In the heat wave of late June 2012, I had my refrigerator die on me. Appliance Fix-It showed up on the same day, diagnosed a problem that a previous repairman had missed entirely, and performed a very inexpensive and quick fix that solved the problem completely. I was so impressed I asked them to look at 2 home AC units that were underperforming. They had all the necessary equipment and supplies in their truck and performed the service on the spot and quickly. One unit was a quick fix which they handled immediately and inexpensively. The second was a more complex diagnosis which they helped with. I will definitely call them again.

They are quick, nice, and are reasonably priced.

They fix small things and appliances and they do a good job. The price seemed reasonable.

When I walked in to the store I was met with a friendly greeting. Was told it may be a few hours was that okay. A few hours passed by and they called with the estimate. The job was completed by the early afternoon. When I arrived to pick my mower up I was again greeted with a friendly greeting and provided an personal overview of the work performed on my mower. The people at Appliance Fix-it Inc are very sincere about doing a great job and that I was happy with the service provided. Excellent customer service!!

They are very honest and have been able to fix everything I have taken to them. I also think their pricing is very reasonable.

Fine. Very courteous, timely and professional. I later found that I could get the same work done at Lamp Factory Outlet in Fairfax for $10 (and it's closer) so probably won't return.

When the home I purchased at the end of May (2011) came with a lawn mower in the garage, I was excited. When the lawn mower didn't start, I was deflated. Enter Appliance Fix-It and their stellar technicians. I called on a Thursday to see if they could take a look at the mower, dropped the mower off after work and it was fixed and ready to pick up the next day (Friday) just in time to mow the lawn over the weekend. They saved me a couple hundred dollars in the purchase of a new mower! Not only did the staff respond quickly and with great professionalism, they also gave me some great tips on how to maintain my lawn mower in the future. I will definately take my little lawn mower to them in the future for tune ups and yearly service.

Vacuum power switch wiring overheated and shorted out. I e-mailed (after hours) Appliance Fix-It, explaining the problem and inquiring about how much this type of repair would run. They promptly replied by the morning with an estimate. I took the vacuum in that day. After checking out the vacuum, they told me how much the repair would cost, which was a reasonable price. Vacuum was ready for pick-up the next morning. They were very prompt and courteous.

Work was completed one business day later. (This was February, I know it takes longer later in the season for lawn mower service, but still that was a quick turn-around.) The price is about a third of what it would cost to replace this mower, but I'm of the school that prefers to maintain and repair, rather than throw stuff away, and the charge was in line with what I've paid elsewhere. In addition to getting the mower, I received a sheet of tips and explanation to go with it on maintaining the mower during the mowing season.

I have had a noisy washing machine and finally got sick of it. I looked around online and found this local appliance repair show that seemed to do well on other review sites. I called this morning and they put me in touch with their service person who called me back within 30 minutes to schedule. Turns out it was just a screw missing - it was really refreshing that they didn't try to scam me and make me buy a new motor or something crazy. I even had issues with my phone when they called me back to let me know they were on their way. When we finally got in touch again, they came out after hours to make sure it was fixed same day. Overall, really great service and would highly recommend them!

It went very well -- I dropped it off Tuesday evening and it was ready for pickup on Thursday. They did a great job -- the new cord is much more "flexible" than the original one and hopefully I won't have the "kinking" problems that occurred with the original cord.

the bottom heating elements in my Delonghi toaster oven longer worked. Since there was some doubt whether the replacement parts supplied by Delonghi would fit, Appliance fix-it made me pay in full up front. When I got the repaired toaster oven home I noticed the door wouldn't open all the way because the hinge wasn't installed properly and screws holding the door frame on are missing. The glass also falls out of the frame if you aren't careful. I was told by Delonghi the heating element kit contained both upper and lower elements - only the lower elements were replaced. When I called and complained they didn't offer to look at it or try to make things right.

My lamp was blinking so I took it in for repair. They gave me the quote upfront and called me as soon as it was done - in a day or two. The cashier was very courteous.

Unresponsive, and apparently uninterested in additional business. No follow-up. I would not call them again.

I was told that the Company charges $25 to do the estimate which would be applied to the cost of the repair if I chose to have them repair the steam cleaner. I got a call the next day that it needed a new pump assembly which would have to be ordered and that the work would be finished the next week. I was told the cost would be $125 plus tax. I asked if it was worth fixing or should it just be replaced (they sell appliances as well) and was told that it was definitely worth fixing. The very same day, I got a call that my steam cleaner was repaired and ready for pick-up. I picked it up today and in addition to replacing the pump assembly, they replaced the belts, cleaned the machine and gave it a general overhaul. I was only charged for the pump assembly.

I have had it for 5 years and I have never had to do a tune up. They are good. I haven't had a problem since. It didn't cost that much. I can't really remember the price, but maybe it was a little more. It was a standard repair and I wasn't really shocked by the price. It's worked fine ever since and I really thought that they do what they say they are going to do. They said they would have it in a few days. A couple of days later they called and said that it was ready and I went down and picked it up. It was a super experience. I would take another appliance back there. It was the first time I had ever been there. It's just up the road from me. I shop at the store next door to them and I just thought that I would drop it off and go back in a couple of days. I would recommend them for any vacuum repair. They seemed very good and I was very happy. It wasn't a big expense but a good experience.

They are just wonderful and they can fix anything. I would use them again in future and I like them a lot.

When I called the office in the morning to ask for a technician to come to my house to service my refrigerator I had to leave a message. They returned my phone call within 5 minutes. The technician was able to come out within an hour of me calling, diagnosed the issue, gave me a quote and also suggested that the compressor was still under warranty. After investigating, I found that the part was under warranty until the end of the year, but the labor would not have been included and the company who holds the warranty would not be available to come out to look at my fridge until 5 days later or tell me how much labor would cost. The technician had the idea to buy a part that would restart the compressor and was willing to come back to my house later in the day to try the part. Thankfully it worked and I didn't have to buy a new compressor, saving me over $400 and 1 week of not having a refrigerator. I appreciated their timeliness, regard for how serious the matter was to me, flexibility, fairness, honesty and quick thinking. I would definitely use their service again and promote it to others.

I called, tech was here w/in 1/2 hour. Was professional, friendly,and efficient. Respected my property. Was very careful. Had the part on the truck. in and out in an hour, and the appliance is running perfectly.

He was very polite, and I?ve not had any problems with his work. I would rate him highly.

Staff could not have been nicer or more prompt on the phone or in person. They were very familiar with the repair and could give me a "ballpark" estimate over the phone so I could determine if the blender was worth repairing or replacing. The repair was even completed it while I waited. While I am sure that is not always possible, I was impressed and very appreciative that was even an option.

I knew they would pick up the mower from other reviews, though did not know it was $40 for pick up/drop off. However, I was willing to pay because the grass was way too high and I didn't want to mess my car up. They said they would call me the next day before doing any work to ensure the charges were okay, though I didn't receive a call until later in the week after they already did the work. I noticed the discrepancy, though it was not a big deal because the price was what they quoted. Also, it had been raining alot that week and I'm sure they were busy. Anyway, not a problem. Everyone was friendly and they returned it when they said they would. The guy even started it up and tested it out on the grass. The mower was the cleanest it's ever been and works greta.

The lawn mower needed sharpening and a tune-up; was not starting readily. I dropped it off for service on a Friday, and it was ready the next day, though I did not pick it up until Monday (the company was open until 1:00 on Memorial Day, which was convenient.) The company would pick up the mower for a $40 charge, therefore I dropped it off for service.

They picked up the mower on time, fixed it and delivered within 2 days. I had not performed any maintenance on the mower since I purchased in 2005, so it was in pretty bad shape. It runs like new now...
