Pius came on short notice, which I appreciated. Within five minutes of being in the house, he diagnosed the problem as the kit that starts the compressor. He told me that in 99% of cases, the compressor is not compromised, but if it was, he would remove the kit he put in and not charge me for the repair. At first, the compressor started up after he had done his repair, but the next day it wasn't working. Pius came back out and realized that the compressor was compromised. True to his word, he did not charge me for the repair and took only his $95 fee for the visit. I do not know if that is a high cost. If it is, I don't mind. I found him to be knowledgeable, professional, and committed to doing the job right. I would definitely call him again if I have any appliance problems.

My oven stopped working on Friday evening. I called two repair companies and the earliest repair date I could get was one and two weeks out. I use my oven six days a week, so I need something sooner. I called Peaco Appliance Service and spoke with Mr. Okafor Pius. He gave me a preliminary diagnosis before he arrived the next day. Mr. Pius was very knowledgeable, professional and pleasant. I will definitely use this company again without hesitation.

Even though our refrigerator is still under factory warranty and LG has been telling us a servicemen will contact us (it's been 4 weeks and no calls...), we wanted to get it fixed even if it cost us up to $500 out of pocket. From our first contact to the end of the appointment, Mr. Pius showed us true professionalism. His knowledge allowed us to trust him from the start. While on the phone, he asked us to plug the power back to the refrigerator so he could hear the system functioning. He heard the noise and gave his pre-diagnosis, but we still wanted to schedule an in-person visit. To our surprise, Mr. Pius came on the same day! He was courteous, arrived within the 3 hour time frame and gave us his honest opinion: "it's not worth to repair it, even though your refrigerator is 3 years old." From his experience with our problem, he made suggestions, recommendations for a replacement and went beyond our expectations when he explained in details why we should never buy a 4k french door refrigerator with 2 drawers; because the sealed cooling system always fails within 3-5 years, it's a hassle to get it repaired under warranty and the warranty after the repairs is only 90 days. We are extremely happy with his suggestions. We will always use and refer Peaco to our friends and family.

Oven was heating too slowly and emitted a gas smell

Communication disaster and 3x the cost! I was having trouble finding someone to repair my refrigerator on short notice so I was happy that Pius said he services Montgomery County. I told him my refrigerator was no longer staying cold and asked his availability. He said he could come up that afternoon. I waited for him to continue, but he didn't say anything. So I then asked him what time, and he jumped on me for daring to ask him the time when we had not yet talked about the refrigerator or the cost. [So that was the first oddity - he kept pausing in the conversation, so I had to keep it going, and then he gets upset that I don't go in the direction he wants.] He then asks me a number of questions about the refrigerator and diagnoses that it's a defrost control problem. He tells me about 4 things he has to replace and says that the cost will be precisely $675. He tells me I must turn off the refrigerator immediately so that the parts can warm up before he gets there. I had to work on that, so we hung up. After a while, I called him back and said I couldn't figure out how to turn it off, and could I send him a picture of the control panel so he could tell me how to turn it off. He said "it depends what number you called." I was confused. I asked him what phone number he would like me to text the picture to. He refuses to answer and insists that I must tell him what number I called. So I told him the phone number I called, and he says that it's a landline and I cannot text the photo there. I wait for him to continue, but he says nothing. So again, I asked if he'd like to give me a different phone number that I can text the picture to. So then he gives me the cell phone number. [Talk about going in circles! I'm really thinking this is a hard guy to communicate with, but it's OK if he fixes my refrigerator today.] While on the phone with him, I figure out how to pull out my refrigerator and I was able to simply unplug it. Then he tells me that he will come between 7-10 pm (whereas earlier, he said he could come in the afternoon). He tells me that he will call me before coming to confirm, and I must pick up the phone because if I don't pick up, he'll go on to the next person. I said that I'd try, but if I was in the bathroom or something, couldn't he leave a voicemail, and I'd call right back? He said no, that's not the way it works, he's telling me now he'll call between 7 and 10 pm, and I have to pick up right at that time, otherwise no service. [Now I'm thinking, wow, this guy really is difficult, but I still said OK.] Well, an hour or so later, another company I had called called me back and said he could come out early afternoon. I asked the cost, and he said it'd be between $150 and $300 depending on what parts he had to replace. I said done! That guy came out as promised, fixed the refrigerator, and I paid him a total of $230. That compared to Pius's quote of $675!!! A bit after my refrigerator was repaired (mid-afternoon), Pius called and left me a voicemail (not saying anything except to call him back). I called him back, and just waited to see what he would say. Absolute silence. So I told him I already got someone to come out and he didn't need to come tonight. [Again, though, weird! He's the one who left me the voicemail. He should tell me why he called, especially since it was so much earlier than he said he would call!] So overall, maybe it was just me - you decide - but I found him exceedingly difficult to communicate with, rather unpleasant, and inflexible. To top that off, he was going to charge me 3x what I actually paid to the company that actually fixed my refrigerator. I have trouble understanding why he has so many good online reviews. Maybe he was having a bad day.

Pius was here for 20 minute replaced the plastic tubing and charge us $495 for a 20 minute fix. When I spoke up about the ridiculous price he charged us. Pius became very boisterous and would not acknowledge My concerns. Pius did not follow PPE requirements that we mandated he follow. I would not recommend this person for any work you may have to be done. Pius is a rip-off and shows poor customer service to those who has taken advantage of.

Pius, the company owner, was fantastic.! He came, and an hour later the refrigerator was working again. He was extremely pleasant, professional, efficient, and as far as I am concerned a miracle worker!

Pius was the first to respond to the inquiry I put out on Angie's List, set up an appointment quickly, and was very friendly, informative, and professional. He was able to locate a new circuit board on a Saturday and came back to install it that day, preventing us from losing all the food inside by getting it back up and running in time. He even cleaned up the floor where the dirt had collected beneath, since it hadn't been moved in quite a while! I'd definitely recommend him to anyone who needed his services.

Very happy I used Peaco Appliance to fix my Samsung dryer. Originally our dryer started overheating and flashing a "HE" symbol and shutting off. After a week it had stopped putting out any heat. Pius came out and told me what he thought it would cost, but also told me what a new dryer would cost. I decided to go with the repair and after replacing the wiring and thermostat, he realized there was another issue, and had to order the parts. He came back a few days later as promised, and at no additional charge, and fixed the last issue. He called ahead, showed up when he said he would, and was quick to diagnose and fix the problem. I would recommend his work for dryers, and should any other appliance need work at my home, I will be calling Peaco again.

Pius, arrived at the stated time. Completely checked the dishwasher components, conducted tests and the dishwasher is now in good working order. Very nice knowledgeable, great to work with. Given his information a number of friends.

We had an extremely pleasant experience with Pius, the owner of Peaco Appliance Company, Falls, Church, VA. He assisted us in diagnosing our problem, was knowledgeable, professional, prompt in returning our calls, and most of all honest throughout the process. His business was established in 1984. We highly recommend Peaco Appliance and have shared our positive experience with each of our neighbors.

Pius did a fantastic job. He re-balanced the the washer in about 1/2 an hour. He has been servicing the washer and dryer for the past 5 years. And not to mislead. He has only visited twice in that 5 year time. He is also very knowledgeable, polite, and approachable.

It went well. Mr. Pius arrived and checked out the cause of the problem. He found the problem, explained to me what was needed, and ordered a replacement part. When the part arrived, he returned and installed it. I would like to thank Pius for the use of a loaner microwave during this time.

Pius came to check dishwasher. Just for the visit he charged $95, which seemed hefty. He did come quickly though, so that was good. He found that the dishwasher was not draining and needed a new pump. But his price for fixing the dishwasher was $595 and if he reworked the hose installation so it didn't happen again $790. He recommended to buy a new dishwasher, GE, which he happened to sell for $1,200. Pius seemed more interested in selling a new dishwasher than repairing. I found his customer service irking and decided to call another provider (DMV) I found in Angie's list. They were great! The total cost of repair and re installation was $289, including their first visit. I will not call PEACO again and don't recommend them for dishwasher repairs.

Plus the owner arrived on time, evaluated the broken dryer, told me how much it would cost to fix the dryer and proceeded to fix it. He explained how the problem was caused and provided a 1 year warranty.

Our fridge stopped working Saturday AM and we are having a big party Monday afternoon. Needless to say fixing the fridge ASAP was a top priority. I called Peaco and I spoke to Pius, explained the urgency and he advised that he would be able to come that same day and look at the fridge. Not only did Pius come and fix the fridge that same day, he worked until almost midnight to ensure it was done. That should tell you all you need to know about this company. We are customers for life. Thank you Pius.

Pius diagnosed the problem very quickly. It was late and so he came back Sunday morning at about 8am. He is very polite and responsible, dealing with the problem efficiently. I recommend Pius without reservation. He is an absolute winner and a very nice person.

Just wanted to say Mr. Okafor contacted me right away. Asked me if my dryer was electric or gas and on the same day came out to fix my dryer issues. In 5 mins he told me what the issue was and fixed both problems and explained in detail what he had to do. He was very flexible on availability to come out for an evaluation. I did not go through with the evaluation because I thought the diagnostic cost was high ($95) and because he said he did not accept credit cards. I may have given a try otherwise.

I cannot say enough good about Pius, who is the proprietor as well and the technician. He came immediately upon request, quickly diagnosed the problem, and presented me options and explained the risk that the project might still be unsuccessful. When the needed part was no longer available, he rewired the broken part himself. We then learned that the compressor was broken and that the repair was no longer worth it. All this was done over a weekend, and he didn't jack up his price because of that. When we gave up, I asked him what I owed him for his time over and above his initial first-evaluation fee, and he said to pay him whatever seemed fair. AND, if we had been able to order the part and there had been a delay, he was going to lend ne a temporary fridge at no cost to me! He is smart, prompt, creative, fair and honest. I will never call anyone but him for appliance repair.
