I simply can't say enough about Frank and his shop and team. My wife and I have been going to his store off and on for probably close to 20 years. We've bought multiple lamps and lighting equipment materials from him. He's repaired many of our older lamps. ALWAYS such friendly and professional experiences. We did a major bathroom and kitchen remodel and he provided guidance, expertise and a great price on lighting needs for that. One doesn't need lights/lamps every day, but over the years I keep coming back because he's so knowledgeable, helpful, friendly and it's just always a great experience. I have NEVER been disappointed and simply can't imagine anyone else being so, either. Thank you, Frank, for being such a great guy and having such a great shop! This shop is truly an "old fashioned" experience in service and the whole experience - you just don't see this kind of help very much these days, and definitely not in a "big box" store. This is a great, small shop (but don't let that fool you - he can get anything you need!) and I will ALWAYS come here for lighting needs.

Lamp & Lighting did a great job of rewiring an old chandelier. Work was done quickly at a reasonable price. The staff was knowledgeable and provided very helpful advise.

This company exceeds all expectations. Unfortunately I did not ask them for an installer and had my own electrician do the work - I am sure he damaged one of the parts but Frank, the owner has taken the responsibility of replacing it for me (twice) free of charge. He has been so helpful and has gone out of his way to make sure this is resolved - (and this was not his fault in any way.) I cannot recommend the company and its owner enough

I had purchased a Baldwin lamp at an estate sale but there was a large rip in the interior of the shade. That is probably why I was able to purchase the lamp for a much lower price than I had expected as the owner suspected that the buyer was going to have to purchase a new shade. The gentleman at the counter was fairly confident that the lining could be repaired but as a contingency he suggested I might want to select a color for a new shade in case the lining could not be repaired or replaced. That way I was not going to have to make a separate trip just to pick out a color. They were able to just replace the liner and it was quality workmanship. It appeared that they had also cleaned the shade because the shade looked like it had come off their showroom display. A positive experience in every aspect.

We have been steady customers of Lamp and Lighting Gallery in Fairfax. The store, located near Fairfax Circle, has a wide array of lamps and lights for every budget. We have found that Frank and his staff are most helpful in demonstrating various lamps and following through with expert packing and instructions. We appreciate the story policy that allows clients to take lamps home to make sure they fit with décor and lighting requirements.

I am totally satisfied with each and all of the repairs and fixes. Mostly that consistued of putting in new switches and rewiring, I also got new shades for several of them.

Pricing was very reasonable and service was lightening fast. Picked it up the next morning. We trusted the company so much that we bought two light fixtures from him a day later. Great find!!!

Frank listened carefully to what we wanted and expertly guided us to what he had in the showroom and also the relevant catalogue, marking the pages.Once we had chosen he pointed out pros and cons of the different ones. he was able to show us samples to ensure the correct colors. He could not do enough to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. He informed us promptly of availability and estimated time of arrival. He called us when they arrived and helped us fit them in the car. He matched all internet prices. I am delighted with everything. I would never consider buying lighting from anywhere else. What a find.

After finding out that the fix everything including rewiring lamps shop in Leesburg was no longer in business, I went to Angie's List to look for an alternative. While I wouldn't mind a trek up to Frederick, I opted to use Lamp and Lighting Gallery in Fairfax combining the trip with a lunch date at a restaurant I hadn't been to in years as well as other errands en route to and from Fairfax. To my delight, the owner I presume, told me that it would be ready that afternoon. We looked at options for cord colors and he talked about general notion of replacing with cord color close to color of whatever the lamp sits on so it is less obvious or blends better. I returned to the shop to pick up the lamp and so pleased to have found some place that still does this work. I didn't take the time to look at their lamps, but will certainly check them out when I need a lamp as it looked like a good selection. Definitely appreciated the quick turn around - Thank you!

This was an exemplary experience from start to finish. We called and received prompt accurate succinct information. We took the lamp in and were warmly treated. The work was performed as promised and ahead of schedule and at a price less than the estimate. We are planning to take another lamp to them soon.

One of the lamps, which is 60 years old, very heavy and yet very delicate, needed a new center support. That work required disassembling the lamp, which is constructed entirely of glass spheres that are wired together! Only an extraordinarily skilled person could have taken that lamp apart--one sphere at a time--and put it back together perfectly. Oscar is the gentleman who did that. He saved my grandparents' lamp, and I am so very grateful to him! A gentleman named Frank is the proprietor at the gallery, and he is just as affable as anyone can be. I've been a customer at this shop for years--even when I lived in D.C. From the quality of the merchandise to the reasonable prices (sometimes high, but never inappropriate), from the talented repair services to the cordiality of the proprietor and his staff, this is a first-class shop.

They were professional. They were good. They fixed it in a lot faster than I expected and a lot cheaper than I expected. Their store is very nice and clean.

They did not stock the relevant parts, but thought they might be able to fix it without replacing anything. They scraped some corrosion off an electrical contact (& showed me how to do the same) and the fixture worked! They charged nothing for the service. I then bought some light bulbs they had on sale at a great price.

The service went well. They understood exactly what I needed done. They completed the work promptly. We dropped the lamps off at their shop and picked them up at our convenience after they called to say they were ready. They were very nice and complimentary of the lamp I took in. The lamp was older and antique. I was very happy they were able to keep the lamp working. Their pricing was rather reasonable.

Wow! What a wonderful experience we had here. We wandered in after visiting a number of other lighting vendors, not knowing what we wanted exactly. We weren't expecting to find our answers but we were pleasantly surprised. Frank, the owner, stepped up and asked if he could help us. We were under a very tight timeline and needed a finish that wasn't readily stocked, but Frank wasn't deterred. He showed us his catalog, helped us pick just the right fixtures, and was able to supply them in record time!! We couldn't have been more impressed.

Helpful, set expectations and then met them. Courteous and nice people to work with. :) I would highly recommend them. I've been in their lamp & lighting storefront in the past, and they were very helpful with lighting ideas. I also noticed that they convert unusual objects into table lamps (e.g. teapots, musical instruments). When I was looking for someone to rewire my chandelier (needed the 18" wiring that came with the chandelier to be rewired to 9' for drop ceiling), I immediately thought of this store. Again, highly recommend them.

The retailer explained how fixtures we were looking at would be in our dining room. The discussion led us to delay our purchase until we were convinced the fixtures would be right for us. That day we bought about $10 of replacement bulbs instead of the much more expensive fixtures. A couple of weeks later, we selected one of the units we had looked at earlier after making sure it would look right in our dining room. In our view, the shop managers did not have to be so detailed about how the fixtures would fit if their only purpose was a sale. They caused us to rethink our purchase. For us, that is a sign of a place we want to return to whenever possible. They also suggested an excellent contractor to deal with the installment of the unit -- there were electrical problems in the original unit. The contractor was top-notch and very affordable.

I go there often, and they are very good.

It was a pleasant experience dealing with the personnel in this store.
