Showed up on time. Called when he was on the way. Diagnosed problem with dishwasher as being caused by low water pressure and advised that the plumbing situation needed to be checked on. Could not do the plumbing work that was needed so he left in about ten minutes. Charged nothing!

Pius was great. He showed up the same day (Friday). The motor needed a part which came in late on Monday and he came out Monday night to install it. We have 5 people here so the laundry was really piling up. Was awesome he came so late on Monday night instead of having us wait until Tuesday. Nice guy, very pleasant and really seems to know his stuff. I'm keeping his number, that's for sure!

We have used Peaco Appliance Service a few times over the past couple of years and have been very satisfied with Pius' prompt service, honesty and great work. During this visit Pius assessed the situation with out dryer and gave us a couple of recommendations as we could not replicate the problem during his visit. Although Pius did have to charge us for the service call he said that he'd waive the charge should he have to return to address any similar problems with the dryer. So for (knock on wood) the dryer seems to be functioning okay after operating it based on Pius' recommendations.

I explained what I needed. We discussed various options, and he picked an Amana dryer, a brand I had never used before. It's just wonderful. It dries my clothes faster than the washer can wash them. But after he left, I had a problem. It worked so well and looked so nice, I wanted a new washer to go with it (I had been making excuses for my crummy old W/D far too long). Pius discussed top-loading options with me over the phone. I wanted a spiffy state of the art LG, but when he delivered it, I could not reach the bottom. Pius graciously came back with an Amana that matches my dryer. I can reach the bottom!!!! I could not be happier. The washer spin cycle is so good, the clothes are barely wet when I take them out, which means the dryer works much faster. I ran 7 loads yesterday without much effort. I couldn't believe how fast it went. How easy is that? I asked someone I didn't know to buy something very expensive for me sight unseen, and he delivered far better than I could have ever expected. Pius is a top-notch professional, and he knows his stuff. He knew what to ask me and he really listened to what I was saying. No sales pitch. Just good, honest representation of his services and the product he delivered. He wanted me to be happy with what I bought, and I am that and more. His delightfully positive manner made him a joy to have in my home. I wholeheartedly recommend him.

Pius came to the house 3 times. The first time was to diagnose the problem, came back the 2nd time after the first part was ordered to install it, and came back a 3rd time to install another part. I must say though, the process went VERY quickly. It was not more than a week before the issue was resolved. Prior to calling Peaco Appliance, we had used another company, Residential Appliance to come and fix the dryer. BIG MISTAKE. I had been trying to deal with Residential for over a month when I decided they were not worth my time, money, or frustration. Please see my separate review for Residential Appliance.

I called Peaco because my clothes washing machine had stopped working. They told me they could come that day, but I was not able to be home so they came the next day. The technician showed up in the 3 hour window. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and made the repair. Because they had asked me for a make and model number, he had the necessary parts with him which is not always the case. THe technician was very polite and tidy. I can highly recommend them, great service and a job well done.

We'd changed the filter on our slow running water dispenser; now it was barely providing drops. Pius determined the problem and returned the next day with a new part. The refrigertator is working better than when we got it!

Leading up to my experience with Peaco, I had, had a horrible time trying to get my dishwasher fixed. But I called Peaco and they came out pretty quickly. The tech said that my dishwasher would cost more to fix, than to repair. So I purchased a new dishwasher from them and it has worked fine ever since.

Our stove started beeping and the oven (electric) would no longer function. Pius came the next day to look at the stove, and had to order the part. He was very prompt and called to update us on when the part would be delivered and could be installed. He came on a Friday evening to install the part because we were not available the next day. He was very quick and efficient, and we felt he was reliable.

In the morning discovered that my refrigerator/freezer was not cooling. Called Pius at Peaco based on the reviews on Angie's List. He answered and readily agreed to come that evening to accomodate my work schedule. He arrived within the three hour time window he gave. He replaced the capacitor in hopes that that would solve the problem rather than the replacing the much more expensive compressor. It worked. As an Angie's List member there was a 5% discount and one year parts and labor guarantee...would normally be three months. He said that if I need to replace the compressor in the next year, the $325 paid for the first repair would be deducted from the $895 cost of replacing the compressor.

Called on a Monday, hoping to get a service call on Tuesday. Earliest available was Saturday. I can understand why this man stays booked up with repeat customers. He is good. Upon arrival, he diagnosed the problem and gave me an estimated cost and then went to work. Didn't rush. Was careful. Kept me informed. Put everything back in order. Ensured the dishwasher worked properly. Cleaned up the area well.

On Sunday, the 30th of December, the hose came loose from my washing machine while it was running. Water started pouring everywhere. Although I had never used Peaco Appliance before, I called them because of the A rating on the list. It was a Sunday over the holidays, and I was in a panic. Not only did Pius, the owner, answer the phone right away, but he came to my home within the hour. He drove from his job in Virginia to me in Maryland even though his next job was back in Virginia. He reattached the hose and reminded me of the 5% discount I qualified for by using Angies list. I highly recommend Peaco Appliance. He told me he has been doing this for 30 years. He was prompt, reliable, responsible, honest, friendly and professional.

Called on Thursday, came on time on Saturday, ultimate fix for the issue was too expensive, so left the fan slightly better and I paid the service fee. Would have liked more options/creativity in fixing the issue, but they did a competent job and were professional.

My Kenmore dryer was not heating up to dry the clotnes, so on October 4, 2012 I called Peaco Repair servece and arranged for some one to come and repair the dryer. At the time the dryer vent was intact and it was connedted at one end to the machine and at the other end to the window. Pius came to our house, fixed the dryer so that it produced heat and failed to reconnect the vent hose. The dryer was venting hot humid air into the house. The charge for this service was $250.00, $95.00 of which was a "service charge." I arrived home from work, assessed the situation and called Pius to inquire as to why he didn't complete the job. He told me he had fixed the dryer. My 76 year old husband tried to reconnect the hose but couldn't - he is suffering from the effects of radiation therapy from cancer treatment. I couldn't reattach it either, I called Peaco again, spoke with Pius and arranged for him to come over and replace the hose. He said it would be $135.00 , and gavae me a 10% senior citizen discount. But he failed to mention that $95.00 of that would be another service charge for a second visit. I was adamant that he come to the house when I was home. Nevertheless,he showed up in the afternoon, while I was at work, fixed the hose and stuffed the old hose, sharp edges and all, in the trash can in the laundry room of my house. I called and complained and he apologized and said he would come over and remove the old pipe. Fearful that he would charge me yet another $95.00 service charge, I refused his offer. AT this rate, I should have just bought a new dryer. Pius should know thaqt in Falss Church Virginia we are charged for excessive waste and recycling disposal. In short, I ended up paying $385.00 and having 2 visits with 2 service charges of $95.00 each and a lot of aggravation from Piius as he cheekily argued semantics with me about our prior phone consersations. Mr. Pius may do good work, but he requires careful supervision because he is tricky with words and argues semantics when he is called on to justify his lack of professional behavior. I have had tree pruners clean up better than him . Although Peaco Appliance Service is very close to my home, I willnever call upon this company to do any type of appliance repair in my home. I do not recommend this company to anyone.

FABULOUS service! My refrigerator went out. I called, and they offered to come out right away (it was evening, past their closing hours). I told them morning would be fine. They got to my home first thing, called to let me know they were on the way. Mr. Puis was a great technician! He found the problem right away (electronic-- always is these days, with all these computer-operated appliances). He was able to repair the problem without replacing the part, which was great, and a lot less expensive, and said that if it happened again and a new part was needed, he'd apply the cost of the repair towards the part. It's been operating just great since he made the repairs, and I will call him back for any and all appliance work I need done, save items I own that are covered by extended warranties. And as soon as thoise warranties have expired, Peaco's wil get that business from me, too!

Mr. Pius was punctual, professional & friendly. He went straight to find out the cause of the problem. I only provided a little information about the problem & he only took a little time to check out my washer & know what the problem was.

The repairman took out the oven to examine it, then determined it needed a $400 repair. He said if I wanted to go ahead with the repair, to let him know. He also mentioned replacing the oven with a new oven. In any case, he said he would give me $100 credit toward the work. I decided to get a new oven. I then called Peaco to schedule installation of the oven. The repairman said I was supposed to tell him if I wanted to get a new oven, then he would order one and then install it. But because I did not order the new oven through him, he would not do the work. He never mentioned that I was supposed to order the oven through him. On top of that, he was rude.

I called them on a Saturday afternoon around 1:45pm. They were here around 5:00pm that same day. Our service man was very efficient and polite. Very good experience!

He will ever more be known as Saint Pius in our household! Despite the fact it was July 3rd, and I had just called in the morning, he was at my door within a few hours. He was friendly, courteous, and let me know each step of the way what he was doing. He did everything with a smile, despite the 90+ degree heat (our AC was also out due to the storm). He also showed me how to clean the fliter on the compressor fan to improve air flow. He not only honored the 5% discount coupon I was entitled to through Angie's List, but also gave me an additional discount as it was a large repair job. We will absolutely call him again for other appliance repairs.

Pius is a very nice, very professional individual. Unfortunately, he completely misdiagnosed my problem. I have an LG Washing Machine. It was not working properly so I called Pius based on the wonderful reviews he has received on Angie's List. Perhaps it is because he isn't a certified LG repairman, but he told me three parts had to be replaced and the cost would be close to the original cost of the machine. I got a second opinion from an LG-certified repairman and was able to fix the machine at zero cost just by cleaning a filter. Moral of the story: It pays to get a second opinion.

They were excellent. They were here within 30 minutes on a Saturday.

We have used Pius at least four times over the last five years. He has always been prompt, courteous, professional and knowledgable. We highly recommend him.
