Unfortunately, it's hard to compare apples to apples in this industry and there is only one Paul's Best. Paul’s Best Lawn Service, Inc. is a locally based, 2nd generation family-owned full service grounds maintenance company started by Paolo (Paul) Lo Monaco in 1978 and now owned and operated by his son's Jay and Tim Lo Monaco. At Paul’s Best Lawn Service, we listen carefully our clients to fully understand their individual needs. After 35 years, we’ve learned a lot about which lawn service practices work and which ones don’t when it comes to maintaining one of your most valuable assets. Understanding the physical environment in a property combined with years of proven service practices, we’ve developed the "Paul’s Best Service Protocols". Description of Work: I called to request estimates on some minor landscaping as well as and estimate to contract for regular lawn maintenance. The receptionist took my information and said that "a manager" would go by my home and then send me an estimate. I was concerned that someone could offer an estimate without actually having a conversation with me on site about my needs. Nevertheless, I agreed. One week later after receiving no estimate or follow up contact of any kind, I called again to ask about the status of my estimate. The receptionist said that she did not know which manger the request was with but she would find out and call me back. No call and still no estimate. It has now been two weeks since my original call. Clearly this company is not interested in my business. Update: 22 May 2011 After seeing my negative comments regarding their response to my request for an estimate, I received an email from Mo apologizing and asking if I would still like to receive an estimate. I told him that I had not yet selected a company so I would be willing to entertain his estimate. Within 2 days I had an estimate from him. I remain concerned that no one has asked me exactly what i would like to have done or how. At this point, I am still gathering estimates and have not yet selected a company. However, at this point, this company has not left me feeling confident regarding the future potential of their work.

Response from Paul's Best Lawn Service Inc
The member is correct in stating that we did take a while to respond from her initial contact. Unfortunately there was a miscommunication internally and the estimate was not done right away. After we apologized, we did send her an estimate, via email, and offered to meet with her to go over the work. There has been no response to the email. The only communication we have seen since the estimate are the comments made on Angie's List. Thank You
