The lawn always looks good and healthy when he is done.

I started using them this year. They come out 4 times a month. They charge monthly and I can stop the service anytime I want. They could go a little cheaper I think. I will continue to use them.

Very good job, they work very quickly with minimal noise. Always polite.

For over 25 years the company has maintained this lawn for our homeowners' association. The service has been exemplary--reliable, with courteous employees who strive to please their customers.

Paul's Best Lawn Service has been doing a great job for us. We bought a second house, and unfortunately it is out of their service area. I wish we could hire them for our second house too. We have not been able to find anyone else that does as good a job as they do, and the last time we had anyone else mow or clean up as well as they do was about 15 years ago. Their prices for mowing are pretty good, and they do not tear up our yard with their equipment. Their maintenance department has been first-rate and very professional. I recommend them highly for lawn maintenance.

The crews that Paul's sends our are so meticulous - for the lawn, shrubs, leaf removal, and snow removal. And they are incredibly nice, polite, and professional.

They are fantastic! Any problems that I have in my yard, they fix it for me. I have them in my speed dial and in my bookmarks in my computer. Spring clean up, fall clean up, mulch - they're my go to people. I have a checklist for what I want done, and if I forget something all I have to do is call and they take care of all my needs. The woman in charge of accounting, Grace, is just wonderful. Moe is also terrific.

Mo and Laura are great! Mo knew exactly what needed to be done on the mulching and weeding and made recommendations on what type of mulch to use. Laura, the landscape designer, quickly figured out that I wanted some plants removed and knew what to replace it with. Everyone came on time and worked continually. Great experience! I have a large area to be weeded and mulched and had gotten estimates from other companies. Paul's was the best value for the money.

Great lawn mowers. I've used them for two years and they do a great job. Only complaint is this year they've come a few times around 6:45 am to start mowing, which seems a bit too early.

When I heard that my current mowing service was ceasing operations without warning due to the owner's illness, I reached out to several local companies using the email form provided by Angie's List. It turns out that the form does not work very well because I provided an alternate contact number that, apparently, did not get sent to the recipient. Paul's Best Lawn Service, unlike the 3 other companies to whom I sent my request (Wheat's Landscape, Merrifield Garden Center and RT Turf), Mo from Paul's Best responded with an email over the weekend asking me to provide the missing phone number so he could reach me. On Monday afternoon I got a call from Mo offering to stop by and see the lawn so he could provide me with a price. He was very pleasant to talk to even after I told him that I would not need a quote. Earlier that same day I talked to the foreman for the service I used to use and found out he was now on his own and offered to continue to take care of our lawn with his own crew, so I decided to go with him. If I am again looking for lawn care services, I will definitely call Mo at Paul's Best. He made the extra effort to contact me even when things did not go as expected and I think that kind of thing says a lot about the responsivness I could expect of them and the effort they would put into taking care of my lawn.

They're always on time, prompt, and they try to come on same day. There is always someone available to talk with if I need them.

Paul?s Best Lawn Service did a superb job helping us figure out how to plant a series of large trees to create a privacy screen in our backyard with very little space to work with. Mo and his team from Paul?s Best came out; gave us suggestions on what trees to put in; gave us an estimate for the work; recommended excellent tree firms to advise as to whether a large tree needed to be trimmed (to allow for the new trees) and whether a large root from that tree could be cut (for the same reason); transplanted existing plants and cut a narrow section of the driveway to allow for the new trees; tracked down the trees we wanted from a nursery we preferred; and then installed everything very professionally. All in all, we got great advice and excellent service. We recommend them enthusiatically.

They were pretty responsive. I got a response by e-mail a week after my inquiry through their website. I asked for the work to be done by the end of October. They showed up on a Monday morning. I like that they can send invoices by e-mail and that you can pay online. I''m also currently at their periodic contract which is laid out neatly with details on every service. I've been trying to find a decent lawn company in the area, but it hasn't been that easy. Other companies haven't been responsive at all, so Paul is at the top of my list so far.

Prompt and courteous, excellent workmanship and a good value.

The team arrived at 0730 and worked until about 1500. They did an excellent job and the yard looks great.

I started using them because somebody that we knew in the area was using them. I spend $130 a month and they come every week. They do a good job. They are a little slow about their billing service as their office doesn't send me the bills in a timely manner. They don't send a bill for 2 months sometimes which is kind of frustrating.

They were very responsive via email and their customer service was good.

This is THE BEST lawn service in this area that I have worked with, and I have worked with several both large and small companies over the past 17 years of living in Vienna. Paul's is incredibly responsive, their work is top-notch, and everyone in their organization, from estimates to billing, seems to be both smart and helpful. I have *a lot* of flower beds in my yard, and I really like to have some help with weeding. Most companies are not willing to do this, unless they are already going to be at your house to mow the lawn, but I did not need a mowing contract, because the kids across the street mow my lawn. Paul's came to my house every 2 weeks to weed and edge the beds, with no problem. The teams that came to my house were professional and worked really hard. All of my neighbors were impressed! My yard has never looked better. Another problem I've had in the past, is wondering when the yard work will be done. Some lawn services can let the yard get pretty overgrown before they show up. This happens with pruning especially. Not a problem with Paul's. One call to the office to let them know that I needed the pruning done, and the guys were at my house the next day. I think their prices are fair, and certainly in line with others. No issues there. Billing is very clear and I love the fact that I can see an itemized bill and pay it online. I also liked paying for the services as they were performed. Other companies force you into a monthly payment, which always leaves me wondering if all the work I originally requested got done.

They were great. We liked them a lot. They seemed very knowledgeable of the landscaping. They came when they said they would. I thought they were a good company.

Was not at home for the job. But after meeting with Moe twice to finalize the job estimate and tree placement the work was completed in one day and looked great.

Surprised and disappointed that this company seemed disinterested in providing service. We live in an upscale neighborhood, $700K+ homes.

I called asking for an estimate. It was completed, emailed to me, and the work scheduled within a few days. They showed up on time. I walked around the property with some dude, forget his name. I explained different details; ie: be carful of the this area because it's full of bamboo stumps, etc. I asked him about a certain patch of grass and if he new what it was. He said, "actually, I'm pretty sure there's nothing here that is actual grass". I thought that was pretty funny. My lawn is always with quotes... My "lawn". At least it's green. Everything was just a mess. The front hadn't been mowed in 6 weeks, July/August. The back was weed-whacked in late June and prior - August 2010. The side of the house was completely over grown with a various assortment of vines. Again - freaking mess. I really thought they were going to take a weed-whacker to everything. But at 7:30 am I walked out to my kitchen and there were guys laying in the weed-bed digging out weeds. I thought to myself, oh they don't need to do that, they can just use a weed-whacker. But I left them alone. They dug up everything! I'm new at this living in the suburbs thing and thought, aha that's how you do that! I was very happy. Paid by the hour and they worked exactly what the estimate said - 8 hours for 3 guys. They slowed down just a little bit after lunch - but really, they started at 7:30, worked there butts off and now it's after lunch. It was all good. I received an invoice a few days later in the mail and with an option to pay on-line. I like that part. Overall very good experience. Will use them for Spring and Fall cleanup in the future.

Paul’s Best was prompt in scheduling an estimate and arrived on time to look at my property. However, from the estimate they provided I wonder why they would need to look at the property at all. Except for mowing, it consisted of prices per man-hour, not of actual estimates of how much the work on my property would cost. I could have gotten that information over the phone. I called to see if I could get a more useful estimate, but apparently the way to find out how much it would cost is either to have the work done and find out how many hours it took or have an estimate done just before each work is done (leaf removal or cleanup or weeding, etc.) and then decide whether to have it done or not. I have gone through choosing a yard service company before, in 2003, and was able to get estimates of actual costs from the companies I contacted then. I have not definitely ruled them out but they are not at the top of the list.

I asked for and scheduled an estimate. They said they would go out and take a look in the time frame I needed. Despite calls and emails, I never received a response back. I don't even know if they ever went to the property to look. They didn't know I pulled their name from Angie's List so don't know if they would have tried harder knowing that.
