A 3 man team cleared weeds and leaves, edged the lawns and garden paths, and applied mulch. They left our property looking great and ready for winter.

Ultimately, I went in a different direction (added additional work that another company suggested which transpired when I was explaining the project on-site), but I was impressed with the professionalism and prompt response by Sam. Not only did I receive the estimate (competitively priced with others who do the same type of work) in a timely manner, there was also a courteous (and non-pushy!) follow-up as well.

Outstanding! Great experience. Crew was professional, competent and very hard working. Yard was meticulously cleaned up.

The response was not as punctual as I would have liked though it wasn't time critical and the estimate I received, while believing it was for a year, was actually pro-rated. I thought it was high and even more so once I found out it was not for a full year. That all being said, they were very professional and as evidenced by my neighbors's yard, they appear do a very good job. I would like to use them, but may be out of my price range.

Overall, they did a good job ... their crews vary a lot so it depends on who you get. Last season's crew was excellent - and this season's crew was average. They do good work at a very competitive price for seasonal clean ups and mulching and would recommend.

We used them for years but they jumped significantly in price. They said it was due to a lawn disease prevention program.

They are very nice. They clean out the yard and blow the leaves off the deck. I have not had a problem with them. They are very reliable. They are always on time. They do what they say they are going to do.

Spoke with the company about mowing my yard on a weekly basis, and signed a contract relatively quickly. I asked about matching a competitor's price that came in 20% lower, and they said no (which was fine -- that's their right). They came and mowed the yard for the first time, but scalped the grass in places. They also charged me for bagging the grass, but didn't do it. I e-mailed them about the damage to my lawn (and provided pictures), and to my surprise, they terminated my contract immediately without offering to fix the dirt patches. I've never written a bad review on Angie's List, but i would definitely not recommend them. Found them to be downright hostile and aggressive. Glad that I didn't go with the replenishment service (was planning on signing that contract this week)!

We have a large lawn and wanted an environmentally friendly lawn service to improve it. We had previously done some remodeling and the yard was in bad shape afterwards. Up front, they told us it would take about two years on the environmental program to get the lawn looking decent. That turned out to be a good estimate. Our lawn looks good. If we noticed a problem area or felt they had timed their seeding or aerating wrong, we called them and they would come back out and generally go the extra step to get the lawn looking good. They are a small local business which is also something we wanted to support. The downside is that it can be hard to find someone in the office and you also never know ahead of time when they are coming that month to perform whatever service is due that month. But they return your call and answer your email within a day or two. We also had them clean the gutters of our house, and they did a good job with a price equivalent to competitors.

A property I manage was billed by Paul?s Best Lawn Service, Falls Church, Virginia for work the property owner and I believe was not done. I began questioning the validity of Paul's Best invoices in July 2015. At the end of June the tenant vacated the property and it remained vacant until the owner returned on October 9. The lawn at the vacant property was not being watered, our region was suffering a significant drought yet Paul?s Best was sending invoices and statements for lawn mowing, clean-up and debris hauling. On August 5 Paul?s Best billed 3 mowings, 1 general clean-up and debris hauling all allegedly done in drought stricken July totaling $417.50. September 10 billing was $200.00 alleging 5 mowings, 1 in July and 4 in August and the region still in drought conditions. October 5 their invoice billing came in at $368.50 for 5 mowings, 1 general clean-up and debris hauling all of which were allegedly done in September. November 5 billing at $288.00 was 4 mowings and 1 clean-up supposedly done in October. In September the region remained in drought conditions until the last alleged mowing on September 29. September 29 is memorable because it is the day the long drought broke and it broke in a big way. The drought was broken by the arrival of rain from Hurricane Joaquin. It started that Tuesday and was continuous for about a week. At times during the period rain was downpour and Paul?s Best crew claims they mowed the lawn at the property on September 29 recorded on their invoice. September 21 major home improvement projects began at the property that continued through October 31. I have statements from the Project Manager at A&A Renovations and Owner of American Energy Masters saying their crew members did not see any lawn care service working at the property while they were on the property. The crews were there for full work days, approximately 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM each day of work performing interior and exterior work. It was on my mind to keep a lookout for Paul?s Best Lawn Service crew and/or evidence of lawn care work while doing oversight on the home improvement projects. Upon the owner's return to Virginia on October 9 he visited the property almost daily starting October 10 until he was able to move into the property at the end of the month. From September 21 through October 31 contractors' crews, owner and myself did not see any lawn service crew nor evidence of any lawn work done. The property owner sent me an email message on November 11 reading in part: "Thanks. Finally got the invoice. I also was at the house almost every day beginning 10 October and never saw a single grass clipping anywhere or evidence of any clean up. This evidence would not miraculously disappear in 24 hours or less and volume of leaf fall would not hide a cleanup in mid October. Now perhaps, but not then." On September 29, 2015, the date the drought broke, I was concerned about the predicted rain storm that would be heavy downpour at times pushing back home improvements projects target completion date. The rain was continuous lasting for about a week and downpours at times as predicted. Paul?s Best October 5 invoice claims mowing on September 29. American Energy Masters, Inc. crew worked that day and I visited the property in morning and afternoon. I wrote the owner a status report email at 1:47 PM that day which was the very moment Hurricane Joaquin's rain arrived lasting almost 1 week. Neither American Energy Masters, Inc. nor I saw any lawn service nor evidence of mowing at the property on September 29. Lastly Paul?s Best November 5 invoice alleges mowing on October 6 which was the day rain stopped. The ground was thoroughly saturated and very improbable to mow.

Our yard was quite overgrown with out-of-control English Ivy and Virginia Creeper, many saplings and overgrown wild roses. We requested a free estimate and received a response from David the same day. He explained that it was their busiest season and that they could come out to give us an estimate, but would not be able to schedule the work until late July or early August. That was perfectly fine with us and we appreciated their being upfront about the time frame. We scheduled the work and they arrived on time. The two gentlemen who did the work were professional, polite, asked questions and offered suggestions. There ended up being more debris to haul away than they had estimated; but even with that the total cost was $40 less that the estimate. We have received many compliments about the yard and the work that was done, from neighbors and others just passing by the house. We will definitely be using Paul's Best in the future.

Using the Angie's List recommendations, we requested an estimate for lawn care to begin immediately, since my husband's recent injury makes it impossible for him to continue mowing. Was contacted by email and told that the estimator was out of town for the entire week. Wrote back and asked for prompt response when the estimator returned. Nine days after the initial request, we received an email telling us that our house was not in their service area. We were so impressed with the good reviews that Paul's had been given on Angie's List, we were waiting patiently for their estimate. Very poor customer service. Especially since our lawn has not been mowed in almost a month.

I've been using them for years. I have a contract with them every year. They do every single thing you could do to a lawn. Plus, if I need them to do some trimming, that's extra. Usually, I pay upfront. If you pay upfront, you get a discount. It's not a large discount, but it makes a difference. We have a very time consuming yard. I pay them a little over $5,500 for the entire year. You don't have to pay them for a whole year. You can divide it up 12 months. They come every week. They did a special job for me in June because all our trees were overgrown and they just came and trimmed everything. They were here all day. They were here from morning till 6 o'clock. I think they might have come the next day to just finish up a little. They're so great. They come right away. If I have a special job, they always respond and they do it. This time I had to call them because they didn't charge me for the trimming. I think they overlooked it. So, I called them and then they realized it. I thought the trimming of everything was very reasonable.

I think they are a quality company and would recommend them to others.

They always do a wonderful, very professional job. Customer service is wonderful. They can handle many different landscaping issues.

I contacted the business through their website to request an estimate for mowing service, but they never responded.

We noticed during the summer after a good rain our gutters were overflowing. We suspected our drainage system (corrugated pipe, tied to the downspouts, going underground to some mysterious location in our yard) was blocked up. After talking to Mo Cifuente, Paul?s Best awesome estimator and problem solver, he agreed, and suggested we rerun new corrugated piping above ground to ensure it doesn't block up. This saved us from having to dig up the old piping and destroying our yard, as well as money. Me also suggested we add a drangie box for one area in our yard where water tends to pool after a good rain, which I never considered before. As always with Paul?s Best crew, things went smoothly. They showed up early in the morning when the work was scheduled to be done. It took half a day. They even showed us a piece of the old corrugated pipe, and it was indeed blocked with tons of mud. In the end, the new systems works beautifully with no more gutter overflow.

I have them on a yearly contract and they are doing a great job. This is our first year working with them. I had family coming in from out of town and gave them a lot to do within a week of them coming and they got it all done. They break their pricing down into three different parts, including mowing. There is an extra charge if they haul away the lawn debris or leave it. They also charge separate for the different kinds of seasonal lawn care. They were recommended very highly to me by a neighbor who has the most green and beautiful lawn. They are not the cheapest or most expensive, but they probably are up there so I don't know if I will continue to always use them. I have little things to pick on, but nothing that was not resolved the second I called them. They killed all the poison ivy on my property after I called them. Their responsiveness is good and they come according to their neighborhood schedule so they are not here at a certain time each week.

They do good work. They did the job. They cleaned up after they were done and moved on. They were a little expensive.

For Paul's Best Lawn Service, I’m not very happy with them. It was not a very good experience with them. The cost was the issue. They had done more work than I thought we agreed on.

It turned out very well. They did a complete work and the final cost and the estimate they gave me were the same. I didn't dislike anything about their service.

They're very consistent and my husband likes them a lot. I think we pay about $50 for our whole lawn. They listen to what we needed and our previous provider did not do that, and the other thing is that they're using the proper equipment and that's another thing that our previous provider didn't do. They basically messed up the lawn and my husband was not happy.

The work turned out fine. They did satisfactory work. The work was done jointly with my neighbor and I paid him a share of the price.
