Description of Work: We reached out - the vendor came by to look, and told us that the service would be insufficient to get the result we wanted. Tried to coordinate getting a more extensive service scheduled, but weren't able to get it scheduled with the vendor. At this time we've made a different decision, so we no longer need this service.

Description of Work: We worked together on figuring out an appropriate schedule. They arrived on the selected date and time and promptly began the aeration and over-seeding. I paid extra for some fertilizer and lime not only because they recommended it, but because I did some preliminary research that showed it might be beneficial. I am glad I did. I also listened to their recommendation to water it daily (barring rainy days). It has been 3 weeks and the once bare, empty patches of dirt in my yard now has small patches of grass growing. Can't wait to see what it will look like this summer. Will definitely use them again, Angie's List deal or not.

When I addressed this with the service provider, he indicated that there's no way they could perform the service at the "Big Deal" price. Felt like a bait and switch to me. Would not recommend.

+ -1 moreDavid and his crew completed the work over a three-day period. They were very thorough, not neglecting any of the smaller or more awkwardly-placed parts of the lawn. With each step, they blew the leaves off the lawn first to maximize exposure. Once the work was complete, David was good about carefully explaining the steps I needed to take in order to ensure that the seed takes, as well as answering my follow up questions. Overall I was very impressed by the quality of their work and the work ethics shown by the company -- they work after dark or on weekends as needed to complete the job and fit in all their clients at busy times of year like now. It's an easy decision to continue work with Potomac Lawn. When I realized that our neighborhood leaf collection was only in three days I reached out for a follow-up job of leaf blowing the property. David fit us in last-minute to meet the deadline which I very much appreciated.
Description of Work: The earth for our sodded lawn, installed by our contractor after a renovation, was not prepared properly and as a result began dying off over the summer. David Obeid from Potomac Lawn Professionals suggested a solution of mowing, de-thatching, putting down compost, aerating, fertilizing and re-seeding. We decided to do this process in the fall, and then repeat in the spring. We also needed to have a diverting pipe from the gutter installed to avoid water run off near the foundation.

+ -1 morePLP did an excellent job, continuing to work through an early spring snow storm. The only problem I have had is that a young employee accidentally cut the base of the clematis vine growing against my shed. It should grow back next year. They were very apologetic.

+ 2 morePotomac showed up when they said they would. Granted, this turned out to be multiple times, but that was 100% due to the downpours turning my yard in an unworkable mud slide. They were quick to come back when it was safe. Work was performed exactly as discussed and documented in the estimate, and done very well. I was especially impressed with the clean up after each of the jobs, especially the limb/bush work. They were also willing to add a few things to the job on the fly, again as a reasonable price. (Price not included in review b/c of the large differences b/t the 2 jobs)
Description of Work: Remove tree limbs and a couple of overgrown bushes. Also repair my front mulch beds that had been over-mulched by the previous owner; this included removing all the old mulch and debris, building up with new top soil, edging, and re-mulching.
