Assistance in selecting outside lighting was made much easier by the knowledge of the owner and the customer service was some of the best I've experienced here in Northern Virginia

Great products, great service. We had a defect in one arm of the fixture and he immediately swapped it out with a piece from the showroom so we didn't have to wait for a return. He gave me all the bulbs for free for the trouble of coming back to the store.

I am so glad that I found this provider on Angie's list, as most of the reviews were dead on correct. I had attempted to put a new socket in one of the lamps. BIG MISTAKE as these lamps "unscrewed" in several sections and when I put the new socket in, the lamp was just not right. The other lamp also was becoming loose. They cleaned and rewired the lamps. When I picked the lamps up, I wanted new lamp shades and they provided several options which included not only the shade, but adding an extender so that the shade would be at the correct height. They did the work quickly, were very professional and the only thing I regret is that I had not used them sooner than I did.

The owner was very friendly, professional and knowledgeable. He provided some history of the Stiffel lamp company and the quality and craftsmanship of these vintage lamps. It took about two weeks to complete the work which was the estimated time I was told it would take. When I picked up the lamps, an employee plugged them in to ensure they worked perfectly with a three-way switch. The workmanship on recovering the shades was also excellent. Both lamps look brand new! I would definitely use their services again.

Very knowledgeable staff. --Nice to deal with an independent local retailer instead of waiting for help at a "big box" store. This store handles lighting products in every price range.

Looked them up on Angies list and took the lamp in. Very nice reception, a quick diagnosis of what was wrong as well as an estimate of the cost were all provided as soon as I arrived. The lamp was ready in a couple of days and the price was $6 below the estimate. It is nice to have a pair of working lamps again.

I was very impressed with Lamp and Lighting Gallery. They were very professional, providing an estimate on the spot. I dropped off the lamp and picked it up the next day, The store also sells lamps and accessories: I purchased several high quality lamp shades at an excellent price. Since that time, I have used their services on many occasions and have recommended them to many people.

It was a fine visit and sale. We had visited two lighting stores previously and found, in one case that they apparently not interested in sales to home owners or, in the second case, that they were not knowledgeable about the products. Lamp and Lighting personnel discussed our needs, advised us on available fixtures and lighting possibilities, and special ordered out selection. They were courteous and helpful throughout the process.

We had a couple of antique lamps that we had inherited from various relatives, and there were very much in need of repair. The sockets were probably from the 1920s or 1930s, and the cords were downright hazardous. So, we took them in, and the lamps came back perfectly refurbished and functional.They even allowed us to choose cord colors that best matched the style and colors of the lamps. Very satisfied overall. And, even though it was expensive, we feel reassured it was done well and will not electrocute us or pose a fire hazard.

The service at this shop is wonderful. They carefully examined the lamps, were very clear about the options, seemed extremely knowledgeable and honest, very polite....just plain interested in giving great service. On top of all this, when the owner heard I had come to his shop from Maryland, he made the repair immediately so that I would not have to drive back to pick up the lamps. He even directed me to a supermarket so that I could do a little grocery shopping while he made the repair. The experience was entirely satisfactory and I cannot recommend the shop more highly.

Excellent! We dealt with Frank the owner & were extremely pleased with his superb customer service. He really helped guide us to exactly what we needed & spent a lot of time with us to make sure we got the right sized fans & lightening. I wish every store had the same excellent customer service we got here. His prices are higher than Home Depot but the quality of fans &lights are much better & his customer service was far above anything at Home Depot. We would never have received the time & attention in Home that Frank gave us. Sometimes it's worth paying more truly excellent service. We are extremely happy with the quality of fans & in dealing with this store. We highly recommend this store. We will definitely be returning to buy other products there.

While there was a miscommunication on calls, the end result was fabulous. I didn't want to throw away my lamp -- it is beautiful to me and has individual etched panels surrounding 3 light bulbs. I took it to the Lamp and Lighting Gallery and for what I considered an extremely reasonable price, it was fixed perfectly. The people were warm and friendly.

A European lamp had been malfunctioning. It was thoroughly examined and no faults were found, but they suggested the type of light bulb being used may have been the problem. After changing the bulb type, it has been working well ever since. very courteous service and no charge was made.

They modified the lamp within two business days! They advised me the type of bulbs to use and that the bulb sizes are different in Europe which I did not know. The lamp works beautifully and I highly recommend them!

Looked up this repair place on Angie's list. Was pleased with reviews; took to the store for drop-off; they called us back with a quote, which we approved, and then they fixed it. See above for results description. Service was worth the substantial drive from Washington, DC.

I took a Pottery Barn torchiere lamp in for repair. I received an estimate within one day and the repair was complete within 2 days ? earlier than expected. And although the lamp required extensive rewiring ? a service that had not been included on the estimate ? I was not charged for the additional work. The service was excellent, the staff very helpful and friendly. I would highly recommend this company for repair and lighting needs.

I didn't end up going through with this project but I really appreciated their responsiveness and assistance.

This was an excellent experience in every respect. The people we dealt with at the store were extremely courteous and professional. They did excellent work on our lamps for a very reasonable price. We will definitely use them again if the need arises-- it was well worth the drive from DC to benefit from their well-priced excellent service -- and we're happy to recommend them without reservation to other Angie's List subscribers. We went to the store for lamp repair, but it's worth mentioning that they have a good inventory of lovely lamps for sale in their store, and the store is very conveniently located in a smallish mall with ample parking available, which is an added plus in their favor.
