Rob arrived on time and got right to work; asking me to describe the problem - one at a time. He showed me how the kitchen faucet had not been correctly installed (by a contractor) and showed me why it wasn't working correctly. He gave us the option of fixing or simply installing a new faucet. We chose the latter. He worked quickly, spread dropcloths and was very neat. Rob quickly determined the poor flow to the shower was caused by accumulated mineral deposits. He cleaned it out and put the shower head back. Problem solved.

I called on Sunday to get an estimate and was contacted on Monday by Rob. I told him that my upstairs tub was leaking when the water reached the overflow. He described several possible causes and told me that the cost for service is time and materials, and the rate is $95 for the first half hour, and $30 for each additional quarter hour. I was able to schedule him to come the next day at 8:30. He arrived on time and went to the upstairs bathroom. He took off the cover on the overflow drain and checked the the gasket was corroded. He also checked the gasket in the drain and the seals behind the faucet and the water handle. He cleaned the gasket in the drain and replaced the gasket in the overflow. He also found that there were no seals around the faucet and handle so he used a silicon caulk to seal the areas where water can get behind the wall. He filled the tub to the overflow drain and confirmed there was no more leak. He also noticed another problem with the tub. There are apparently no supports for the tub so when it's full of water the bottom sinks and pulls the edges away from the wall creating a gap water can get down. He told me that I should get someone to repair the caulking around the tub, but I should specifically use a silicon caulk because it will stretch and maintain a seal. He gave me a lot of helpful advice on how I can avoid problems in the future. It took 1 hour start to finish. The total was $165.0, $155 for the time and $10.50 for the materials.
