Chris came to the house to scope the job and make estimate - his advice and recommendations were knowledgeable and helpful. The work started and finished on the agreed dates. A friend who is a retired general contractor rated the quality of the finished work as excellent. One piece of advice for anyone who selects white risers for the stairs, as I did - be clear who is responsible for painting them. Chris showed me pictures of completed jobs with white risers . . . and I failed to note when signing the contract that M&M would install "primed" risers, leaving me to do the painting. M&M took partial responsibility for the miscommunication and gave a reasonable rebate to defray the unexpected costs.

Terrible experience. They showed up for estimate, took a piece of the wood that they need to match and never heard from them since. We called them twice and everytime they say they will call us back and they never do.

Well it's not so much the refinishing of the floors, which they did excellent. It's that they really did clean up after themselves and made sure dust did not go all over the place as much as the could they contained it.

Work was completed as schedule, however quality control was non existing. The floors were sanded but none of the stained boards were replaced as promised. Additionally, the newel post and spindles were improperly reinstalled. This presented a safety issue, as a 9 month old baby ripped one of the spindles from the installed railing. Luckily this was on the bottom landing and the fail hazard was minimized. The salesman returned and looked at the floor and the improperly installed newel post and spindle and offered to provide us with a solution after he talked to the workmen who had completed the work. Weeks later (after we called to remind them) we received an estimate to resand the floors again and to fix the newel post and spindles. I asked that the newel post and spindle repair be removed from the estimate and fixed immediately. They were repaired as requested the next week. Since that time M and M has been uncooperative and the salesman has not returned our calls or visited to identify the exact boards to replace. The office staff requested a picture with tape on the stained boards so they could provide us with an estimate for replacing the boards. We did not accept this offer due to existing miscommunication. Additionally, M and M has not shown any consideration, when we point out the fact that the cost and inconvenience would have been minimized if their professional staff would have replaced the boards before staining the wood and applying the polyurethane. When questioned, they simply refer to their estimate and request a deposit to complete the work. M and M's standards have lowered since our previous experience in 2008. Had we known this, we would have given the floors a more detailed inspection before providing the final payment.

We had a few pet stains from our renters that we needed cleared up on our floors. When M&M came to do the estimate, we were told the stains were too engrained in the wood and we would need to replace the floorboards, which would in turn need to be sanded and stained, amounting to two days of work. We were thrilled when they came to do the work and discovered that the stains could actually just be sanded out. No replacement of the floorboards was required nor would we need a second day of work. Things started to go wrong, however, when I asked the main office if we'd be charged less for this simpler solution. I emailed the office and asked to speak with the man who originally gave us our estimate. The woman who replied to my email told me this wasn't possible, he was out in the field, etc. I said I'd wait. She came back and told me that he told her - because apparently there was enough time for him to talk to her - that this was the minimum they charged for this kind of work. So, that's that. I was disappointed in the least that I was being treated this way. I mean, all I was trying to get was an explanation from the person setting the price as to why the job originally cost one thing and nothing had changed with the actual work performed. If he had called me and explained their policy to me over the phone, as I had requested, then I would have felt at least that I had done my due diligence. Instead, I ended up just conceding the matter to them because I had other things to worry about. When I emailed the company to tell them to just charge my credit card, they did so but never replied. No "thank you for your business", no "thank you for understanding", no "thank you" at all! I was left to feel that by questioning the price, I was being unreasonable. What bugs me is that my experience with the work they performed was so positive, I would have used them again. But the customer service after the fact was so lacking that I now never will.

Excellent !!! All the people we worked with were (are) great. Al and AJ, the installers, were very professional, hard working, personable, and the quality of their work is excellent !! This is the 3rd time we've used M&M Floors in the past 10+ years, and are still VERY pleased with them.

M & M's crew arrived on time and were polite and friendly. They immediately got to work and all carpet in our basement was removed and replaced in a neat and quick manner. All materials and debris from the job were removed and the rooms were all vacuumed when the work was complete. All of our hardwood floors upstairs were sanded and refinished to look just like new. Caution was taken to cover any items that could be damaged by dust during the process. They look terrific and we were very impressed at how quick they were done. Everything that we discussed with Chris at the time of the estimate went as he said it would and the job was done on time and to our satisfaction. We liked everything about this company from start to finish and would definitely hire them again for any future jobs. Thank you to M & M for a great job.

We learned about M&M Floors Inc. via Angie's list. This company was one out of three companies we interviewed. Chris visited us in February 2015 and we scheduled a weather pending appointment for March 12, 2015. We hired Chris based on his reputation and fair offer. Chris and his office team helped watching the weather forecast to leave room for another company to apply a special sealant to our EPAY wooded deck. A crew of two men came out promptly as scheduled and sanded the agreed to parts of the deck down to bare wood. The other contractor, Seal it of VA, was extremely expressed about the workmanship of M&M Floors since the quality of the sanding was crucial for the sealing which is to last 8 years. The crew of the M&M Floors applied the same level or quality of work to the deck as they would do for inside floors. It is a pleasure to do business with a friendly, professional, responsive, proactive, and caring company. We received what we paid for. Quality work! Angie's List again was a valuable resource! They were very friendly and patient when helping pick out the stain. However, their attention to detail was only average. The

I had gotten a recommendation from a friend who had used them and was very pleased - several of my neighbors with same floors also have used them and recommend. Estimator arrived on time and gave me a virtual tutorial on my floors. He gave me a couple of options with easily understood observations on pros and cons of options. Workers (team of 2) arrived on time (actually 15 minutes early), did a thorough examination of the floors with me in advance, explained what they would do, how long it would take, need to turn up temperature in the house to aid drying, and how long drying would take. Work was finished earlier than predicted (took about 5-6 hours). The results are really beautiful. Couldn't be more pleased.

Although having the floors refinished was a tedious ordeal, Mand M Floors made it as painless as possible. They moved all the furniture, including the refrigerator, washer and dryer; covered all the kitchen cabinets with plastic, hung plastic sheeting between the open kitchen area and the family room, and to each opening into the foyer. Everyone had warned us of the dust that would accompany the sanding, but the machines they used were efficient, and the dust was minimal. When the floors were ready to be stained, they mixed the stain to match the original stain exactly. I cannot say enough about the professionalism of their workers. They were extremely polite, helpful, and did excellent work, especially Andrew and Steve.(All who came were excellent, but Andrew and Steve did most of the work.) The work was completed in the time estimated. We were thrilled with the appearance of our floors when they were finished. I highly recommend this company.

I wound up going with another contractor, who was doing other work at the house and able to perform the work in between other activities. The decision was one of logistics, not pricing or professionalism.

They did adding hardwoods into our kitchen area, and refinishing of the remainder of the upstairs and some floor installation. The price is great, they had probably five to six people came in. We were happy with the whole processes and working with Mand M Floors Inc. I would definitely give them a rate of A.

They were able to schedule the job between our tenants, which was great! I was very happy with their work and the end result.

I contacted three flooring companies that I pulled off of Angie's List and went with this provider because of Chris' professionalism, responsiveness, and pricing. He was great to work with and organized things to get them done quickly (we had a pipe freeze and burst). Chris and Mary were the most helpful as they were the main contacts with ordering, scheduling, and pricing. I am happy with the final work that was completed and love the Ridgecrest flooring that we selected. I had removed 240SF myself to allow for water damage specialists to dry out our walls, floor, and ceiling. The work crew of 3 guys showed up at 8:30 and had to run back to the shop to get hammer drills when they discovered how hard it was to pull up the flooring. After a couple of hours working they left at 1:30 for the day. This repeated the second day. They made progress on about 100SF a day with the removal. The third day I had to contact Chris because the guys were taking numerous smoking breaks and the one of the guys kept accepting personal phone calls. I would not have thought too much about this timetable but I had to have the glued down floors removed two years prior and three guys tore up all 650SF in three days, which far surpassed the speed of the three guys working this time. After the call however the guys kicked it into high geared and finished removing the floor that day. They were fairly quick in laying the new floor and were very careful in the process to ensure no damage was done to the final product. I would recommend Mand M floors because their work is good and they do take care for the final product. I was fortunate to be home during the process and do much of the work myself, which allowed me to keep things moving and make calls when things weren't moving quick enough.

it went well.. but they re finish stained was too light. The owner quickly provided options to fix it.. and when re done it was amazing.

They had a big crew on hand for most days, with 4-6 guys working at once, which helped get the project done quickly. They were happy to test out multiple wood stains and allowed us to take a day to decide on the stain while they sanded the other rooms. The cost of using them over other companies was slightly high, but we were very happy with the end result.

They could not have been better. They came promptly when scheduled, were courteous, and did a phenomenal job. I will use them in the future and would definitely recommend them. A great job!!!
