Steve Spratt Improvements

It went well. They came, fixed the damage problems and left.

Darrell came out to see what work was to be done, then workers came out to demo and install plumbing and flooring. Other workers installed the crown molding trim, and beam. Painter did the powered room, bathroom and bedroom.

Everything was done just as promised, very prompt and competent workers. Good old fashioned personable customer service. Excellent experience!

Everything went great! Did the work quickly and properly. Cleaned up what little mess there was. Very nice people.

The service, as it always has been, was excellent. I called Steve, he came out and discussed the job, estimated time price and was able to beging with quickly. The gutter replacement took no more than three hours. The porch replacement took about four days. This is the 5th time we have had Steve Spratt and team come out and do service. They are excellent every time. They find good guys to work for them. They are all personable, and kept us in the loop about the job. They make us feel very comfortable. If they run into difficulties, they stop the work and discuss any issues with us. As always, we are very pleased.

It went excellent. They did additional work for me as well. They put a security bar across the door for me.

Very well. Steve Spratt did a screened porch for us in 2010. The door developed a problem in 2013. They helped us contact the manufacturer and completed the exchange.

We called and talked to Steve. He arranged to come over to our house that week. He came on time and did a very detailed inspection of the problems. He fixed a couple of our problems on that trip. He recommended that one of the jobs, a Pella double center hinged door be looked at by Pella Service since it was a very specialized system. After thinking about this we decided that this was the best idea, and we separately contacted and got Pella to fix that door. A few days after he was here a proposal arrived which we signed and returned. He contacted us soon after and arranged a day for his workman (also named Steve) would come out. He arrived as arranged and he fixed the remaining problems in a few hours. His office sent a bill with the 5% Angie List discount already factored in. About a month later our deadbolt lock was binding. This is some sort of seasonal problem which was checked when Steve made his inspection trip but was not acting up at the time. He told us to call him if it acted up, so we did. He came out again soon after and came up with a fix which should end any seasonal problems. He applied the fix and charged us for the time.

It went smoothly with very careful and responsive work at every stage.

Crew showed up, set trusses, and replaced beam. Sheathed and "blacked in" roof mated rake boards to cristing roof line. Anthony Sullivan was lead carpenter. He performed all work in an outstanding manner.

All went well. Work was started and finished within projected time frame and quality was excellent!

I went great. The work is nice, the employees are easy to have around and quick to develop solutions to problems. They clean up after themselves daily. There were no surprises when the bill came!

They did a great job. The bathroom is beautiful and much more functional than before. The workers do a great job, they clean up at the end of the day. They are pleasant to have around. They are even good with my dogs and cat.

We have used Steve Spratt before for a back door install, and install of pediments over our windows. They are always punctual, professional, and very, very good at what they do. Demo went quickly. Install was perfectly accomplished. They craftsmen even fixed a small issue with a previously installed door. Always clean when they left. Always gentlemen when they worked. I trust them and would highly recommend them. We will use tem in the future. Also went above and beyond by documenting all the work through stages to prove all termite damage was found, corrected, and documented. They wrote a summary and sent a disk with pictures to document fix.

I am still waiting for an estimate to perform the work. Vendor met with my wife who felt they were very cold and told her they would give me the details of the visit even though she was there. I contacted the vendor a couple of days later to be told they were looking for parts and would call me back. That has not happened to date. I contacted another vendor who came in saw the work got materials and finished the work in less than 2 hours. It is apparent Spratt did not want our business and it would have been more professional to state as much.

Professional, punctual, and great work! The fireplace mantle put in by the home builder was installed too high. Steve and his associate removed the brick supports (that were built into the brick surround) without damaging any of the surround, leveled the surface, and installed wood corbels to support the mantle in a better position. Both took extra care to ensure the work was perfect - neat, level, secure, and visibly attractive.

All went well and workmanship and the workmen are top notch. We got three quotes each time but always can back to Spratt. They always showed up on time, made sure the surrounding areas were protected and when they left at night you could not tell that they had been there. They last job they did for us was our bathrooms. They was an issue with the shower door and they stayed with it until we were satisfied. They come highly recommended.

My husband and I chose Steve Spratt to do our remodeling after much shopping for general contractors in the Fredericksburg area. We could not have chosen better!!! The work done was exceptional in every way and the work crew were delightful to have in our home. The improvements made have made our home so much more comfortable and have been problem free.

The guys that work for Steve are very competent and always showed up when they said they would. When they removed the wall they had to move both plumbing and electrical. They worked extremely hard to contain the dust by erecting barriers of cloth/plastic. Every night when they left they left the construction area looking clean and tidy. All of their work was very well done. Wherever they had to break thru walls and ceilings when it was repaired you couldn't tell once it was painted. I had been told they are the best in fredericksburg, but expensive. I think that pretty well sums them up. They would be my first call on my next home renovation.

The Spratt employees were first rate in their work, clean up, attitude and communication from the person who prepared the quote to those who executed the work. We can't praise them enough. Some of the work was subcontracted, and was less in quality and contributed to the length of the job, including the stair contractor, dry waller and painters. The electrical contractor was superb. Through no fault of Spratt employees, the work really dragged, and after several months, we just wanted to sign off...although the company offers to keep bringing people back until the customer is satisfied. They are a really good company. If we were to use them again, I'd chat more in depth about what's being subcontracted, and what kind of controls are in place (including the availability of alternative workers) if the work produces problems. Overall, the place was transformed beyond belief.

He was on time, friendly and professional. The next day I received a nice brochure in the mail from them. When I didn't go with them I even received a follow up survey in the mail. The office is really on top of things!
