Description of Work: The service they provided was either new countertops or they installed new tile, a shower knob and re-did some of my shower and tub.

Description of Work: My spouse contacted this provider to get an estimate on a bathroom remodel. The initial contact with the provider was made via their web contact page. It took them a couple of days to make contact with us. An appointment was scheduled for the following week for the company to come to our house to give an estimate. The day before they were scheduled to come we received a call to reschedule the appointment to the next week. A couple of days before the scheduled appointment, they called again to reschedule the appointment. The appointment was scheduled for the following week. Approximately, 30 minutes before they were scheduled to arrive at the house, we received a call that they were unable to come and they recommended that we call the office to reschedule. | |The last appointment was scheduled for the week of the snowstorm, so it is possible that the weather conditions were a factor in their inability to keep the appointment. However, in the 3 times that we were contacted to reschedule the appointment, we never received an apology for the delay nor did they appear concerned that the repeated cancellations might be an inconvenience for us. | |It appears that this company was not interested in getting our business and we will be contacting other vendors for our bathroom remodeling.

Description of Work: Enlarged bathroom door opening by removing door and cutting away part of wall than framing the door way. and adding two half doors in hallway entrance that swings in either direction giving room for my wheelchair to turn.. The door and new frame |were then painted and. two grab bars were then added near the bathroom entrance. The marble sill was also set lower so that it was easy for me to roll into the bathroom. the owner was very helpful with suggestions and the two workers were cheerful and friendly.

The workmen who came were very friendly and competent - only one complaint - they were not punctual. One other plus, the person who answers the phone is very competent and a pleasure to talk to.

Description of Work: Purchased a deal for kitchen design consultation and 3D drawings. Appointment scheduling (and rescheduling) was painful. Never received drawings that were promised and the point of the service, or any followup whatsoever for that matter. Company was responsive one month later when I requested a refund, although I have yet to hear from Angie's List about processing that refund.

Description of Work: The experience was the best! Globe completely renovated my kitchen (removing the wall between the dining room and the kitchen), basement bathroom and laundry room. I am a very detailed person. We revised the plan several times and Adem listened to every detail. He gave me an estimate and stay very close to the estimate (given that I made several changes). The team led by Luis was wonderful. The were very professional. They arrived on time and worked throughout the entire day and sometimes beyond. They were respectful and courteous took only one lunch break during the day. Throughout Luis and was pleasant and implemented each request and change assuring me that the change was not a problem. While, Globe was not the cheapest estimate, I am extremely happy with the results. It was definitely worth it. I got exactly what I wanted. In fact I have referred them to my friends and I will definitely use them again and again. Great company, and a great experience!

Description of Work: First, when I called to set up an appointment for an estimate, the young lady who answered the phone appeared to have difficulty understanding the English language. After several attempts to get her to understand me an appointment was finally made. The person came out to give the estimate was not personable at all and barely spoke to me or my husband. After taking his measurements, he told us an email would be sent with the estimate. Well, as of today we NEVER heard from them again and our bathroom shower has since been remodeled by another company!

Description of Work: My wife and I decided to choose Globe for my bathroom and kitchen renovation because of their reputation and customer service. Adem was more than willing to accommodate my requests and his crew worked diligently every time they came to work on the bathroom. The renovations of Our bathroom included the bath, shower, tile, paint, electrical work, and plumbing. The kitchen new tile floor and replace some of the appliance. They were very responsible and kept an open line of communication with me throughout the process. Calixto and his crew always came on time and managed to keep me in the loop with the construction. Since my job requires me to be at work from 9-6pm on the weekdays, Calixto and his crew were very responsible in keeping the house in order while working on the section of the bathroom they needed. I felt very comfortable working with Globe. After the renovations were completed they disposed of all the debris. Overall I am pleased with the new look of my bathroom. Not only was Globe affordable but they were also responsive and committed to making my happy. Even came back to do any small warranty issue after payment was made.

Description of Work: Total renovation of a galley kitchen, including new ceiling, wiring, floors, cabinets, and appliances. This is a really good, small contractor for a kitchen or bath project. As with any projects of this type there were a few speed bumps along the way. Adem and his crews and subcontractors were responsive and attentive to resolving issues as they came up. Most particularly we had a problem initially with the finish work on the new cabinets. Adem arranged for several site visits from the manufacturer, and his effort in this regard and patience while waiting for the issue to be satisfactorily resolved (and it was) were exemplary. The quality of work performed by Globe's own crew as well as the foreman in charge was absolutely top notch, and they followed project specifications They and their subs showed up when they were supposed, and generally did a nice job of leaving the site neat and tidy at the end of each day. This is an easy company for a demanding owner like me to work.with, and I am already working on planning our next project with Adem and his crew (a complete re-do of our second floor bathroom).

Description of Work: We wanted a bathroom remodel, featuring a tub to shower conversion, but also a new fan/light, flooring, and faucets. We had already decided we wanted a solid-surface shower enclosure, rather than tile with grout lines, and wanted the solid surface walls to go from shower pan to the ceiling. ($9000)

Description of Work: I am looking for a company to repair my bathroom floor due to possible toilet leaking and found this company on Angie's List. I wanted someone to come to my house and give me an estimate on what work would be needed.

Description of Work: The contractor completely remodeled my master bath that included removing wallpaper, shower stall, toilet cabinets, light fixtures and mirror. New flooring, cabinets, shower stall, mirror and lights were installed. Tile was removed from base of tub that was not replaced and new tile added to the tub surround. Walls were repaired and painted.

Description of Work: Complete redo of a half-bath in late 2003 for about $1500. Tile floor of basement bath (larger than above) and install new vanity in 2006 for about $2000. I am currently in the process of having Globe re-do my two upstairs baths, which will be a much bigger job than these above (like 30K) involving moving plumbing, walls and floor-to-ceiling tear-out. Based on the above two jobs, I always said when I was able to do the upstairs baths, I would use Adem (the owner of Globe).

Description of Work: Removed 55 year old cast iron tub and three rows of ceramic tiles. Relocated plumbing vent pipe. Built up sub-floor to accommodate new acrylic shower pan. Installed new Moen shower control mixing valve and control, shower head and hand held massage head on a vertical sliding bar. Installed new shower pan. (NOTE: the first pan that they installed was not EXACTLY what I wanted due to the fact that I felt that it had a "slight" give to it when I stood and/or moved around in it. As I am disabled and weigh almost 450 lbs. stability was a VERY IMPORTANT ISSUE. Adam and his installer T.C. went the extra mile, ordered and installed a firmer pan at NO EXTRA COST, no questions asked.). Installed 4" X 4" embossed tile acrylic shower surround and handicapped grab bar.

Description of Work: Globe Bath & Kitchen completed a design-build project of my basement. The job involved gutting an already finished basement (two small rooms and a laundry area) and building a bathroom, creating a new family room, and finishing the laundry area. The work involved new plumbing, upgrading the HVAC systems, and upgrading the electric, as well as painting the refinished basement.

Description of Work: GBK come out to my home on second job and completed the bathroom on the upstairs level as well as the kitchen. I had granite counter tops placed in my kitchen with the best workers ever. They were courteous and professional. I love the changes to the upstairs hall bathroom. I had all of the original components replaced, such as the toilet sink and tub (with a glass enclosures). I will always call GBK as they are number one in my book and I have had several interaction with various companies and never did I use them again. Finally, I am currently awaiting an estimate for my kitchen cabinets to be upgraded.

Description of Work: They were the general contractors hired to strip and remodel our 10 x12 bathroom. They stripped it down to the studs, installed new water resistant sheet rock, put in the new sub-floor, and ceiling. They removed the old fixtures and arranged and paid for the plumbing and tile contractors.

Description of Work: They enlarged my bathroom and my kitchen. My bathroom is 100 square feet and they gutted it and took down the walls and all fixtures. Then they installed all new floors, walls, a shower, counters, a spa bathtub, tiled all the counters, put ceramic on the walls and floors, and put in new ceilings. In the kitchen, they first gutted it and removed the debris from the 250 square foot space and then installed new marble counters, painted the walls, tiled the floors, installed a marble stand, and made spaces for high end electric appliances. They also installed exhaust vents in the laundry room and new ceilings.
