It went very well. The crew came did their work and left my yard clean. I get compliments on my door all of the time.

I've used The Home Doctor a few times over the years, each time they've done a perfect job at a very competitive price point. I've made recommendations to friends and family based on my own experience, and I know they've been happy too. I can't recommend these guys enough for exterior work!

They were pretty good! They came and they did the work and I'm happy.

first appointment no show, second appointment wrong product used, re-do scheduled. 1st appointment no show, second appointment, no show, 3rd appointment no show. Installation woes started in beginning November, done in late December after numerous emails and phone calls. Appointments with installers never materialized and the numerous emails and phone calls from CEO were a waste of time. We have two pending issues - a "substantial discount" offered by CEO and a ladder that I've requested be pickup and still resides in my home.

The job went well-roof looks great. The company was very responsive to remedying my after project concerns. Very professional company. Will definitely solicit estimates for future home work. Very positive experience for an expensive project. Gave pricing for roof replacement based on various grades of shingles. I choose one of the more expensive/higher grade shingles. Note that there was no hard sell to select the higher grade shingle. Would hire again.

I DO NOT recommend The Home Doctor. They should change the company name to Rip-Off Roofers! They lure you in with what seems to be a good deal, and then the overestimate the size of your roof so the customer is overcharged. They charged me for an additional 800 square feet of material that they did not use costing me about $2000 above what they should have charged. Additionally, the crew drove onto my yard in several places leaving big ruts. They didn’t even ask. Fortunately, they didn’t drive over the septic tank area. The crew also left trash all over my yard to include coffee cups, half eaten fruit, orange peels, and food wrappers. I’m still finding roofing nails in my yard as well. UPDATE: After I posted my review, the owner of the company is threatening to sue me!

The Home Doctor crew did a great job. They showed up on time and ready to go. An assessment of the job was made by the lead man. He asked for any questions or concerns I had-had none. The site of the old door was cleared and the crew removed all debris. The new door was professionally installed and all actions were confirmed. The crew thoroughly cleaned the work site before departure. I was very pleased with the quality work of the Home Doctor company Top notch!!

I got a quote quickly and easily from The Home Doctor, and they sent someone to my house with samples of the different materials and colors to make sure that the selections we made on the website would look just as good on the house as they did online. They were communicative about the timeline for the door to arrive, and very easy to schedule a time for the install. The two installers were very friendly and competent, arrived right on time, and walked me through the project. They ended up having to rebuild more of the doorframe than originally anticipated (140 year old row house...), but worked a long day to make sure that the whole project would be completed on the same day. They did a great job compensating for all the off-angle parts of an old home, and we ended up with up door that is everything we hoped for.

Great! I had Zach come out in August and give me an estimate. I was not able to get it at that time, but as soon as I was I called and I was scheduled right away. Which was great because a day after the installation, we had a very heavy rain and I don't think that my old roof would have made it through. Zach called following the install to see how everything went which was really nice of him. The crew dropped off the supplies the day before, and arrived around 8:00 am the next morning and completed early afternoon. They took care of all of the trash and magnet vacuumed the lawn and surrounding areas, if it weren't for the lawn sign advertising their work, you would never know that they had been here.

It's been a few months since the job was done. Roof looks great and so far, seems to be doing its job.

The whole process went great! Every question was answered immediately. The day that the roof was put on, the workers arrived early, so they could get started. They were polite, and very professional. We couldn't have been more satisfied. We would definitely recommend this company, and/or use them again.

The entire job went very well! The materials were delivered onto my roof the day prior, and then the crew was punctual the next morning and completed the job in one day as anticipated!

There were communication issues at first. The skylight was measured several times, update on progress was patchy - At first. After several weeks, we finally came to an understanding with regard to the type of skylight that was to be installed. Owner of company got involved. They tried to fix the issue.

We are pleased with the installation process and the results.

They didn't perform the promised services and then gave us the runaround. A number of things went wrong, but the most frustrating for my wife and I is how they installed the downspout. The old one was set up so that it left the house a foot off the ground over a brick walking path, an obvious tripping hazard. The salesman promised both my wife and I separately that they would not repeat this hazard with the new downspout. But they did. We have repeatedly contacted them about this and they have on two separate occasions acknowledged their mistake and promised to send someone to fix it within the next week who has subsequently failed to show up. Additionally, they left nails and other debris in the yard, did not contact us prior to showing up (at a time where we were unavailable), and then bullied my visiting mother, who was watching my kids and had no idea what the job was as they had not set up a time for installation, into signing the work completion form when we were away. The workers said they did not have time for her to even call us. Thugs.

In both cases, the company representatives showed up at the as promised time and preformed the work and the associated clean-up in a timely, efficient and professional manner.

They perform great service and are professional. The whole process is smooth. Price is great too.

1) Purchased sliding glass door replacement coupon Order #ANGE-437756610557 to have The Home Doctor replace my McLean, VA cracked door. 2) Called company to arrange for them to come out to measure for installation telling them their contact person was Anthony Bennett (my tenant) and supplying his and my phone numbers. 3) Mr. Bennett arranged mutual time and "John" came out to house to measure. John said it was a standard door requiring no upcharge for custom work. 4) I called company to confirm no additional charges and this was confirmed. I then ordered the door and was told it would take 3-4 weeks. 5) Several weeks later Mr. Bennett called me and said no one had come out to replace door nor had anyone called him to discuss work date despite his calls to company. 6) Called company and was informed that coupon had been cancelled but that I could still have the work done if I would give them my credit card number. 7) I then checked my Angie's List acccount and email finding no record of coupon cancellation or refund. 8) called company and told them this saying I did not want to pay twice and that I would have to get issue straightened out with Angie's first. This is when Angie's List got involved who called the company. 9) company called and said prior was misunderstanding and they would do the work, again with a 3-4 week wait. 10) got call from Mr. Bennett (my tenant) who told me company insisted that replacement door had to be "brown" color in conformance with local home owners assoc rules and we would have to pay $300 more. 11) Mr. Bennett, who is the long time President of the Home Owner's Assoc., informed company that the Assoc had no such rules and homeowners were free to install any color they wanted...so please come out and install the originally order "White". 12) Meanwhile I went to China on business expecting the work to be done as ordered. Got call from Mr. Bennett that company despite their original measurements and assurances that the door was "standard", the door was suddenly determined to be "non-standard" and would require $300 upcharge. (How this was determined is unknown since they never revisited the house after the initial measurement by "John"). 13) I call company and Mr. Gehrig again said the coupon was cancelled and this time blamed it on Mr. Bennett who was "rude". Company rep Mr. Gehrig then hung up on me. I called right back to state that he needed to contact Angies to get my money returned. 14) I am now awaiting return of my payment from Angie's

Excellent job and excellent quality. Very responsive team. You must order the door and wait several weeks for delivery, but it was well worth the wait.

They were early and began work right away. Finished nine windows by noon! Great

Assessed the area within a few days, ordered the part, installed within 3-4 weeks.

Terrible experience. Person who came to quote the job didn't have a measuring tape long enough to measure my attic, I had to lend them one. Work was to be completed within 7 days (mid-October) and 2 days prior to the date the contractor notifies me they have a schedule conflict and will not be able to come out. I call the Home Doctor and they assign it to another sub-contractor who calls to confirm the appointment and that he is to install blown in loose fill, I tell him it is Batt and he tells me he doesn't do that. Call Home Doctor they assign it to another sub-contractor for an install 2nd week of November, he calls day before the install date and indicates that as he is based in Maryland 3 to 4 hours from my house in Richmond that he won't be able to do the job. Call Home Doctor they will try to reschedule for the following week. No appointment made and when I follow up the owner calls back to say he would like come out to make sure the measurements are correct and so that he can see for himself what needs to be done. He is due to come out on a Saturday calls that morning because he has a flat tire and reschedules for the next day. Measures, videos says he knows exactly what needs to be done. A week later the schedule the job, the day of Install they don't show up between 9 and 3 as agreed, at 4 pm they show up with loose fill insulation. Call home Doctor they reschedule for the following week (we are now into December) for install between 10 and 2, at 8:30 am the Home Doctor calls to advise the installer is at my house and if I am not back quickly they are going to leave, reschedule for the next day. They show up on time but tell me there is a problem. By this time I have talked to everyone in the Home Doctor Office and the owner has apologized and said he will adjust the price for the inconvenience. If I had been smart I would have requested my deposit back, instead wanting to give a round businessman another chance I stuck it out. The reschedule and then due to a schedule conflict the sub-contractor cancels, Home Doctor says they will get back to me with a new install date, but several days go by without a response, but the day of the cancelled install an installer shows up with can you guess - Loose Fill insulation. Call the Home Doctor who don't understand why they are at my door, installers not to happy as they have driven two hours for nothing. Job rescheduled to last week when the job was finally completed 3 months behind schedule. Installer was great. Home Doctor calls to see if I am happy with the install and to let me know the invoice will be emailed to me. I receive it with no price adjustment, I call them back and they say they will speak with the owner, revised invoice arrives with a $ 100 adjustment. My advise to anyone contemplating using the Home Doctor is to not even let them quote on the job, if it takes them 3 months to get 600 sqft of insulation installed I wouldn't trust them to put up a tent. By the way none to happy with Angies list as recourse in these cases is virtually nonexistent so I will probably also switch to a competitor.

I hired their services during an Angie's List Big Deal promotion. They were very professional, from the initial site survey and measurement to final installation and clean-up. The team was very thorough to make sure everything fit just right. They even repaired minor wood damage around the frame (though they were not obligated to do so). Their attention to detail, and willingness to go above and beyond for the customer earns them an "A" grade.

Got a quote from Philip and decided to go with him, his tech came at less then a week later and the job was installed 3-4 weeks later. The team did flawless work and finish all within a day.

Another great experience with “The Home Doctor, ” competitive pricing, excellent installation crew, and prompt follow up. Installation crew was on time, worked straight through to completion (6. 5 hrs) and did an excellent job of cleaning up. The doors, windows and trim look great and the fit and finish is excellent. We couldn’t be happier with the outcome.
