After extensive research, we chose Globe Bath & Kitchen Remodeling to remodel our whole first floor (kitchen, half bath, family room/dining room). We had a negative experience with the previous contractor who had done our master and guest bathrooms (tile cracked within 6 months and floor tiles were uneven, despite having them return to fix things, twice). With the first floor remodeling, we wanted wood-grained porcelain tiles floors for the whole first floor of our townhouse and wanted to make sure that it was done right. The small galley kitchen also needed an upgrading from the 1980s oak and Formica look to a sleeker, more modern, and user friendly environment ? the latter point important as we hope to age in place. We could not be happier with the job done by Adem Sirage and his team! Adem worked very closely (and patiently) with us on a design that features clean lines (flat slab cherry cabinets, stainless steel appliances and quartz composite counters), multi-level lighting, and features (pull out spice cabinet, large drawers for pots and pans, under cabinet outlets) that make the kitchen a joy for cooking. Simple changes, such as removing café-style doors and their frames created openness and a seamless flow to other rooms. Moving the sink under a window provided a longer counter, which maximized our workspace (also perfect when we host buffet suppers). The wood-grained porcelain tile was the perfect choice for us ? it looks incredible, is durable, and unbelievably easy to maintain. It?s also perfectly laid. Nothing cracked and nothing is uneven. The team, headed by Calixto was extremely professional. I don?t think that I have ever seen a harder working group of men. They showed up six days a week, no later than 9:30 am. They were incredibly courteous and sensitive to the fact that we were living in the upper two floors while they worked. The first floor was cleaned every night before they left. They did not hesitate to ask for input or decisions when needed. Both Adem and Calixto provided great ideas and always offered pros and cons regarding design or material issues. Calixto also thought I was too picky and a bit of a perfectionist ? guilty, but he always achieved that perfection. Although they started one week later than expected, they managed to finish several days earlier than originally planned. Also on Adem?s incredible team was Adriana, who manages his office. She always knew what was going on and she made the extra effort to make sure that we were happy as the job progressed. We have absolutely no complaints about the price. It was extremely competitive for what we wanted. We received a quality product by a professional team. I would not hesitate to recommend them or to use them again. They are first-class!

It didn't. I tried to work with them on the project but they were unable to complete it.

The people who actually did the work were very professional. They started the work and finished early. There were minimal disruption to our daily cooking and were very accommodating. We added few items in the middle of the project and they were very receptive to the changes we proposed. We are totally satisfied.

Everything went smoothly. Luis -- the on-site project manager -- and his team came promptly, worked hard, and tidied up at the end of every day. The work was completed on time - three weeks to the day. Globe had done an earlier project for us - renovation of a small master bathroom - and while that project went very well, this more complicated renovation was even easier in some ways. We always knew exactly what was going to happen on any given day. Dust control was good. Luis was an excellent communicator and the work took place just as he described. Globe did the plumbing, but we had an outside electrician come in to install LED lights under the cabinets and do some other electrical work. Coordination of these activities was seamless. Globe's owner, Sirage Adem, was very helpful. He got back to us quickly with information, provided links to help us make some design decisions, and was responsive throughout the planning and installation process. The new kitchen looks great, and we are delighted with the quality of the work. Having a clear idea of what you want will help the process go smoothly, and having the contract reflect everything - reviewing it carefully - will help, too. Sirage was tireless - and patient -- in all of the back-and-forth that it took to get everything nailed down.

We had a positive experience with Globe Bath and Kitchen. Adem Sirage was very helpful throughout the process, steering us toward the best materials in our price point and helping us put together a truly beautiful kitchen. As the work continued, anytime we saw something that wasn't quite to our liking, Adem worked with us to address the issue and made sure the final product was exactly what we'd hoped for. The work was completed in excellent time - Luis and his crew showed up promptly each morning and put in long days, even working Saturdays. The job was finished in about 6 weeks, and we are very pleased with the results. We never had to worry about the crew not showing up or slacking on the job. These guys worked very hard and stayed focused day in and day out. There were a couple of hiccups after the work was complete (minor things - for example, a small leak around a new toilet because a wax ring was set a bit off due to a slant in the floor and a couple lines of grout that needed to be redone) but each time we called with a concern, Adem sent his team back out quickly and any issue was addressed without hassle. This is exceptional customer service! I really appreciate Adem's commitment and pledge to guarantee his work for a full year, and have confidence that his team will continue to take good care of us if we run into any problems (but I doubt we will!) This is a great company and I highly recommend their services to other Angie's list users.

Not only were they creative and outstanding at the time of the remodel, they have been responsive and fixed a problem that arose 2 years later--all within a week of the request...and the job was excellent! Highly recommended.

In January, 2015, my husband began to have difficulty climbing into the bathtub. We decided to convert the tub to a walk-in shower. I sought estimates from 4 contractors and was ready to engage one when I found Globe Bath & Kitchen Remodeling. Adem came and assessed our needs and shared pictures of work they had completed. The bathrooms were designed around the needs of handicap people who wish to remain independent. The bathrooms were not only functional they were also beautiful. The grab bars are functional and gorgeous.By the time we decided on the work, my husband had to have back surgery in February. Adem had his team to begin work while my husband was in rehab. Adem had his team led by Calicio to begin the next week. Calicio and his team were polite, professional, meticulous and extremely clean. Each evening they cleaned and vacuumed the areas affected. Once the bathroom was gutted, they found problems with the pipes. Since this required an increase in the estimated cost, Adem agreed to split the additional cost with us. Unfortunately,as we began to enjoy our beautiful bathroom and shower we began to see water damage to the living room ceiling. Fortunately, Adem came immediately. Adem arranged for Calicio and his team to return the next day. They found the leak by going through the living room ceiling. They found the leak, repaired it and put in a new living room ceiling at no charge to us.Yes, I will most definitely use Globe again without reservation.

Globe came to provide an estimate. They were generally cordial. The estimate was too high and so I didn't use their service.

Overall, it was a pleasure working with everyone we met at Globe Kitchen and Bath. Essentially, they remodeled two- 40-year-old bathrooms into 2 beautiful up to date bathrooms within a month. The result is just as we had hoped. We love our new bathrooms. It was a pleasure doing business with Adem, and his assistant, José, Eric, and Andrea. The details follow. We called Globe Kitchen and Bath because of reviews we had read on Angie?s List. We also interviewed an additional contractor that never returned with an estimate for the job and got a full plan and estimate from a third company. Initially we met with Sirage Adem, the president of the company. He came to our house within a week of our phone call. He and his assistant met with us to discuss our remodeling vision. We were pleased that Mr. Adem offered some ideas that we hadn't considered and provided possible solutions to design issues we had, given the space constraints of our home. One of the ideas that he offered was to include some features that will allow independent home living, if we choose to live in the house as we age. We now have grab bars in both bathrooms and a barrier free shower. (The grab bars are designed so that they blend in with the overall design and provide support without interrupting the overall look of the bathroom. They are almost hidden features.) He offered an appointment at their showroom within a couple of days to select tiles, flooring, cabinets, granite, bathroom fixtures, doors, etc. They had an overwhelming number of product options. Again, Mr. Adem was very helpful. When we talked with him about our overall vision, he directed us to the floor and bath tiles that would suit that design vision. It made it very easy at that point for my husband and I to make our tile, fixture, cabinet, flooring, and granite choices. We planned to replace everything in a small bathroom that included a bathtub. It was essentially gutted except for the tub. We chose to re-glaze the tub instead of replacing the tub. The second bathroom was a small bathroom with a shower that was combined with an outside sink vanity area into a larger bathroom with a double vanity and barrier free shower with a glass door. This required a new door, and wall, which they added. They also added lights over the shower and bathtub, tiles from floor to the ceiling, and outlets within the vanities. They added a light to the adjoining closet, replaced the closet door, and painted the door. Adem visited our home one or two more times to check the measurements and clarify or change the contract as we finalized the plan. The work began in late March, about 6 weeks after we started the process. Globe Kitchen and Bath was ready to start earlier, but due to family plans we held off a couple of weeks. The construction crew consisted of José and Eric. They worked on both bathrooms at the same time and took advantage of the opportunities to work efficiently. They were the hardest workers we've ever had doing any remodeling project at our home. They were punctual, worked through the day, and cleaned up before they left. A few snags came up along the way with things found in our older house that needed to be replaced or were unanticipated, miss-communication, or changes that we wanted to make. As with all contractors we've had in the past, we found that it's important to be on-site in the event of questions/decisions and to review the job often to be sure that everything is incorporated according to the contract. The folks at Globe Kitchen and Bath were responsive and made any necessary changes. In the end, we felt the cost adjustments for the changes and additional work not in the contract were fair.

Globe was initially very good to work with. But the salesman with whom I had worked left the company mid-way through the project, and I felt like I kind of fell through the cracks. The owner, Adem, was not responsive to my emails/calls. Especially since they offer a 1 year warranty on their work. I needed a few touch-ups (caulking, etc.), and Adem never returned my messages after the job was completed. Overall, it took a few weeks longer than expected. I'm really happy with the finished product, but I wasn't pleased with the professionalism and responsiveness of the company.

Could not have gone better. We were renovating a 1980's bathroom and adding an upstairs washer/dryer in a closet behind the bathroom. We went to 3 bath remodel places, 2 of which would only give us ballpark estimates before we committed to contracts. Globe was the smallest outfit but spent the most time with us in putting together a detailed plan and materials and giving us a very detailed contract with hyperlinks to all the materials we had looked at. Their estimate was seriously half what the other two shops wanted (with no idea of what we were getting). The contract included everything we wanted. We knew what we wanted from the outset and the Globe showroom had easily accessible materials that we could lay out and visualize our plan. The work was completed in 4 weeks, as promised. The crew, headed by Gabriel, was consistently on time, careful and neat with the house and floors, professional, extremely competent and friendly. We wound up with a bathroom that was exactly what we had envisioned and more. They did a fabulous job with every detail.

Everything went well. The service was on time, the work finished quickly and to our specifications.

Amazing price and service by Adam and team. It has been close to year since the service was done and I was waiting to see, if anything breaks down. But, no complaints. Amazing quality work. Adam was involved from the beginning and got us the best price. We have a big kitchen and was a complete remodel - cabinets, floor, granite, sink, faucets, lights, backsplash. We paid for the appliances but they installed. Italo did numerous designs and re-design based on our requirements. We keep changing the design and these guys were all comfortable making those. I remember Adem spending us entire day for granite selection and helped us big time selecting one. We are thankful, that he asked us to select the one we did, because everyone who comes to our place, appreciates the granite. Calixto is awesome - He keep redoing until you say so, its perfect. Only thing was the project was delayed and we didn't had kitchen for some time to cook. But I I think, that comes with any large project. One more thing, we didn't had paint in our contract (that's the reason, we don't have pictures posted yet) but this was our first large project. Wasn't sure, if we should have explicitly called out paint in the contract. But we don't have any complaints. I think the work these guys did was awesome and everyone who looks our kitchen, likes it. We plan to remodel bathrooms now and would again call these guys to get it done.

Globe Bath & Kitchen came out to do a quote, barely asked questions, and took some perfunctory measurements. We never heard back from them. Our bathroom project is small, and I have since learned that there are contractors who are uninterested in taking on small projects. While I understand this business decision, I would have appreciated some sort of communication to the effect of we aren't able to take on the project, or even be upfront on the phone and say they don't do small projects. Instead, my husband took time off work to be home for the quote, only to be effectively blown off. I don't appreciate it this and will not be recommending them to other people.

I received four detailed estimates for a complete kitchen remodel with new flooring, new cabinet for a wine bar, all new lighting and appliance install (I bought the appliances), and complete gutting and renovation of hall powder room. Globe Bath and Kitchen provided the most detailed proposal for the work and had the lowest price. I decided to use Globe Kitchen and Bath for the kitchen because of the price and because I liked their workmanship on a major 3 bathroom gut and remodel 4 years ago. Adem, the owner, had Louis lead the project because he did the bathroom work and he knew our house. Project turned out very well and Louis did a quality job. The only B I'm giving them is for responsiveness at the end of the project. Approximately 95% of the work was complete, and all that was left was some cabinet trim that had to be ordered and installed. The last 5% took about 6 weeks to finish because they were so busy and didn't fit me into the schedule. Overall, we are very pleased and will use them again.

Adem has always been very helpful and patient during the planning and design phase of the project. He has worked with us to ensure we get the style and quality of materials that we desire. The work crew does excellent quality work, especially detailed tile work. GBK subs out some specialty work, such as shower doors. GBK oversight of the work in progress is lacking and we have had to ensure the quality of the work being installed. Our experience on the two different occasions that we used GBK is that toward the end of the project, the remaining work is used as "filler" while the work crews dedicate the majority of their time toward new jobs. In the last job they did, this extended over several weeks. Having said that, we were very pleased with the final product and, if we had additional renovation work, would not hesitate to use GBK again.

It went really well, the person was super nice.
