Roof Real Clean

We hired Paulo approx 2 years after another company cleaned our roof (and charged us just shy of TWICE as much). Our algae had returned within approx 1 year from that company's treatment, and there was no warranty with that company. Paulo explained their process, and explained that algae could possibly return in the future, but if they cleaned it, and applied their preventative every year, before the algae starts to return, the roof will remain clean. We decided to try it. It has now been 3 years since the original cleaning, and although it costs us $300 each year for Roof Real Clean to maintain it with their preventative, it's well worth it because the roof looks like new, even though it's almost 20 years old. Roof Real Clean arrived on-time for all appointments, and requested/required no money up front. After the original cleaning was performed, and the roof dried, I noticed a couple of areas that I thought might not be clean. I brought it to Paulo's attention, and he had the entire roof cleaned again to make sure it was spotless. They clean the gutters, inside and out, as part of their Angie's List offer. I highly recommend them, and will continue to use them every year to keep our roof looking as good as new. UPDATE (August 2013): Mauricio's crew arrived at the scheduled time, and were easy to communicate with. The results were fantastic. There was a bit of a glitch this time, however. The crew apparently somehow affected our satellite dish on the roof, and after they left, we no longer had satellite reception for our TVs. After contacting our satellite provider and arranging a service call (for 4 days later), I contacted Mauricio. He was very apologetic, and with no questions asked, offered to pay for the satellite provider's service call fee. The day after our satellite connection was repaired, Mauricio contacted me to again apologize for us not having TV for 4 days, and to ask if we were satisfied with the roof. (Rain and darkness had prevented us from getting a good/dry look at the roof for days.) I explained we were very satisfied with the roof. He was so concerned about our satisfaction that he offered to not charge us at all for the cleaning! That kind of customer service is amazing! I refused his generous offer because I want him to stay in business so he can continue to keep our roof clean every year, and businesses need to have some profit to survive in this economy. I HIGHLY recommend Mauricio and Roof Real Clean. Recommend anyone who uses them to clean their roof, to arrange for Mauricio (or Paulo) to return within a year, each year, to apply a protectant (for 1/3 of the cost of the cleaning). That protectant will keep stains away for a year, and if it doesn't, they'll clean the roof again (for a third of the cost of cleaning). It's a win-win. It certainly worked well for us. When I called the company on Wednesday, Paulo answered after a few rings. He was very cordial and after explaining to him the services we desired, he said he would send one of his experienced roofing crews to assess the condition of our roof on Friday and then he would call us on Saturday to give the estimate. He said a crew would come in the afternoon between 2 and 4, and that no one would need to be around. I was happy with how this went. The three-man crew arrived around 2 PM on Friday and immediately took to the task. I wasn't watching closely, but they did climb up on the roof and walk around the house. It seemed to me that they were taking pictures and I thought this part went OK. Due to the devastating thunder storm that took out power, telephone and internet service over our region, I had to call Paulo back on Tuesday. He then gave me the detailed condition of our roof, including about the rusty vent. He also told me the price for the services and said he could send the estimate and detailing pictures in email, which he promptly sent. After looking over the estimate, I called him back a bit later in the day and we arranged Friday at 9 AM for the service. I was pleased with how this process went. The two-man crew arrived a few minutes before the scheduled time and began getting setup. After we signed the estimate and release, they began working the garages and front side of the roof. They used a commercial grade power washer (on the ground) supporting a rotary brush machine (on the roof) combined with a special bio-degradable cleaner to clean the roof in most areas. The machine seemed to only take off a little bit of the rough cover material on our asphalt shingles. They continued to do the rest of the roof with the machine as much as it was able to cover, which was about 95% of our roof. They switched to using the power washer with the cleaner on the less accessible parts of the roof, the gutters and the eaves. The processed used here seemed to be an apply, let sit a bit, and rinse. I was very pleased with how this went too. The weather condition that day was very hot (104) and the skies were sunny all day. The crew worked for about four and a half hours, taking a few short breaks for water and from the heat and a hour lunch break around 11 AM. The crew was also very cordial and even offered to leave us some of the cleaner. I am very pleased with the outcome because the roof went from looking old and dingy to looking like brand new. Their work is impressive.

Very smooth. We got a call back quickly; and an estimate was prepared and dropped off promptly. And the work proceeded from there . . . .

I called and spoke to Paulo, who promptly arranged for one of his professionals to come inspect my heavily stained roof. Paulo called back the same day with an estimate that was substantially below other estimates I had previously received. He also informed me that his roof inspector found my shingles to be in very good shape, so no repair was necessary. His offer also included cleaning my gutters, power washing the garage siding, and caulking of three vent pipes. Work was scheduled for the following week. The team worked about 6 hours, doing a very thorough job. The following day, I noticed a few spots that remained and called Paulo to see if perhaps it was because it wasn't dry yet. He told me it should indeed be dry and should look perfect. So he sent his professionals back that same day and they took care of the stubborn stains. My roof is spotless! Paulo is one of those rare individuals who takes pride in his business, really cares about his customers, and works to ensure they are 100% satisfied. It was a pleasure to work with him. I would highly recommend his company!

Our interactions with them were very well. They were very knowledgeable about everything so that we could make an educated decision. We were very satisfied with the work overall. They were on time. Any time we needed to speak with them, we were able to contact them with no problem.

I called and spoke with Paolo about his company and they came out later that day to make an estimate. I was not home when they checked my roof, so we agreed on the service and price over the phone, and they came, as scheduled, 3 days later. The team that did the cleaning was professional and thorough. It took about three hours to clean the roof and clean off the house and porch of debris that dropped from the roof. I had asked if they could also clean our front stoop because the brick also looked dirty from algae growth. They did so without an additional charge and it looks brand new. Paolo requested that I wait a day or so to mail the check so that I could be sure that the job was acceptable after the roof dried. No down payment was required.

They came out to do a quote on the roof cleaning work and Francisco took his time educating us on the process they use to clean the roof. They made sure all our questions were answered and educated us to make an informed decision. We were expecting to clean the entire roof but after a thoughtness inspection he told us we only needed the garage and the from of the house. Both facing north. We saw pictures of previous works they had done to have an idea of different problems people experience with their roofs I appreciated him being on time and honoring all appointments. Overall it was a really nice experience woring with them.

Metro Roof Cleaning came out and cleaned my roof last week, and did a GREAT job! I was so pleased with the results, especially since we are getting ready to have open houses to sell our place. I found the owner, Francisco Bernardes to be friendly, responsible, and very professional. I definitely recommend metro roof cleaning to anyone who is considering having their roof cleaned; it really makes a huge difference in the appearance of your house. In a few weeks they're even coming back to power wash out patio!

The front side of my lower roof badly needed cleaning. I was given an estimate a few days after I called, and the work was performed as scheduled. They did a very good job. I have used this company before and would do so again.

I called on Thursday and the work was performed on Saturday.

Paul was great. I contacted him, got a call and signed a contract on the same day. He cleaned my roof and my gutters the next day. Also replaced gaskets x 2. Can't get better service than that. Would highly recommend him!

Paul's a pro all around. He was prompt at every visit and very professional. When he saw the front of my house he said he would also clean the front of it which also had a lot of dirt on it from over the years. Needless to say the whole house looks great! Oh, by the way did I mention he also cleaned all of my gutters?! Why can't Paul run other home service companies? Don't hesitate going with Paul, you won't be disappointed!

I called Thursday afternoon, talked to Paulo and told his what I needed and gave him the address. He visited the house Friday morning, and called me right away with a proposal and price to do the work. I wanted it done quickly and he responded that he could do it on Monday On Monday he came to my house promptly at 9AM, as scheduled, presented a contract proposal, provided lots of information on the nature of the mold/mildew problem and , when I was completely satisfied, started to work. He did a beautiful job and the roof looks like new. In summary, he was everything you want a contractor to be - responsive, open, honest, prompt, reliable, I would hire him (and his worker) again in a heartbeat

I had a great experience with Paul from Real Roof Clean. He was responsive and came the next day to give me an estimate. He told me that he would throw in cleaning the front of the house too because he saw some dirt there and that he would also clean my gutters too. The gutters were filled with God knows what so that the gutter on the roof was stained black right where the drainage was. Once they started to clean the roof the black water came dripping down all over the siding, on the deck and just about everywhere. So they landed up power-washing my house too to make it clean, not just the front, and cleaned everything where the debris fell, even my driveway. He said his guy is also a roofer and he checked my roof and said it was still in very good shape and should service me for many years to come. His guy even found some loose flashing and fixed that too. He guaranteed his work for one full year and said that he would come back to see if everything was still okay next year at no cost. Though I got another estimate that was less from another outfit I guarantee they wouldn't have done all that extra because they would have charged me for power-washing my siding so it landed up being comparable and better in the long run and the other outfit wouldn't have given me a guarantee, nor would they come back next year to check anything out. Paul said I shouldn't have to clean my roof for 2-3 years. They shampoo the roof, not just spray a chorine - water application. They came around 10:00 and left at 4:00. They were very professional and I would definitely recommend him and would definitely use his services again.

I contacted several companies for roof cleaning estimates. From the moment Paolo answered the phone, he informed me of their services and products. He even offered to visit that same day to provide an estimate. Roof Real Clean also accommodated our request to have the work completed in a short period of time. They completed the project 2 days after we selected them and the finished result was great.

Everything, from initial estimate through doing the work, went very smoothly. The roof is beautiful. The person doing the cleaning even managed to remain on the roof, unfazed, during the earthquake! Highly recommend!

Excellent work, I couldn't be more pleased. Roof and siding that was adjacent to roof is completely mildew free. No damage to plants or grass after the treatment. They also sealed the flashing on my chimney and did a complete roof inspection. My roof looks like new again and mildew on siding is cleaned as well. Overall, Paul and Roof Real clean is one of the best contractors I've had the pleasure of working with.

It had recently rained when he came out, so he asked if he could come back again the next day when the roof was dry to make sure he didn't miss anything b/c of the wet roof. I appreciated this thoroughness, as well as his promptness when showing up for appointments. We felt extremely comfortable working with Paulo and greatly enjoyed working with him. Paulo did not require any kind of deposit and only collects payment after he is sure that we were happy with their work. He called the day before they came to clean the roof and we were not required to be home. HIs employee was very friendly and did an excellent job cleaning the roof. After he cleaned the gutters, he went out of his way to clean up the debris on the ground and even power washed the front porch. He seemed to take great pride in doing a good job and going above & beyond, which we very much appreciated. We had a great experience and definitely recommend this company to anyone.

Paulo came to provide an estimate and he was very knowledgable about the roof providing proof with pictures of prior work and professionalism by providing proof of license and insurance. We agreed on a tentative date based on days not being too hot. When Paulo came to do the work, we had to reschedule due to water pressure issues and he was willing to do in two days. On the second try, they cleaned the roof and all traces of moss were gone and the cleaning of gutter, which was included as a promotion to Angie's List member, was done as expected. We are very pleased with Roof Real Clean and we highly recommend them.

The experience with Roof Real Clean was great! Paul called two days in advance to confirm our scheduled date for the cleaning service. He gave us a time frame for arriving and showed up within the time block. He did not ask for or require any payment in advance of completing the work. Roof Real Clean uses experienced roofers to do the work so they can identify any problems with the roof while they are cleaning. We actually had three gaskets on our roof that were in rather bad shape. Since the company uses roofers, they were able to replace the gaskets immediately and at a very reasonable price. They saved the old gaskets to show so that we could see what they looked like. Once they completed the work, Paul called the next day to make sure we were satisfied with the work and to arrange payment. We were extremely happy with our experience and would highly recommend this company.

I had been very concerned about the dark streaks on sections of our 10-year-old roof, which made the house look old, but was apprehensive about having anyone clean it, was afraid they might cause damage. Although Roof Real Clean was recommended by a neighbor, I checked them out on Angie's List and saw they were rated very highly. Paolo responded quickly to my e-mail and they were out within a few days. They cleaned and checked the roof, and cleaned inside and outside the gutters. Everything looks new. Paolo is very pleasant to deal with and I am very pleased with the service. This was definitely money well spent.

From the beginning, these guys were professional and courteous. They arrived to do the bid in the middle of a massive heat wave with a complete dossier of references and before and after photos of their work. The owner places his crew's safety very high and we agreed that with the heat wave, the job could wait a few days rather than run the risk. They place a premium on customer satisfaction and will not even accept a deposit prior to the work being completed. When the day came for the job, they arrived promptly at around 9:15 and went straight to work and required nothing from us. They were done by 2:30 including site cleanup.

We had a short budget, an algea covered roof and an HOA with it' nose out of joint. Roof Real Clean was amazing. They worked with my budget, they had the work done within 24 hours of estimate and our roof looks fantastic! I can't recomend this group highly enough.
