The job went fine, I was very pleased. They were prompt, on time, professional and the estimate was spot on. The floors look very nice.

Back in 2005 they refinished the floors in my entire house and they charged me $3,449.90. I called them to lay hardwood floors in my kitchen, 66 SQ FT, and Chris gave me an estimate of $2545.65. Every other estimate I received came in between $900-$1,200. I was very taken back by the jump in price, as well as the difference between their estimate and that of other companies. Chris, the estimator was nice, friendly, courteous and professional.

I have used Mand M one other time to do my kitchen. My sister and parents have also used them several times. I contacted them on Thurs and on Monday morning the crew showed up. The entire work took 1 week to complete. The were alot more pet stained areas than we had anticipated. Mand M worked with us patiently and did not take advantage of the situation. Their work is top notch. I would definitely use Mand M again.

The job started on time and all was going well the first two days. When the stain and finish work started is when numerous problems began. Several costs came up such as thresholds which had not been included in the initial price. The job foreman also refused to follow my request to make any wood cuts outside the home, it would have been an additional ten steps for him to go outside. He stated this would delay the job by a full day, and threaten to walk off the job. His supervisor came to the home and supported his work team. I was very disappointed with the quality of work as gaps are now appearing between floorboards, I would never deal with this company again.

They made the floors look really good. They put a nice finish on the floors. Some of the flooring had been covered with carpet since the 1950's. It looks like we have brand new floors. I was referred to them by others in the neighborhood. They were a lot cleaner than we thought they would be. We had them do the work before we moved our stuff. If something happened, I moved again, or if I wanted new wood floors in a part of the house that doesn't have them I would call them again.

They did an outstanding job and they did everything in the time frame that they said they would do it in. They did exactly what they said they would do and we were quite happy with the experience. The cost was what they had estimated it would be and before they left, they explained how to take care of them so they still look just like they did when they were put in.

Every step was flawless. With all of the experiences that have gone along with completing two additions on our house - dealing with M and M was refreshing.

They did a really good job we were very pleased. They seem to be very professional. I have had a lot of referrals for them. Price wise, they are better other companies, I think.

They did an incredible job. They also cleaned up well. The initial estimate was over $14,000 and I got them down to $10,500 for the same product and service. I would recommend not taking the first estimate, because they will come down in price easily. They started the job when they said they would and finished a day ahead of schedule. I would use them again in the future and would highly recommend them to others.

We have pets and they steered us right in the finish. They took out three different flooring types and unified the sub flooring so it is all even and seamless. They did install one board that I did not want and they did replace it. The floor is guaranteed for one year. The results are beautiful.

Upon receiving the quote, we were pleasantly surprised that the quote was not as high as anticipated and agreed to proceed with the work. Mand M insisted that the contract have every page initialed and signed before work would begin. We went in to sign the contract and the work was started. Upstairs was fine. Downstairs, once work progressed, the floors were installed and looked great. Minor costs had arisen such as thresholds which had not been included in the initial quote. Upon receiving the final bill it was several thousands of dollars higher than we had anticipated. A page had been missing from our initial contract. Their mistake not ours, but they argued with us and we agreed to pay for all materials, which was still substantially more than initial contract we signed. Floor has not settled well over time (1.5 years) and gaps are appearing between floorboards. Mediocre job and awful company to deal with if they are not collecting checks from you.

My new floor looks spectacular. I really liked the job they did because they were on time, and the quality of the work they did was just spectacular. They got done pretty fast. They cleaned up afterwards and left everything looking great.

Both the man who did the estimate and the crew to do the job arrived when they said they would. They were courteous and professional and they did the job. They did what they said they would do or better. So they said they couldn't promise a match with the hall flooring, but would do their best to make it as close as possible. It was a near perfect match. They said they would clean up at the end and the walls would be as little damaged as possible, but there might be some marks. The cleaning up was fine and the walls had only a few spots. They finished on time. I was not living in the house so I don't know how it was day to day. We were very pleased with the work, and plan to use them again.

Mand M's price was somewhat higher than the estimates of other contractors contacted. Mand M's performance of the work was inadequate and behind schedule. The first set of steps stained by Mand M did not match the pre-existing wood floors. Consequently, Mand M had to make a 2nd attempt, but did not properly match the second set, either. Mand M did not perform the staining properly until its 3rd attempt. The result was that the project fell an entire month behind schedule. In addition, the top tread on the basement steps was not installed evenly and Mand M did not correct this defect. Further, its management proved to be uncooperative and was unpleasant to deal with, even though we were quite flexible and accommodating with Mand M. I regret having hired Mand M and have subsequently learned that we would have been much better off, i.e., the work would have been done better, quicker, and at less expense, had we retained one of the other flooring firms in the area. I strongly discourage anyone from using Mand M.

Overall, not bad, but not great. They have multiple crews that do work for them and, while all of the workers behaved in a friendly and professional manner, the finished product was a little "sloppy". We had had wall-to-wall carpeting, and there were tons of nail and staple holes... Instead of filling and sanding these BEFORE top-coating the floor, they filled everything with putty - after the second coat had been applied. The resulting filled holes are sunken in and dull - and very noticeable. Also, the finish on our stairs is uneven and rough. Throughout the house, there are little pieces of lint stuck in the finish. M and M sent out an owner and sanding supervisor to look at the finished job. They agreed that things were not done exactly as they should have been. After calling and emailing a different owner multiple times, he finally agreed to take some money off of the final invoice. To be fair, it was a big job, but I feel they should have done a "cleaner", more exacting job.

They did a fabulous job. Angie's List is a wonderful way to find the people that you need. M and M did everything I thought they would do.

From initial contact to finish our relationship with staff was excellent. We wanted the work to be done while we were out of town. Initially they could not do the job on the days we would be gone. But they were able to reschedule for the desired dates. The reason for doing the job while we were out the house is obvious if you have ever had flooring refinished. With their new equipment dust was at an absolute minimum when we returned. They finished the day before we returned and the floor was walkable when we got home. They had neglected to do the molding, we called, and staff was there bright and early (8 am) the next morning to finish the job. This was our second experience with Mand M and these people are good.

They took forever to complete the job but it was worth it. The floors are beautiful and I've been told by several people that the workmanship is excellent. In defense of them, (regarding the time)it took a long time to do the job because it was very humid this summer and when they'd show up to do a second coat, they'd find the first coat hadn't dried. We were displaced for 3 weeks because we practically had the entire first floor done. Nevertheless, it's done and we would do it again with M and M. They did a superb job.

We needed older oak floors refinished, but the Mand M estimator pointed out areas on our newer Brazilian Cherry floors where the finish looked cloudy. He said the varnish hadnt been properly applied and it would look 100% better if we had them refinished, so we did those too. He said the oak floors had not been finished well because they looked wavy, caused by a problem with the sanding machine. After the floors were refinished they looked the same-the oak floors are wavy and the cherry floors have cloudy areas. We were then told by the estimator that sap leaks from sanded cherry which causes cloudy spots. First it was faulty varnish and would look better after refinishing, later it's a sap problem inherent in the wood. We were told another coat of varnish might fix it, but we would have to pay to have this done. Also the house was left unlocked for 5 days after they were done, lots of debris was left in the house, gouges in the stairwell woodwork, and the new wood vents were installed damaged.

Company performed well did a good job.

THE JOB WAS BEAUTIFUL. WE LEFT TOWN LEAVING Mand M IN CHARGE OF OUR HOME. THEY HAD SECURED OUR HOME DAILY AND WE FELT COMFORTABLE AS WE WERE OVERSEAS! THE WORK AREAS WERE CLEAN. IT WAS GREAT TO RETURN HOME TO SOMETHING SPECIAL.

WONDERFUL! THE SERVICE WAS GREAT. I CALLED AND MADE THE APPOINTMENT AND WITHIN A WEEK MY FLOOR WAS INSTALLED. I RECOMMEND TO EVERYONE. I THOUGHT THE COMPANY WAS REASONABLE IN PRICE.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH THIS COMPANY HAS BEEN WONDERFUL. THE WORKERS ARE VERY NICE AND VERY POLITE. I WILL USE THEM FOR THE FUTURE. I HAVE NO PROBLEM WITH THIS COMPANY AT ALL.

THEY DID A GOOD INITIAL JOB, AND WERE VERY RESPONSIVE WITH OUR REQUESTS FOR TOUCH-UPS.
