They did a good job. They were responsive, punctual, and professional. The price was good.

Not a good experience. F.J. Hooks was disorganized and unreliable. We contacted F.J. Hooks to provide an estimate on converting our house to natural gas. Initial phone call with Debbie went great: appointment made, no problems. Two weeks later, at 10:30 AM on the morning of the appointment day, Debbie calls to ask what the appointment is for. We explain, again, that we want to get an estimate to convert the house to gas. She says ok, and confirms the appointment time of 1:30 PM. Appointment time rolls around (only 3 hours after F.J. Hooks confirmed the appt.), and nobody arrives. Forty-five minutes after the appointment time, Debbie calls and explains that the estimator forgot about the appointment (really?!? we just confirmed with you *this morning*!) and asks if we like to schedule another one. We declined. This was a sufficient demonstration of their customer service for us to know we won't be working with them.

I called for a quote and someone came out the next day. He looked at the existing water lines in the basement and sugested separate cut offs for each spigot. I didn't even bother with another quote. The job was scheduled for the following week. The crew was on time, got it done quickly with no mess or fuss. Everyone was polte and they did a good job. I now have a water supply in the backyard and do not have to lug the hose all around from the side of the house.

The options were to remove part of the house siding and underlying wallboard to possibly access the broken water pipe, or to install a new line and faucet in a more accessable location near the original one. The first plumber I contacted said I should hire a siding contractor to remove the house siding and then he would attempt to repair the line. F. J. Hooks' repairman immediately indicated that the best course of action would be to install a new line with good access from within the basement. This assessment was the one I thought was best. Work was done quickly and efficiently, and I am extremely pleased with the work. The only unusual aspect of this company is that they resused to provide an estimate for the work, citing it was a "time and materiel" job which could only be priced upon completion of the work. Since I needed the work done, I agreed and subsequently found the price to be reasonable. They also give a senior citizen and military discount.

They came the next day and fixed the problem. The price was fair and the work done quickly. I would recommend them to anyone.

First, I was amazed the plumber showed up early for a 7:30 am appointment. I haven't experienced that before. Rick got right on the job. Sized up the problems and was out the door within half an hour. He was courteous and proficient. I would absolutely hire this company again.

I called and the company sent out a plumber the next morning; he arrived exactly when they said he would, and he expertly fixed the problem. Best part was that he never appeared hurried, didn't try to cut my conversation short, gave me some excellent advice about plumbing issues.

The company was responsive on the initial phone contact and scheduled the work for a Tuesday but did not show up. I placed a call to their office and did not receive a response to my message about the no show. On Wednesday, while I was at work I received a call from my wife that two gentlemen from Hooks were there to do the repairs and I told her to tell them to go ahead. The repair men were unable to give an estimate because they did not know how long it would take and the pricing for the valve would have to come from the office when they determined which replacement valve was required. She had them complete the work. They did an excellent job and cleaned up the work area. When we received the bill a week later, the price for the work was within $15 of my estimate of what it should cost.

They answered my first phone call and set up an appointment with me in 4 days. He arrived on time. He had a little trouble removing my old faucets as the threads had corroded with time. Total time was about 1 1/2 hours including trip to get new trap. He was friendly and professional. He did not leave a mess.

Very efficient and knowledgeable. The kitchen work was pretty standard, but the tub faucet was old and took skill and experience to repair it.

Very prompt response and they were able to do the job the next day. We were hauling water out in buckets, so that was a relief! Professional well done installation at a fair price.

Scheduled appointment promptly, called to come earlier when they had a cancellation. Showed up on time, completed the work, gave advice on another unrelated plumbing problem. Charge was reasonable, a pleasant surprise.

This company was very responsive. They provided us with a detailed verbal estimate which we found to be competitive. Once the job was scheduled, all changes were communicated in a satisfactory manner. The cost of the job was not a surprise to us and within our expectations.

I called, received an email, and left a message with my contact info. Within 15 minutes I received a call back. They scheduled me for first thing in the morning (7am) the following day which was a great time as I had work meetings later in the morning. (Be prepared to tell them exactly the problem and what type/brand of faucet/sink that you have. That's how they have the spare parts handy.) The plumber arrived promptly the next morning as scheduled and was very fast and efficient; he was here probably for a total of 40-45 minutes. He showed me what was wrong with each of the problem-spots (some cartridges or something or other needed to be replaced) and was able to replace them (see my earlier note about telling them the problem and the brands.) I was AMAZED at the very professional, friendly, fast, and efficient service. The odd thing was that he did not issue me a bill when he was finished;instead, a bill was mailed to me and I sent them a check. It was fair and reasonable.

Non-responsive to request for work to be done.

The plumber arrived on time and speedily corrected the leak. Two days later, the problem re-occurred. The plumber returned the next day and performed more extensive repairs. To date, there has been no additional charge, even though additional parts were required. Initial rate is $85 per first 30 minutes. The total time spent effecting the repair did not meet the initial 30 minute limit.

THEY WERE GREAT. THEY CAME QUICKLY BECAUSE I HAD A LEAK. THEY ARE VERY PROFESSIONAL AND GOOD AT THEIR JOB. THEY SOLVED SOME PROBLEMS OTHER PLUMBERS COULD NOT SOLVE. IT IS A FAMILY BUSINESS AND I WAS COMPLETELY SATISFIED.
