Excellent experience. Rick the technician was extremely competent, informative, and friendly. Highly recommend both FJ Hooks and Rick.

Service carried out by Rick. A pleasant experience with the why's and wherefore's patiently explained. Invoice didn't break down labor hours vs material charges which would have helped me understand a somewhat higher total price than expected. However I will use the company again and would recommend the same to friends.

On time ? worked clean ? fast efficient. (negative) Worker said did not permit to install heater ? wrong, inspector found small problem which Hooks immediately correct (same day). Worker said he didn't know inspector required! (Management Problem).

Very well – no issues discussed practical solutions for faucet leak! ultimately decided not to fix it.

Rick’s office assistant called early in the a. M. to see if he would come earlier than the appointment which was fine. He arrived promptly, pleasant as usual, did the job quickly & efficiently and left. I have used him for several years.

We had a mysterious leak outside a bathroom, at the edge of our house, in our basement. We feared the worst! Pipe burst behind a tile wall? Foundation leak? We called several companies and another was the first available. Their plumber charged us $150 to say "I don't know." F.J. Hooks' first availability was six days later, but we went with them on the recommendation of a neighbor. My (very, very) small complaint is that I would have appreciated a confirmation call given the gap between when I called and the scheduled service (they called that morning to confirm my street address, which they had wrong). But the wait was worth it! The plumber (Rick?) diagnosed what turned out to be a SIMPLE caulking problem in less than 10 minutes. While sometimes (especially as a woman) I feel patronized during service calls, he was very courteous, professional, and respectful of my concerns the whole time. Granted, it was a call that ended in good news, but it was one of the more pleasant service calls I've had in a while. I was so relieved that I forgot to ask the price, but they will be billing me for a 30 minute service call. I will amend my review to reflect the cost when I receive the bill.

I hired FJ Hooks Plumbing to move some exposed water supply and drain lines so that I could hide them inside the wall. They arrived right on time for both appointments (one for the estimate and the other for the actual work). They were professional, courteous and did excellent work. The man who performed the work was respectful of my home by laying down drop clothes and cleaning up during and afterwards. He also provided helpful advice for when I reinstall the laundry sink. I am completely happy with the service they provided and would hire again if needed.

Contacted several plumbing companies for a quote to install a garbage disposal and kitchen faucet. Of the 4-companies that I contacted, F.J. Hooks provided a price quote for each installation. I scheduled the appointment and the plumber installed both items. The plumber, Rick, was a very professional and a skilled plumber. He provided excellent service and installation was top notch. I also appreciated that he was punctual and very neat. I received the invoice and the price was very fair, and even included a discount so the price was less than the original quote. Also, Debbie in the office was friendly and provided excellent customer service. She was knowledgeable and able to answer all of my questions. I would recommend the company and would certainly use them again if the need arises.

I have been using FK Hooks for over 2 decades. They always do great work, and Rick gets along great with dogs!

Everything went great. I had a leaky pipe that was damaging a small area of my basement ceiling. I called FJ Hooks to schedule a repair, thinking it would take some time for an appointment to get scheduled since they have such positive reviews on Angies List. They worked me into the schedule at 8am the next morning! Jesus arrived, cut out a small spot in the ceiling where the pipe was leaking, and repaired the leak. I also had Jesus look at a bathroom faucet that was getting difficult to turn off, and he quickly told me the cartridge needed to be replaced. After he gave me the price for the cartridge, I agreed to having him install it. He was done with both jobs in a little less than an hour. The total cost was $163.00 for labor and all materials (reflects Angies List discount). Very reasonable I think. I plan to use FJ Hooks for future plumbing needs.

Plumbers arrives is minutes late. They were very professional, prompt with the work.

Had a garbage disposal break down and leak. I called a few companies and didn't initially go with FJ Hooks since their hours were limited and are booked a week out. The other company provided a free estimate, but then also proceeded to look around for other work that may or may not have been needed. I was given what I thought was a very high price for replacing the disposal and they also recommended replacing the water heater since it as near it's life span. I'm glad I said no and called FJ Hooks to wait the week. The garbage disposal was replaced very competently and the plumber was glad to give us recommendations on why the smaller horsepower one similar to the original would be better than the higher horsepower one I also provided from Costco. He also looked at the water heater and said that there was no need to replace it at the current time, although it was near the end of it's life span and to keep an eye on it. The total price paid was over $100 less than the free estimate (they gave me 10% off as an Angie's list customer) and no upsell! An honest company that I will not hesitate to use again for my plumbing needs (unfortunately the last one I liked got bought out by a huge company and the plumber we like and trusted didn't go along).

Plumber arrived on time, protected my floors with covers for his shoes, troubleshot a leak that had come through to my ceiling on the floor below. He fixed the leak quickly and professionally. I have some other plumbing needs in my house and will definitely be using them in the future.

Hooks plumbing first sent a plumber to evaluate the installation area under my sink and to review my system's applicability. Everything checked out and a date was scheduled for the job. The install went beautifully and I am very satisfied.

I was very happy when the plumber was able to fix the leak a whole day earlier that first told! I appreciate that I was kept in mind when an opening in the schedule came up. Plumber was experienced and thorough! Great job! Great service!

The technician (Rick) arrived within the time period scheduled. He repaired the fill valve, flapper and supply in the toilet. He had the parts onhand and finished the job in about 20 minutes. He was courteous and answered any questions I had. I have used Hooks before for replacement of my hot water heater and and I would use them again for my plumbing needs.

I found F J Hooks here on Angie's List. I chose them to do a plumbing inspection that our HOA requires every other year, and to install a new kitchen faucet that I purchased. Debbie helped me get these services scheduled. She was fantastic, put a great face on the company, and made me feel like I had made the right choice of service providers. Rick, who came to take care of the service call, was prompt, professional, friendly, and got all of the work done in about an hour. I won't ever call anyone else when I need the services of a plumbing company. I love the fact that they're a family business, and that they're locally-based.
