It was a perfect experience.

Contacted American-ProTech on Monday. Spoke to Ted and he came by the same afternoon to look at the work required and give an estimate. Said that they were quite busy and it might be a week before they could schedule the work. He called on Wednesday and said he could fit me in on Thursday morning. Ted and his crew came on Thursday morning and did all the work within a few hours. The team was excellent, the work was great, the price was unbeatable, and the result was fantastic. Almost all of the houses in my area have black streaks on their roofs and I would highly recommend American-ProTech as the business to call if you want your roof looking like new.

I want to thank Ted and his associate, Erlend, for the outstanding job they did on treating my roof, bringing the white back to my gutters and power washing the siding. The results are amazing and I am so grateful for their work. In addition to doing a great job, I also want to mention how great Ted and Erlend are to work with as people. Both are highly professional and courteous, conscientious to the environment and committed to making sure that you are satisfied with the work. Ted always followed up in a timely manner to all requests for information and after a minute or two of talking to him you?ll feel like you?re talking to a friend. Ted was at our house within 48 hours of our initial contact. Scheduled on the next warm winter day. They were at the house when they said they would be and described everything about the process. Could not be happier with the entire process and results. My roof looks like new.

Excellent Service. I contacted American-Pro Tech to have my roof cleaned after my HOA inspection flagged it as a violation. I had got two other quotes and Ted beat all of them by a good margin. I had also used their service to power wash the entire exterior of my home. The customer service was very professional and the results were excellent. Also, they are the were the only company who gave me a 4 year warranty for the roof cleaning. I would definitely use them again and recommend them for anyone considering to have their roof cleaned.

Can't speak highly enough of Ted and American-Pro Tech. I tried 2 different commercial products 2-3 times a piece, and even went so far as to get out on my roof and scrub the roof stains by hand, all to no avail. I contacted American-Pro Tech to enlist the services of a professional under a tight timeline in order to appease my local HOA. Ted was able to get me a quote the same day, and performed the work the following morning. The results were outstanding, the customer service was top notch, and the timeline under which he was willing to operate should leave no doubt in anyone's mind that he is the guy to call. He exceeded all our expectations and will likely exceed yours if you give him the opportunity.

Absolutely great. Very professional and responsive. Went out the day after I called. Gave me a couple of options on how to accomplish work. Understood need to comply with home inspection as much as possible. Unfortunately got a call from our buyer who gave him a very difficult time. He was very gracious about it and deflected her attacks. Roof looked absolutely great. As a veteran, he cleaned the entire roof for the same price others quoted for just the back. Great company, great personality to deal with.

I called Ted at American-Protech on Wednesday for an estimate to clean my roof. He returned my call immediately. He came out the next day and looked over project and called me back with a quote. He offered a price I couldn't pass up. He agreed to come out Saturday and clean the roof. He said he would be here between 1:30 and 2:00. At 1:25 he called and said he had just finished a job and was on his way to my house. He arrived 15 minutes later. He was very polite and professional and after just a few minutes of talking with both him and his assistant, Erlin, I felt as if I had know them for years. He explained exactly what he would be doing and what the expected resuts would be. The results were more than I had hoped for. The roof looked brand new and the the gutters were so clean, they too looked like new. I was also having some issues with the roof of my sunroom addition. Erlin and his crew came out and did an excellent job of replacing the roof. Very professional, neat and excellent work ethics. I can't praise their work enough. I have recommended them to many of my neighbors and one has already gotten a quote from them. Kudos to Ted, Erlin and their crew! I would definitely use them again!

Ted came out and cleaned it in about an hour or so. All the black algae was gone, and the lichen turned a bright yellowish color. It was unsightly at first but not even 24 hours had gone by before the patch turned dark brown and with the rain the other day, the lichen patch is getting noticeably smaller. My roof looked dark brown with green flecks when it started, now the roof is back to a chestnut brown color minus the lichen spot which is a darker brown. Overall the roof looks fantastic. This was all done to satisfy a problem my homeowners insurance had. Ted was nice enough to offer a form letter stating that the lichen would be removed overtime as it decomposes. He also added that as a note to the bottom of the receipt.

Fantastic! The entire house looks rejuvenated and the roof and gutters look brand new. The results were even better than expected AND the cleaning procedures met the specifications of the shingle manufacturer. Ted and his partner were very professional, well informed and pleasant every step of the way. They were available, responsive, punctual and dependable. Our problems with the roof began a few years ago when we first suspected a problem. We noticed dark black streaks and patches on our relatively new roof. We had replaced the roof in 2000 with an upgraded asphalt shingle that had a 25 year warranty and were very concerned that the shingles were defective. Our first call was to the roofing company that installed the roof to check out our concerns. The roofer confirmed that we had 12 years remaining on the roof warranty and gave us the 800 number of the asphalt shingle company. The manufacturer was very familiar with this problem and even had a download on the topic: "Algae Staining on Shingled Roof Surfaces". After I described the dark patches and other details, they recommended that the roof be cleaned using very specific procedures and chemicals. The manufacturer stressed that their specific procedures were the ONLY methods that could be used and would protect the remaining warranty on the roof. They further stated that we needed (in writing) a statement that these procedures were used to clean our roof. Since we were only half way through the warranty period, and the roof cost thousands of dollars, we needed to find a cleaning company that followed these EXACT methods. After lots of research on roof cleaning practices and a LONG search of many companies, we found American Pro-Tech on Angies List and called for a estimate. Ted Saunders responded promptly and came by to look at our heavily wooded lot and dirty house as well as provide an estimate. He knew exactly what the manufacturer required AND how to apply that process to clean the roof and other various surfaces (i.e. siding, brick, sidewalks, slate patio, deck). At last, this was the perfect company to clean everything! He answered all our questions and was really knowledgeable and professional. What a relief, we signed up for their services that day! Ted and his partner arrived promptly on the day of the work. They worked for several hours completing the cleaning and kept us informed every step of the way. Everything went as planned and the house looked better than I have ever seen it look! They cleaned the roof, gutters, siding and brick (as needed), window trim, sidewalks, patio, stairwell, deck, and carport ceiling including supporting posts. We had made many improvements scattered over several years and now everything was "like new" again. The final cost of the work was the same as the initial estimate When the work was completed, they provided a written letter describing the cleaning procedures that we need to keep our warranty in force. Yes, we HIGHLY recommend this company!

Thoroughly professional. They do not power wash. instead gently apply a cleaner and moss/fungus killer. Excellent results.At my request, he gave me an estimate for a soft scrub vinly siding cleaning. I will likely be calling him in the near future.

I wanted to obtain a few estimates to have the stains on my roof removed. On a Sunday, I called American ProTech to leave a message to have someone come out and give me an estimate. Within an hour, Ted, the owner called and made arrangements to come by to give me an estimate that same afternoon. I wasn't expecting such a quick response to an estimate and I was pleasantly surprised. Ted came out, took a look, thoroughly explained what caused the roof stains and thoroughly explained what I could expect from the cleaning. He had very good examples of the work he had done in the past and I liked the fact that Ted had a bucket truck to clean the roof. I hired American ProTech on the spot. Ted came out and did the work and I am very pleased with the results. Ted is a true professional and is very knowledgeable and takes the time to explain all aspects of the project. He took great precaution to ensure my shrubbery was not harmed by the cleaning chemicals. I highly recommend American ProTech.

There were dark streaks beginning to become noticeable on the front side of my roof. After researching nearby companies on Angies List, I called American-Pro Tech and talked to Ted, the owner. He made a personal trip out to give an estimate. He was professional and customer-oriented and quoted $350 to clean streaks off of the one side of my roof. We left the date of the service call open. Ted called back and returned to complete the job. I am very satisfied with the appearance of my roof once again. Thank you, American-Pro Tech!

Ted and his helper were great. They took special care of my plants and pond to be sure nothing happened to them. Ted explained everything he was going to do and they went to work. Once finished he explained the results and pointed out areas where they also treated lechen and explained the damage it can cause if untreated. Ted is very knowledgable and does a very good job of explaining his every step. I would highly recommend him and would use him again if ever needed.

I contacted several vendors for quotes to remove the roof mold from my home. I had initially emailed Ted and he responded promptly with some questions. A few weeks went by and I noticed that I never received a quote from him. I emailed him again and he was extremely apologetic about forgetting to send the quote. So much, that he reduced his fee to perform the work. Needless to say I used his services. On the day of service he and his wife were prompt and took measures to protect the plants around my home. He uses a bucket truck to access the roof, which quite frankly, was comforting. The last thing I want is a contractor falling off my two-story roof! The work was superb! He took the time to explain the problem and the process he uses. The mold and lichens disappeared and have not returned. Thanks again for the fine work!

They are a very up front and honest company. They are an excellent company because of the people they have. They are very professional. They came and followed up their initial work to ensure there weren't any issues. The thoroughness of their inspection when they came to do the estimate impressed me. The owner took time and care in discussing how they would protect the siding and the foliage around the house when they applied the algaecide. He was very willing to work with me and I found him to be honest as well as very up front in his approach.

It was a great experience. Ted is one of the most professional and the best spoken of any service provider I have ever contacted to work on my home. He provided the most punctual estimate and service I have ever experienced; less than one week from contacting him till when the work was performed. The results are fantastic. Before and after photos do not capture the quality of the work so I chose not to add them to this review. You will not be disappointed. I cannot recommend him and his company enough.

I called American-ProTech to ask about cleaning my roof. I explained the situation on the phone, and Ted brought my house up on Bing Maps to get an idea of what was needed. He was able to give me an estimate based on that, and the answers to a few questions. He was there the following week. He actually called me an hour before our appointment and asked if it was ok if he came a little early. He worked all morning, washing several times, and then spot-treating some difficult spots. When I came out to talk to him, I was surprised to find that he had cleaned the siding too. I had planned to do that myself, but he saved me the trouble and did a better job than I would have. Ted and his crew did a great job; I would definitely recommend his service.

I signed up for Angie's list specifically to find someone to clean a very badly stained roof. I was thrilled to find a service provider that actually knows what customer service is! Ted was professional and pleasant, and he delivered!! The roof looks like new, which will be a big help when the house is appraised. He tells you step by step what is going to happen and when and it is exactly that. He even did part of the siding that was badly stained as well - at no cost!! When high winds forced a reschedule he communicated that immediately and said why it was necessary, rescheduling the job for the next business day. I can't recommend him enough. If you live in this area and you need your roof and/or siding cleaned you need to call American Pro-Tech!

The roof mold on my original house, re-roofed in 2003, was absolutely black with heavy streaking. Ted did such a good job that the mold is gone and the roof looks like new. The siding on both houses is now totally clean and looks great. He got all of the mold off of my Choice Deck composite decking. He also cleaned all of my exterior wood trim (primarily facia on one house) and got it ready for fall painting. Ted showed up right on time and did exactly what he said he would do. I am very impressed.

Many of my neighbors were having roofs replaced so I took a good look at mine. Since there was no damage or leaks I decided to explore cleaning the ugly black streaks. There are not many companies in the area that specialize in roof cleaning. American Pro-Tech looked good "on paper" and after speaking with the owner I decided to proceed. Ted was able to schedule me within the week. They showed up on time and wasted no time getting the work done. Although I was told what was being used I was not prepared for the strong and lingering smell of bleach. After a heavy rain the smell was gone and the roof looks like new.

I did some research on black algae on northern exposed roofs and called several companies about getting rid of it. Ted's thorough knowledge of what it is and how to treat it convinced me to get an estimate from his company. Ted immediatly performed an estimate and was able to schedule treatment within a couple days. Details of protection of surrounding landscaping and method of application are very professional. I received a flier for American Pro-Tech in the mail. We had just received a letter from our HOA that said we needed our roof shingles cleaned. I called on a Wednesday night. Ted came by and immediately gave us an estimate at a great price. He also gave me information on how he cleans shingles compared to other companies and the pros and cons to both. After talking to him about the cleaning of the siding, Ted immediately came back and did another estimate. We hired him over the phone that night. He came on Saturday and did the work. He was only here for about 1.5 (if that) and the house looks great. Ted and his wife were extremely nice and professional to work with. We would definitely hire him again.
