Ovidio was a pleasure to work with and he and his team did an excellent job from start to finish. His estimates came in lower than competitors and he completed the job quickly and as promised. We had a tricky stump removal due to future hardscaping plans and Ovidio was extremely knowledgeable and thorough. He is definitely now our "tree guy" and I will call him for any future needs.

Thank goodness, I feel like we hired a company that was honest! Ovidio, the owner, was so kind and really looked out for us. We had a few companies come out last November to give estimates. Economy Tree company gave us the impression that they were comfortable with the job and knew what they were doing. Plus, their estimate was $450 lower than the other company. I was a little nervous about hiring a company that was the lower bidder, but I looked over the countless reviews on Angie's List and decided to take the risk. We decided to do the work in the summer and Ovidio came back out to our house to talk about doing more extensive work as we were just nervous about the work. He was patient and took the time to make us feel better. We were nervous mostly because of the trees being so close to our homes and our neighbors homes. Ovidio reassured us that he never had an issue with damaging homes while removing trees. So, we scheduled two weeks later. We are so glad that we hired Economy Tree Service. Even though I am so busy, I wanted to make sure that I wrote this review before I forgot. We were so impressed with the work that they were doing, we chose to have them remove more trees at the last minute. Ovidio worked with us quickly to estimate the additional cost to remove additional trees and limbs. He could have taken advantage of us, but he didn't. He was concerned with making sure that we were paying a fair price. This is a good company. They deserve the good reviews that they get and the work that comes with it. :-)

Real well. They used a machinery that was operated by a remote control! The job was done in no time (about 45 minutes)

They were very responsive. Got a quote a few days after an inquiry from angies list. A week later the trees were gone! They were very competitive in their bid and everything went smoothly. I would definitely use them again.

Economy Tree Care did this work for my son (Richard Durand) in Falls Church, on my recommendation of them as a provider from Angie's List. They had good communications (email and telephone) and my son reported that they were very professional, well equipped and worked very hard to accomplish the work objective. The work was completed on two different days over a one and a half week period. The first job date took care of the removal of all the trees. That came back a week and a half later and ground all of the stumps down. My son said he would definitely use them again, and would recommend them to others for large tree work jobs (they have a bucket truck) to small jobs, including pruning and shaping.

Economy Tree Care came out on the first day, removed the tree and trimmed the bushes. Several weeks later, they came back out and removed the stump. All in all, they did a fantastic job and I would hire them again.

Economy came out when promised and was very efficient in performing all the tree trimming, removal and clean up. The cost was a bit higher than another bid, but two factors swayed us toward Economy. First, we've worked with them before and they've always been so responsive and timely, doing great work. Second, it was very clear that they understood exactly what we wanted done in terms of trimming the tree over our house. This wasn't necessarily the case with the other lower priced offer.

Called for an estimate, asking that we be scheduled so that we could describe the work to be performed. Economy Tree Care never called back. Left voicemail. Didn't call back. Finally after 9 days I reached the rude person answering the phone who informed me that it would be 3-4 weeks before someone could get out and that I should go with another company. On that we agreed. I suggested a phone call informing us of that delay would have been helpful. She was not impressed with that logic. I stated I would rate them poorly on Angie's List and she stated "go ahead." Glad others found their service so good -- our experience was just the opposite and I would certainly not recommend them to anyone.

This is a great company! They care about your safety, your trees, and do beautiful work. Also, Mr. Baten's response and help in an emergency was wonderful!

They arrived exactly as promised and were very efficient and professional. Some minor damage was done to our fence in bringing down a tree (our yard is heavily wooded) and they fixed it right away. Their estimate was considerably less than the other 2 companies and we couldn't be more pleased with the work they did.

I was contacted right away and an appointment was set up for an appraisal. The estimator was as concerned about our budget as we were since there was a lot of work to be done. He made a couple of suggestions as to how to keep the cost down and gave us a written estimate. (we had already recieved 2 estimates from other companies) After we accepted their offer, a crew came by 2 days later to start the work. They were swift and efficient, courteous and professional. It was a 2 day job and they cleaned and shredded all debri before they left the first day, so there was no overnight mess. I would highly recommend this company and will definitely use them again!

Ovidio came out for an estimate the day after we called, and only a few days after the derecho storm. He was a pleasure to deal with, and scheduled us for the following week since we had a large tree leaning on our fence and another tree in our yard. When other companies indicated it would take at least one to two weeks before they could even schedule us, Ovidio scheduled us right away. His crew was excellent and completed a very difficult project in one day. Overall, it was an outstanding experience, and I will be recommending them to anyone who needs tree services in the future.

We had an excellent experience with Economy Tree Care. We had a no pressure quote and the services were rendered in a timely manner. They completed the tree removal and trimming in one day, but did not get to the stump removal because their equipment needed repair. They did not ask for payment until the job was completed, so everything went well.

Providing outstanding customer service when the work goes as planned is commendable; providing outstanding service when mishaps arise and need to be addressed is superlative. Economy Tree Care is such a superlative company. Obtaining an estimate and scheduling the work went well. Angelica and Ovidio Baten were polite, professional and pleasant to work with throughout my interaction with their company. On December 2, 2011, the tree work took place. Ovidio and his crew worked hard to remove the limbs and cut them up. During the crew's cleanup, I noticed that there were a number of twigs still scattered over the yard, which was covered with leaves, so I started picking them up. The next thing I saw was one of the crew using a leaf blower to collect all the leaves and twigs in a corner of the backyard. When the crew finished cleaning up, I paid Ovidio for the job and thought everything was fine. After everyone left, I went over to my garden shed to see if there were any more twigs alongside or behind the building that needed to be cleaned up. It was at that time I noticed a number of the roof shingles along the edge closest to the osage orange had damage. I then recalled I had noticed one of the crew pulling repeatedly on a large cut limb to get it through the space between the shed and the fence. Apparently this action (or similar ones) caused the damage. I only observed the work sporadically. I contacted Angelica and she said she would let Ovidio know and schedule a time when he could come out and look at it. Once he looked at it, he agreed that his company would repair it. However, there was a complication ? the shingle color was discontinued and I didn?t have any extra shingles and neither did the out-of-town company who built the shed nor the store where that company purchased them. (It took several weeks and a number of phone calls to confirm this.) Ovidio ended up special-ordering a package of the shingles -- at no charge to me. When the shingles came in, the repair was scheduled and Ovidio's roof specialist completed the work. Not until the repair to the shed roof was made on February 23, 2012, and I was satisfied, did Ovidio deposit the check I gave him in December. My experience showed Economy Tree Care to be a top quality company and I would highly recommend them.

Economy Tree Care, Inc has came to my home twice for services. They did most of the work the first visit. They recommended cutting the tree back in colder weather so that is why they came back for a second visit. They were prompt and reliable. They did the work when they said they would and I thought they did a good job. I received estimates from a few companies and they were the lowest so I decided to use them.

Ovidio is a total gentleman and a pleasure to work with. His office manager is a pleasure - very responsive and easy to schedule estimates and the actual work. She sends quotes and contracts via email, which I appreciate. She's also on the ball in coordinating with Miss Utility when necessary. Ovidio and his crew show up when they say they will and - on one occasion - even came early when a local job wrapped up faster than envisioned! They work safely and clean up when they're done. The only tree care company I'll ever use!

The job went very well and they were very professional. My neighbor recommended them to me and they were very cost effective. I would absolutely use them again if I had to.

They were fast, nice and their quote was a really good price.

Economy Tree was great and vey responsive. I called for an estimate and they came out the next day. It took me about 3 weeks to finally sign the contract, but once signed they scheduled the work for 10 days later. Happily, they had an opening three days prior to our originally scheduled date and they were able to come out early. We didn't need to be home for the project, which meant we arrived home from work on Friday with the tree removed and our yard perfectly cleaned.

They are very honest. He will tell us when a good or bad time in the season is to do work on the trees. They are very good and we have been very happy with their work.

The overall experience was great. The company stayed in contact with me throughout the entire process. The estimate was timely and provided a menu of options that I could select based upon my budget. Once I signed the contract, the work was quickly performed and done exactly how I expected. I would definitely use Economy Tree Care for future projects.

I scheduled an estimate and was contacted by the estimator once he had visited the property. He gave me a good analysis of the tree situation and offered to tell me the estimate over the phone or have it sent to me. I requested that it be sent because I was having a difficult time hearing him over the phone. I expected something in the mail but never received anything so I contacted their office. Eventually, they e-mailed me a PDF of the estimate. I approved and sent it back. I was told over the phone that they would let me know when they were available to trim my trees. Not long after I got a call that they were in my area wanted to swing by and do the job. I was home, fortunately, so I agreed. They were fine to work with and the work was good. Thanks. Also, they only take checks, which I would have known if I had paid better attention to their Angie's List page.

We were at work when the work was performed. However, when we did get home around 6pm, we noticed the tree was gone and a little wood shavings in the yard and a few spots of wood dust/debris in the driveway which was to be expected. It's a good thing we did pull all way in the driveway because after my husband swept up the remaining wood/debris, he found a 2/12 screw in the driveway. He wasn't very happy. My grade is really an -A because his vehicle has run flat tires. Cost a $100 to repair and much more to replace. Other than that, I would have given them an A.
