Job was well done when it was finally done, at a good price. But provider missed several promised dates and was very difficult to schedule.

Was able to schedule an estimate and get the work done within a day. The professional staff did a great job completing their work in a timely manner. .Company has established a customer for life.

Mr. Lopez and crew were very professional and did an excellent job.

They arrived on time and worked diligently for several hours leaving a beautiful front yard and side garden box. They also mulched around my neighbor's house the same day. Both yards now look great!

Lopez Tree Service did a fantastic job taking down a 85 foot tall tree that was 1/2 hollow. They arrived on time and accomplished all work efficiently in six hours. Definitely call Lopez Tree Service for an estimate! We purchased a ¼ acre lot with house in cramped Del Ray, Alexandria. We had 30+ mature trees to remove prior to our house expansion/renovation. All trees were at least as tall as the 3 story house. Three of those were much larger and/or difficult to remove (growing through utilities wires, leaning over our fence and the neighbor’s yard, patio and shed). Within a day of contacting Lopez Tree Service, Alvaro came out to give me an estimate. It was lower than the other one I had received, but I was still waiting for a 3rd estimate. A week later, he called me and offered a lower price if I could start in 5 days as he had an opening on his schedule. I signed up that night. He called 2 days later and asked if he could start that morning. Fantastic! They worked Friday, Saturday, Monday, Tuesday and finished Wednesday. The trees all came down without incident. Alvaro spoke to the neighbors and made sure that their patio was protected and their yards were cleaned up afterwards. After construction, we will be landscaping the entire yard so we weren’t overly concerned about how clean it was left, and I told them this. But they still raked and cleaned up when they were finished. They did take great care to safeguard our shrubs and holly trees. And they were super conscientious about the neighbors – something that was important to me as I didn’t know them and was worried that they may not like their new treeless view and suddenly sunny backyard. I found Lopez Tree Service on Angie’s List. I was looking for a company with all positive reviews. I also wanted a company that was more than just a guy or two with chainsaws. Lopez Tree Service has a large crew of men, several trucks, a chipper and is very professional. They easily had access to a bucket truck to do the work on our largest tree that grew around the power lines. Our neighbors were impressed with them as well and hired them to do some work too. One guy in particular continuously offered up tips on how to prune our shrubs and what was the best way to make things look better. They also do landscaping. Our lot was extremely overgrown (tree, shrubs, ivy, bamboo) and will need a lot of care to get it where we want it. We will most definitely call Alvaro when our construction is complete and have him work on the landscaping.

They did a great job. One tree was extremely close to a favorite dogwood and I asked them if they could try their best to avoid the dogwood. I was pretty sure that would be impossible but they were very careful and the tree made it without a scratch. They were at least half the price of one of the tree services doing work in the neighborhood who came by and gave me a quote. One large tree was in a difficult location in the back, and very close to the house with lots of large limbs overhanging my house and a neighbor's. I was very worried they might damage one of the house or the patio but they, again, worked so carefully. They did a great job cleaning up. We decided to keep the wood from one of the trees and they stacked it carefully (I know, I keep repeat "carefully", but it's true). They were really nice too. I can't really think of how they could have been any better!

the guys were very professional, punctual and helpful when selecting the shrubs. the team worked very hard and were done in a couple of hours. We appreciate the flexibility and patience since we changed our mind about the kind of shrubs we wanted the last minute; however, they did not mind waiting for us to make the exchange and picked up the new order from the nursery. We are also planning to use the company for tree removal/trimming soon since the estimate received looks very reasonable

We had seen Mr. Lopez's large, shiny clean truck and chipper at neighbors' homes on our street, where several towering oaks were removed from precarious spots. Knowing those neighbors are cautious consumers and seeing how spotless their properties had been left after these considerable undertakings, we called Mr. Lopez for an estimate. (Another cold-call/hard-sell trimmer had given us an estimate over double the sum!) Mr. Lopez was here within a day or 2 to give a detailed, written estimate and to patiently answer our many questions about how work would be done. Lopez Tree Service was here on time and did a fine job of it. They left our property in good shape, not walking pathways into the lawn as they drug away debris, even covering a few tender young plantings to protect them while work was being done. Mr. Lopez was here to start things and here later for the bulk of the work, evenin doing some work himself. He was very professional in conduct, start to finish. Would absolutely use his company again for large or smaller jobs.

I found Lopez Tree Service through Angie's List. I called him for a free estimate for the removal of a twin-trunk oak tree in my backyard. He showed up within 4 hours and gave me a free estimate for the service. His price and offer of the next-day service were irresistible. So I hired him right on the spot. Today his team came and did the work to perfection. I am really impressed by the professonalism and skills his team members have shown. It took the team only an hour and a half to finish the job, including cleaning the debris on the ground. I have used two other tree service companies before, but Lopez Tree Service is by far the best tree service company I have ever had. I shall certainly use his service again. I am very pleased with the work his team has done. I highly recommend this company.

They were fantastic. They had enough people to do the job, they have their tools with them and they're organized. They're very meticulous with taking the branches down from the tree that was over the building. They know their stuff as they say and they were the best in terms of pricing. It took them 2 to 3 days when they got back to me and so the time was convenient for me.

The crew arrived on time and were ready to work right away. They were very professional and respectful of my property the entire time they were here. I watched most of the tree cutting process and they looked very experienced throughout. These guys are pros. It took them about 4 hours from start to finish. They ran into a small mechanical issue with their grinder, so it probably would have taken them less time otherwise. All debris was carefully removed. I had asked them to leave the wood so I have some firewood, so they stacked all the large tree pieces in a neat pile. Overall, I'm very happy with the work and would absolutely call them again.

This is my second experience working with Lopez Tree Service. Today they came out to grind down a tree stump, removed a 12' by 5' area of bushes and laid down sod. and also mulched the front and side of my house. I am very pleased with the work they have done and look forward to working with them again.

I contacted Mr. Lopez through his website which I found here on Angies List. He came out the next day to give me a very competitive estimate. We scheduled for the following the Monday but a winter storm caused us to postpone until the following weekend. Mr. Lopez and his crew were prompt and professional. They cut down a medium sized tree and trimmed a tree that was hovering over my house and touching my chimney. I am very pleased with Lopez Tree Services and plan on hiring them to do my landscaping in April.

Lopez Tree Service is the most professional, skillful, and reliable service in the Vienna, Virginia area. Our pines were old, huge, and dangerous. We were so relieved to have them removed. The Lopez Tree Service team wasted no time attacking the problem. They arrived on time and worked consistently until the job was done to our satisfaction. Their equipment is top-of-the-line. Their strategically planned, careful work left our property cleaner than they found it. The team took no breaks and played no loud music; they did excellent work based on years of experience. When our neighbor saw their work, he hired them to take down a large pine in his yard near our house. In the past, every time there was a big storm, I prayed that his tree would not fall on our house. But he was reluctant to have the tree removed until he saw the work of Lopez Tree Service. He hired them to take down the worrisome pine. He was very pleased with the work and recommended the service to another neighbor. Good news spreads fast in our neighborhood! We received many estimates for this job and went with Mr. Lopez because of his professional and polite attitude and because we had watched him and his crew work on other jobs in our north Arlington neighborhood. The only contractor who put in a bid lower than his did not have the proper equipment to complete the tricky work negotiating powerlines and the tight sidewalk, close houses and other trees. Mr. Lopez was honest about his timing and about the impact the heavy rain was having on his schedule and called me to give me updates and make sure I was ok with a schedule change. He and his crew arrived around 8:30 am as promised and got their eqiupment and trucks organized in a way to not block our narrow street as the morning elementary school students and parents rushed to the nearby school. I believe his crew numbered about 6, all dressed in hard hats and green Lopez Tree Service shirts. They worked diligently, professionally and very carefully and the tree was brought down strategically and safely by early afternoon without damaging the other trees and shrubs in our small yard or any adjoining property. They had a chipper to dispose of branches and hauled away all the wood at our request. They also did an amazing job cleaning up the site using rakes, brooms and blowers so they virtually left no trace except the stump which they were grinding the next day. His employee returned the following day with the stump grinder and quickly ground the stump as requested, leaving the mulched wood. We highly recommend Alvaro Lopez and his company for tree and landscaping work.

Lopez returned my call immediately and showed up the next day to give an estimate. His estimate was 1/3 of the next lowest estimate I got. He and his team (4 others) showed up on the next Saturday and did the work in about 2-3 hours.

Extremely fast and professional service. Competed the job in less time than I could have gotten someone out for an estimate by other services. Highly recommended!
