David Obeid, the owner of the company, responded quickly to my request for an estimate, came out when he said he would, and got back to me quickly with what I considered to be a reasonable price. He promptly scheduled the work and then walked the property with his crew the day they started to explain in detail everything that needed to be done, remembering to include certain concerns I'd mentioned (like not disturbing my daffodil bulbs). The crew was outstanding, took note of everything I wanted done, and proceeded to do it quickly and expertly. They completely dug out 3 bushes and pruned several others, weeded, removed all the invasive vines, removed several large suckers from 2 trees, clipped low hanging branches from one tree, and removed dead wood from another tree. David also gave me some good advice when I asked him for suggestions for future landscaping. He has been very responsive all along, and the work was scheduled and accomplished much more quickly than I'd expected. I highly recommend David and Potomac Lawn and look forward to working with him on future projects!

Do not use these guys for any work. Stay away. I had a tree planted for a whopping $650.00 and was told that the tree has a 1 year warranty. We followed all of the instructions provided but the tree died after 7 months. I called the owner of the company and he came by during the day when nobody was at home to inspect. He called me later that day and said that we over watered the tree and it was our fault the tree died, among other reasons. He insisted that there was a warranty but apparently the terms of the warranty changes at their convenience. He refused to refund as any money and we had to pay another landscaper to get another tree. This is a very dishonest company. If you decide to get any job done with them, for your own protection, get the warranty in writing so that if an unfortunate event does occur you can take them to court.

They were blowing leaves for my neighbor into my yard Wednesday Nov 8 about 10AM. My yard is clearly marked with stakes and they know it. When I went out to stop them they barely looked at me and started to blow away from my yard toward the pond. The pond is county property and blowing in leaves and debris is prohibited - it provides drainage, has a dam and it may adversely affect it. I didn't see them actually get them to the pond but will watch closely next time. Also, this isn't the first time - this summer they put a stack of tree limbs just over my border. I called your office yesterday morning but failed to get any response.

These guys are seriously WONDERFUL! David and his team are super responsive and helpful. They got back to me immediately and put us on their schedule right away, even with it being their busy season. I have had a few experiences with other companies in the area but these guys are by far the best and know what they are doing. Their name doesn't lie, they are extremely professional. I will continue to be using their services. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

the young man did a great job prepping before overseeding and then covered with top soil to give the seed the best chance of success. the seed came in great, particularly in the shady backyard when he used special shady seed.

Poor communication, delay in services and difficulty in scheduling. Very little seed distributed.

it went well, except that the dates changed once or twice and the heavy demand for their Angie's- originated service created a backlog in both service and communication. They did a very good job once they got here, but I wish they had stayed in touch, because I told them I wanted to discuss a service contract with them. I suspect that they are victims of their own success!

This turned out really well. They were on time, professional and answered all of my questions.

They showed up late in the day on the day they were supposed to arrive, but made it in time to perform the service. Lawn is looking better since they came; it's growing well.

I purchased the big deal for this service and due to extended periods of rain the service was delayed for a few weeks. When they did come they were efficient, professional and friendly. A couple of weeks later I noticed some bare patches where it appeared they either missed or heavy rains displaced the seed. When I notifed them they agreed to come back and reseed the areas that were bare. I appreciated their quick response. My lawn needs more attention and I am currently waiting to discuss hiring this group on an ongoing basis for lawn care and maintenance.

It went well. Lawn has thicker grass. It looks good. We really liked this fellow.

Everything was scheduled online. They came when we were not home. It was not necessary to be present, no waiting around! The task was completed and the lawn looked great.

Very well. Weather did not cooperate but he kept us informed about delays and rescheduled appointments.

There were "add-ons" to the special, but I was told in advance what the options were.

They said I was out of their service area.

We had a couple of delays due to rain which is understandable. David contacted us by email each time. He lets us know when it was rescheduled and contacted us the day before with the time. They did the job quickly and efficiently with no problems. We would use them again.

Two young (high school/college age) men came in the middle of a rainstorm and aerated and seeded our lawn. While they went back and forth on the property a few times, they did miss a few spots (hence, the B rating). Then again, they were professional and even stopped to chat about the service in the middle of the downpour.

we had scheduled them to come and aerate and overseed our lawn. the original scheduled date had to be rescheduled because of a big rainstorm. it took awhile to get them to reschedule, but they came on the rescheduled date and did it very quickly, and when my wife asked them ot add fertilizer too they did that too. We purtchased a Big Deal, which was for 5,000 ft2, and we have much more than 5,000 ft2, so we had to pay for everything over 5,000 ft2, but it still ended up being a pretty good deal.

The company was to provide a lawn aeration and overseeding service. It eventually did exactly that but the company had to cancel for the first two scheduled dates of delivery. The company felt very badly about the cancellations, and offered me an additional discount because of the situation. However, I needed to get a refund from Angies List first, in order to get the additional refund from the vendor. Overall, I am very satisfied with the service of both the vendor and Angie's List.

It didn't. Ordered service, provider postponed service and rescheduled for 1 May. Advised provider that we needed to be present when he showed up, provider could not provide a timeframe. Took the day off from work and provider never showed up. I called and he said he had too much work and would have to reschedule again. I told him that was unacceptable and who to contact to get a refund. He said to contact Angie's list.

I purchased "the deal" online per the information. there was a field requesting the preferred service date as long as it was at least 2 days in advance. I requested some dates the following week. we then emailed each other - I mentioned that some areas were in low lying spots that retained water and needed time to dry out after rain. I mentioned that some areas were in shade and some in sun. "My yard has some low lying areas that remain particularly wet - and slopes in other areas." After several delays - the work was scheduled for Tues Apr 22 ( the email included 9 addresses) - I was puzzled no work was done - I then received the following email - From: Potomac Lawn Pros [mailto:potomaclawnpros@gmail.com] Sent: Tuesday, April 22, 2014 8:02 PM To: Subject: Re: Aerating & Overseeding Work Date Hi M, We came to the property today and I did not know you had a huge hill, our aerator probably won't be able service that for risk of flipping over. Sorry for the inconvenience. Thanks I would not want anyone to do something unsafe - but others have done this work before - and the yard also has areas that are quite flat- such as the front - so at least some work could have been done. Additionally three phone numbers were provided - and no attempt was made to call. And so after a long wait - I am back at the beginning.

No show. Would recommend if Angie's list offers such service that there be a time limit for provider to provide service.

We purchased a deal for lawn aeration and overseeding. Due to the type of grass we have, the provided suggested against having the work done. They could have done the work, and just collected the money- their honesty was appreciated.
