The crew safely cut down and removed 4 large dead trees, preventing damage to our home.

We wanted to save the trees, so choosing an arborist was extremely important to us. Matt was also in favor of saving the trees, but unfortunately they were rotten with a tree fungus. It killed me to take them down, but once MOT's cut it, we discovered that it had rotted so severely that one bad storm could caused it to fall on the house. Matt calculated exactly how to fell all of the trees so not to damage any others on the property (and there are several in the vicinity of all of the ones he took down). Despite the very large oak tree in the front being close to several other trees and above a gazebo, Matt and his team were able to remove the branches and trunk of the tree without damaging any of them. We figured that we would lose at least one other tree - if not have the gazebo damaged - but were pleasantly surprised that this did not happen. Matt took his time and was very professional - to both us and his team (they work very well together). He is extremely polite and considerate, has the appropriate tools for the job and is very, very knowledgeable. He was very helpful, answering any questions we had, inspecting other trees on the property for potential issues, providing us with advice for trimming and caring for them, and even walked us through the his planned process on the day of the felling. We are very pleased with MOT's (Matt is the owner) and his team.

At the estimate Matt inspected our entire yard, not just the trees we were concerned about. In addition to our issues, he identified a few things that we needed to keep an eye on in the future and things we didn't need to do (we had a dogwood in the brush that we thought needed to come out, Matt suggested leaving it alone). We were very concerned about a large oak in our front yard but Matt said it was in perfect health and gave suggestions on how to keep it that way. The crew did the entire job in one day. They had plenty of guys working. Everything was done to our complete satisfaction and I have 0 complaints. They also left us all the wood chips in a convienient pile to use around our trees. I'll be using them for all future tree issues and would recommend them to anybody.

They did a professional job, big crew, very polite. Definitely would use again and recommend to others. A little pricey compared to others but did a good job, no issues.

They did it when they said they were going to do it. What I ended up paying was the same amount of his estimate. They did a really good job. They have no room for improvement. I was happy with everything they did. Their price was a little bit high.

They did a great job and thoroughly cleaned up all the branches and wood. We will continue to use them in the future as needed.

The job took approximately a day and a half. MOT'S Tree Service had all the right equipment and personnel to do the job.

I wanted to be present when the work was being done and I was also moving back into my house that day. I specifically requested that the tree in the front of the garage be trimmed first for the ease of the movers. Matt and his staff really worked with me to ensure that I kept that appointment and when I arrived at the house with the moving van, the tree had already been trimmed as requested. He worked hard that day to trim all of my trees and the next day his team came back to remove all the branches and clean out the tree line. They did a great job and I would use Mot's Tree Service again.

Matthew clearly explained what he would do when he came to give me an estimate. He gave me a very detailed listing of all of the work that would be done and said that given the trees that were involved, he would do all of the actual trimming himself. He answered all of my questions and spent time going over everything with me. I think the amount charged for the work involved was very reasonable. I was very pleased with the work that was done. My trees look fabulous! Matthew trimmed out the dead branches and shaped the trees appropriately with regard to the kind of tree involved which was very important to me. I plan to have MOT's back in the spring and will recommend them to friends and neighbors. Thank you MOT'S and thank you Angie's List!

Estimate was competitive but we selected another provider.

I contacted the provider, spoke with their scheduler and set up an appointment for a representative to visit my house and provide me with an estimate for the trees I needed removed. No only did they no show up, when I called to inquire as to their whereabouts, the scheduler said she was "mixed up" and that she scheduled my job estimate for that Friday, August 30. Two days later and Friday came and went. They did not show up again! I will not use or recommend them. Totally unprofessional and it is disrespectfully to not even call.

If all companies were like Mot's, I would die a happy camper. From the office worker who schedules the work to the most junior clean-up crew member, all of Mot's employees have a strong work ethic and seem to be happy working there. I'm a big believer in you get what you pay for. You want Cheap Charlie and his workers to cut some trees down? Are they qualified? Have they had the continuing education offered by the state? Is the owner an arborist licensed by the state? Are the workers insured in case that chain saw slips (the average chain saw injury requires 118 stitches!). If not, how's your umbrella liability insurance policy? Will it cover workers who *aren't* qualified? Ugh, who wants to deal with these issues! Matthew, the owner, is a certified arborist and exceeds state requirements for his workers. There's never any doubt about licensing and insurance matters. Unlike other tree company workers who show up with chain saws at the ready, Matthew took the time first to inspect each tree I had concerns about and tell me if it should be cut down or not, and why. The customer is the boss, but he has the qualifications, book knowledge, and hands-on expertise to know which trees need to go and which trees should be saved and is happy to tell you why. At no time did he try to push any services on me to bump his price. His crew showed up on time to do the work. They were unfailingly polite and answered all my questions. They were careful with their heavy equipment around my other trees and grounds, and were quick to respond when I had any special requests. I left the cost blank because each person's job will be different and the cost will vary. I will say that his cost is competitive and well worth every penny considering the level of professionalism you get. My experience with this company was so great that I find myself looking around my yard for other things for Mot's to do. I can recommend them without hesitation and will definitely use them for any future tree work.

Job went perfectly. The crew was punctual and professional. They cut down the trees requested and ground out the stump for the one tree in the front yard. Very happy with Mathew and his crew! Top notch Tree service I would highly recommend them. They know what they are doing and they do the job right!

after attempting to contact them 3 times, we finally got a call back. we had set up a time for the people at mot's service to come over, but they failed to show completely. we had a previous experience that was good, however the management of the schedule could use some serious improvement. having 2 children makes it difficult to schedule appointments, so if the professional is running late, then we should have received notice.

Matt Tierney wrote a long detailed report for me with a diagram of the various trees and a brief summary of each ones condition. He was extremely generous with him time and did a very thorough job. I definitely will hire Mot's Tree Service in the future when any of my trees need to be cut down. I highly recommend this Company and Matt Tierney in particular!!!

From start to finish, I couldn't have been more pleased. Matthew was very professional and gave me the best price on the services I needed. He was very knowledgeable and answered any questions I had. On the day of the removal, the crew arrived exactly when expected. They had to remove a portion of my fence to get the stump grinder into my backyard and were very careful. All the work was done quickly and I was happy with all they did.

We needed someone to fell a tree that was between my neighbor's and my home without hitting my home or going onto the neighbor's yard. He did it promptly and put it exactly where we wanted it. He even cut down another white oak with no charge.

They were very quick to respond whenever I called them. The estimate they gave was exactly what it was. There were no hidden fees. They were here promptly. I couldn't have asked for a better service.

I contacted MOT's Tree Service after several failed attempts of contacting other tree service companies. MOT's came out right away and gave me the estimate on the spot. Even though the job was not large, MOT's Tree Service came out the very next morning after the quote and took care of everything as expected. The site was clean and there was no evidence that we had just had some debris cleaned up anywhere in the yard, driveway, or street. I highly recommend MOT's Tree Service as they are courteous, quick, and professional.

These guys were great. Very competant and professional. The work crew was very efficient and friendly. I have 5 total bids on the job including three from "drive by" people looking for work. It is not usually a good idea to hire drive bys even if they are cheaper. Infact, Mot's was the 2nd lowest bid and they were certified and insured and provided documents proving so. That plus they were local and had advertised in my church bulletin indicated to me that they were a competant outfit. In retrospect, hiring them was the best decision. They showed up for work on time, and were very accomodating in locating the stove wood in a convenient location. I saved some money by having them chip up the branches and leaves and blowing them into a location on the property so I could use the wood chips as mulch. The owner's son is an arborist and was very firendly and competant. They finished the job 1/2 day earlier than scheduled and the final price was the contract price. I tipped the crew forman. They had one guy who was the tree climber and sawyer high up and he was very good.

Our experience with them was superb. We have two huge maple trees and their roots grow out of the ground. There was not much grass around them since the canopy of them is so big. Matt came out and looked at the roots to make sure they did not crack our foundation. He did some stump grinding in the front. He cut a trench along the back of the house and cut through the roots. He also trimmed some of our trees. He knows what he's doing. We were very pleased with his service. He did do some extra work for no additional charge. We will be calling him for any future tree work. We was very good about calling and getting here on time. They are a very responsive company. They know what they are talking about. There was an airborn fungus growing and he did research on it for us.

Quoted a difficult tree removal. Two competitive quotes were double (or more) his price. He arrived as agreed finished the job and cleaned up all the slash. Excellent work.

MOTs was great and I will definitely use them again. They used great care when placing the large crane, a few of the legs had to be placed in my garden, but they took great care to not seriously impact any of the plants. The removal of the trees, and one of the stumps, was incredibly smooth, careful, and methodical and I appreciated that they took their time to be careful so close to my house. They ground the stump down near the house and chipped and removed all of the debris. Cleanup was great!
