Description of Work: I need branches trimmed so they no long rubbed on the roof. They did a great job and checked the roof for repair. Based on my experience I have no problem recommending them.

Description of Work: I scheduled a consultation with Matthew Tierney (owner and arborist) of Mots Tree Service. Intent was to get an initial assessment of 21 leyland cypress trees to determine if any would need to be removed in order to install a fence. Matt arrived on time, in uniform, and was extremely pleasant and professional. We assessed my property and trees and he recommended that the trees be trimmed instead of removed. This recommendation was based on my intent to maintain a level of privacy screening that the trees provided. Even though I had initially indicated that I thought some trees would need to be removed, Matt explained that due to the closeness of the trees, I would be disappoited with the result if some trees were selectively removed (since there would be sparse growth where ajacent trees blended). I appreciated that Matt didn't push for removing trees (even though that is part of his business). In the end, Matt provided a reasonable cost estimate in the event I decided to remove trees. For this project, I went with his recommendation to trim the trees. But, I know that I will absolutely use Mots Tree Service in the event that I ever need to remove a tree.

+ -1 moreI called the company three days ago. They said they had another appointment in my neighborhood today so they scheduled me. They knocked on my door at 9am and were done within an hour. There were at least 4 guys working, and they were working very hard. They are billing me for the job, not even asking for payment upfront. I will definately call them again in the future as they are working on a holiday for me and they made light work of a big headache for me.
Description of Work: I needed a Bradford Pear cut down which had split in half during a recent storm. It took them less than an hour to cut it, chip it, grind out the stump and to clean up.

+ 0 moreMot's sent out an appraiser. He took much time walking our land, checking trees and gave us his assessment of our situation. He was very honest, even telling us of trees that didn't need to be cut that we though would need to come down. Not only did he give us a very good estimate, but even suggested if we were not in a hurry, scheduling later in the year might be better for us. This saved us $$$! I highly recommend Mot's staff and crew!
Description of Work: Our house is surrounded my trees. Trees have been each time heavy winds are in the forecast. Once a tree fell, totally our 3500 GMC Truck!

+ -1 moreMots came out to look at a few trees that i requested that are too close to my house. I wanted to see whether I needed to take them out and needed a trusted service. They came out the very day I requested my service and spent a lot of time looking at my trees and giving me an honest assessment. Many less trustworthy contractors would tell you to take them out just to get the money, but he said that they looked fine and that we could just take off a few limbs to move the weight of the tree around and to ease the amount of leaves falling into my gutters. They came out and took off a few limbs right away and billed me later which was great. My only reservation, and why they earned a B in professionalism instead of an A, was that I thought that they could've done a much better job in cleaning up after. There were a lot of piles of sawdust and leaves and acorns all over my front walkway and I would've appreciated a sweep after to clean things up more. I had other friends that have used this co and they said their cleanup was perfect, so it doesn't seem to be the routine for them, but it was for my experience with them.

+ -1 moreI called the office, and Rodney was able to come over that same day to look at it. He gave me the quote and said he could take care of it the next day while I was at work. I came home, and TADA! It was all done, tree stumps gone, he used one of those machines to grind them into the dirt. Even though he had to get that machine onto my lawn to do the work, you couldn't tell, the grass wasn't damaged at all. I just joined Angies' list, that's why I've l posted this now. But I was so happy with the work done, I've kept Rodney's card on my fridge in case I ever needed to use Mot's Tree service again!
Description of Work: I had several medium tree stumps that had to be removed.

+ -1 moreTHEY ARRIVED ON TIME. DID THE JOB THEY WERE SUPPOSE TO DO. HAD ADDITIONAL WORK DONE TO THE BACKYARD AREA. WOULD RECOMMEND THEM TO OTHERS IN THE AREA. THE AMOUNT PAID TO THEM WAS NOT TOO BAD EITHER.
