Website was easy to use especially the messaging function. Domantas was super helpful and quickly answered all my questions. The crew was on time, professional, and worked extremely hard throughout the process. They completed my 2 bedroom apartment move in 5 hours.

Excellent!!! Quick and efficient with no damaged items. Items that we had planned on just taking ourselves, they said, “we’ll get it!” Before I knew it the entire place was on the truck. I would definitely recommend this company.

Terribly. I want to give them a negative 1000 star. I told them that I am moving from VA to MD on the third floor condo. The intaker told me $130 an hour and when I asked about any additional charges, he said "no." I even told him that there might be even 3 fridges 2 china closet etc. if we can't give them out to our neighbors that we will donate to goodwill. I made the deposit of $50. When we were moving and they have so many additional fees such as moving it up to the third floor condo, carrying heavy furniture, and wrapping. Yes those are valid costs but the person who picked up and got my deposit over the phone said a definite "no" saying that there are no additional fees whatsoever. But now they are charging for third floor move, for the heavy furnitures over 300 pounds, and wrapping. When I called about the issue, the same intaker said it is not their fault because we didn't read their policy on their website. But I was recommended this party by a third party site and gave them a call. I accepted the condition the intaker gave me over the phone which was 130 an hour with no additional charge. First, the furnitures are not three hundred pounds. The big furnitures divide into two or three parts so they cannot be three hundred pounds. Second, I entered into a contract on the phone with whatever the intaker told me for the deposit. The intaker told me to call the driver Juan and I called him. On the phone, the driver cursed at me when I mentioned that terms were not what I agreed to. He shouted that he was going to leave everything on the first floor. Then I complained that that is not fair because we told the intake person that it was on the third floor and they are not fulfilling their part of the contract. He hung up. When I called the intaker about the issue, we reluctantly said okay to the additional $150 for the "big furnitures." We smelled alcohol on them and they are delaying their work, playing around. We are not satisfied with how they did not take responsibility of the intaker's mistake, how the driver handled the situation, how the intaker handled the situation, what notes were given to the movers, and how we could smell alcohol on them. They gave a bill of over $1000. It said they took a 15 minute break and a travel time from their company to us and back as 1 hour 30 minutes. They tried to scam us but we caught it in time. They did not show up at our new place for over 40 minutes. So we called the same intaker who said that the travel time is 1 hour across the board so he didn't understand why the driver put 1 hour 30 minutes. When I told him about the 40 minute break he told me that he has to talk to the movers and can't change anything on the bill. He told me to talk to the driver. I told him let's do a conference call because the driver will likely not curse at me or act rudely if the intaker is on the phone with me. He then reluctantly changed the 1 hour 30 to 1 hour travel time and wanted to put the bill as 30 minute break instead of the 40 because that's the policy: max of 30 minutes. I told him that's not fair as they didn't do their time and took a break. He reluctantly changed it to subtract the forty minutes. But hey guess what? Even though they wrapped everything, the furnitures were dented, scratched and peeled. They broke our stand. They were throwing boxes with glass that was written in red "fragile." Guess what happened? Our china and glasswares broke. What a good deal for just under $1,000 right?

My wife and I recently moved a few miles out to the suburbs, and Different Movers made it unbelievably easy. I would 100% go with them again. Our three-man crew arrived in perfect timing and were friendly, thorough, and efficient—true professionals in every sense of the word. The price was way better than I expected, too. This was actually the first time I hired movers, and Different Movers made me wish I had started earlier.

Can't say enough good things about hiring Different Movers to pack my studio apartment into an 8x8x7 POD. Two movers arrived well within the stated time frame and diligently got to work. They worked quickly, carefully and efficiently to fit everything into my POD. Their ability to play tetris and get all my furniture and boxes into the pod with room to spare blew my mind. They completed the task within two hours and the price estimate. Worth every penny.

Honestly amazing, not much more to say than 5 stars service. They came in and were very efficient. They didn't want to waste both their time and our time, so it was greatly appreciated. I recommend this company to anyone looking for a simple move with a friendly crew.

I called to inquire about services. Issue #1: I quoted the price that was being shown online but the individual that I spoke with stated that those prices shown were the Winter prices and the rate for October was $10 higher. When asked when the Winter prices go into effect, he replied in December. You might want to update your website to reflect this. Issue #2: I inquired about having 3 people to assist with relocating from a 1 bedroom apartment to another 1 bedroom apartment in the same building and he stated that the rate would be $130/hr with a minimum of 3 hours plus an hour for travel. Ummm, no way! I reminded him that I just needed the people for about an hour and didn't have a need for a truck but he said that the rate was the same. I find this to be foolish and because of such, they will not be getting my business. All in all, shop around!

This was the first time hiring movers and after using Different Movers, I cannot recommend them enough! I moved during COVID and they completed the move in the Texas heat wearing masks the entire time. They worked fast and were friendly, careful and super professional. Prices were reasonable and all of my belonging made it to my new apartment without a scratch. Kudos!

Professional and on-time moving. I hired them to move a four bedroom house with a full packing plus baby grand piano. Movers were very considerate of the furniture, and all of my belongings arrived safely with no scratches. Highly recommend them!

THE GOOD: Initially, the staff (including owner) is personable in getting the estimate accurate quickly with a timely turn-around to scheduling the move. They were available to readily address any criteria and concerns. Their website interface is fairly intuitive and allows the company and client to be clear on the expectations of what needs to be moved, with a near real-time pricing index made available to get after the estimate total cost of the move. THE BAD: The company scheduled me for a certain time and then showed up three (3) hours late. This is unprofessional and inappropriate within the scope of the agreement--especially since I was the one that had to request coordinating on the what/when/why of the delay. What was earlier a timely exchange of inputs turned into long waits for response. Nobody from the company provided follow-up until I initiated on the delay, as the message traffic shows. I ended up having to push all of my appointments right to the next day due to the delay as well as make moves with both locations management staffs to accommodate the unexpected schedule changes. The movers attempted to charge me an extra hour due to their poor-planning and execution (which apparently required a fourth body they didn't plan for)--I disagreed citing all the reasons above. I was still charged more than the upper-end of estimate of $1,118.26, though it wasn't the egregious amount cited in the aftermath of the botched move. The packing was less-than-optimal and the transport of my household goods resulted in damage to several pieces of furniture (which remained unclaimed because I ended up having to go out of town unexpectedly and couldn't follow-up within the timeframe noted in fine print). Lastly, if I hadn't helped to pack/move some of the items myself after-the-fact, not all of my goods would have made it to the home. This resulted in a rental charge for a SUV to move the remaining items--all because of bad time-management on their part. The mover lead offered to help the next day for a fee, but I was already tired and disillusioned with the company and did not intend to hire anyone associated with it further.

Moved from an apt to a single family home, so I needed one crew to get our stuff from a large storage unit and one to move the apt. Two trucks, 4 guys, and it was a great experience. They were extremely polite and hard working, and took great care of my furniture/belongings. Def would use them again!

From start to finish Different Movers did a fantastic job. Although the move was local everything was packed as if the move was intercontinental. Having moved over twenty times I have some experience with these things. Not a single item was damaged. Team arrived on time and worked nonstop until the job was finished 10 hours later. Move involved packing and loading at one address, off-loading at another, reloading new items at that address and off-loading at a storage facility. Different Movers responded immediately to my request for quote via Angie’s List and continued to be responsive as I made adjustments to the move. Their online planning tool is also quite helpful. Final billing was consistent with estimates. Courteous and professional, I couldn’t recommend them more strongly.

Great job! They were able to work us in their schedule despite the last minute request on our part. The crew led by Carlos were professional and very friendly as well. Overall - fast scheduling, efficient move, and affordable pricing. Will definitely use again.
