Always a pleasant experience to shop here, whether for a new lamp, repair, bulb replacement or custom shade replacement.

I had two lovely cloisonne ginger jars made into lamps twenty or so years ago in Hong Kong. Over the years they have gotten wobbly and unstable as interior fittings worked loose. I brought them to Lamp and Lighting Gallery for multiple repairs: tighten them back up, replace the original cords, install different switches, change the harps. I also wanted new shades. The folks at Lamp and Lighting Gallery were absolutely superb! They looked the lamps over carefully, suggested the best ways to repair them, and said they would have them done in a week. Three days later they called to say that the repairs were complete. When I picked the lamps up they spent considerable time advising me on the best shades for the size and shape of the lamps. Their prices were extremely reasonable and the service was stellar. I will certainly use them again!

They were very accommodating , extremely courteous and professional . Certainly their services were worth two 60 miles trips. From DC suburban Maryland to DC suburban Virginia.

Frank and his repairman provide outstanding, knowledgeable service and products. Their prices are very fair. In fact, for lamp repairs they are less than we expected to pay. They know lighting, all the fixtures and accessories. Because they repaired antique and old lamps for us, they made changes to bring them up to date. They were able to tell us wattage limits for these old lamps. (Note that they do not make cosmetic repairs to ceramic, glass or metal lamps. They explain the replacement parts they can provide and how those parts work compared to the original.) Their stock of lamp shades is very good and they know how to help you select shades. If you need a shade, bring your lamp so they can help you select a new one. Don't just guess by size or color; you need to see how the shade fits and works with the lamp. They also sell new lamps and lighting fixtures. They have an extensive selection of contemporary and traditional styles, and the products are top quality. Again, their prices are very reasonable and you know what you are getting.

I took the lamp to Lamp and Lighting Gallery on Saturday after reading the reviews in Angie's List. The gentleman told me he would have it ready Tuesday, 2 days later. I told him that was fine but I would not be available after Monday for about another 10 days, but would be happy to pick it up then. He then said he would have the lamp ready by Monday to accommodate my schedule! He called me Sunday before they even opened and told me my lamp was ready. He asked that I bring in the shade so he could ensure the new fitting worked properly. I went in Monday, and he had to spend another 10 minutes or so placing a new fitting so the shade would work properly - but he didn't charge any additional for this. I love finding these small, "one-off" places that focus on doing a good job and taking care of their customers. I will definitely be using their services again, even for purchasing lamps as well as repairs!

i emailed them a photo of the lamp and description of the problem. I got a prompt reply with an estimate. I took it to their shop the next day and they repaired it in a few minutes for the price they had quoted. I especially loved their punctuality and the fact that they paid attention to their email, which many places don't.

They were fast, one day; knowledgeable and reasonably priced. They came in under their estimate and were very pleased when I told them I got their name from Angie's List.

They fixed it just as they promised. No complaints. The other place said they no longer did that type of work. This place told us beforehand they would fix it and did so.Looks like it was before the accident.

My lamp was broken. I brought it in and they fixed it for less than the price they quoted me over the phone. It was done on the same day.

I had a very nice, very heavy, and very expensive halogen floor lamp that started flickering on me. When changing the bulb didn't solve the problem, I realized it must be something more serious. This lamp was much too nice to just throw away and replace, so I looked around for a store that could repair it, and selected Lamp and Lighting Gallery based on Angie's List reviews. I dropped the lamp off on a Saturday, and they called me a few days later to let me know what was wrong with the lamp (the transformer had gone out) and what it would cost to replace it. They were a bit apologetic about the price, but they explained that because the lamp is so solidly constructed, t is quite difficult to get to the transformer, so the repair required a fair amount of labor. Once I authorized the work, they had it fixed within a week or so. They took good care of the lamp, and I got it back with no scratches or damage. The lamp works fine now and seems as good as new. It can be difficult to find places that repair lamps - most people just want to throw them away and get new ones. I thought Lamp and Lighting Gallery was very friendly, professional, and thorough. They did a good job, and I would definitely use them again.

This company is fantastic! They are polite, knowledgable, and quick. I had my lamp back within two days. If every service experience were like this it would be a different world.

Oscar did the repairs and he is very helpful. They have a large selection and they offer a good price. Anything they don't have you can order by catalog. The repair was very reasonable. They also cleaned the ginger jar lamps so they looked like new. They were very prompt with the repair and I was very pleased.
