It went very well, did the whole job in one day and there skill was amazing when they installed up to a fireplace. Also they did stick built steps for me. We are very happy about the work and are using them again.

This provider was fantastic to work with. They are a family run business, were very responsive through Angie's List, and they seemed to honestly want to earn our business. They arrived promptly for the estimate and listened closely to us. The used a laser to measure each room and drew a very detailed floor plan by hand. We had to visit their carpet showroom as the three carpet samples they brought were of entry level quality. We visited the showroom and were greeted by two friendly employees who obviously had a lot of experience and knowledge. We discussed the different types of carpet and took home a couple samples. I returned several days later on a Sunday and requested a quote for a higher grade Shaw carpet.. I mentioned a quote from one of their competitors. Clawes researched the carpet quoted by their competitor, confirmed it was of like-quality to the Shaw carpet we selected, and committed to beating their competitor's price. Their final quote was roughly $500 cheaper than their competitor's. Clawes ordered the carpet, which arrived to their warehouse in less than a week. They pre-cut the carpet in their warehouse to the dimensions listed in their detail floor plan. I liked this approach as it meant they would not be cutting carpet in my driveway or yard. We moved all of our small knickknacks into our basement prior to the installation date. A team of four arrived on time to install the carpet, led by an experienced installer who has been with Clawes for over 10 years. They first laid padding over our wood floors to protect the wood from any damage. They started upstairs, moving all of the furniture as necessary including disaccembly of the beds. They stretched the carpet in each room using a fairly large device. They seemed very competent, respected our belongings, and thoroughly cleaned up when they completed a room. The result was a high quality job at a reasonable cost. More impressive was what came next. Four days after the install, I spilled a 20 oz cup of coffee in our living room. I patted up the liquid and used a spray carpet cleaner to clean the stain. After it dried, there was still a stain. I called Clawes, they walked through what I did, then sent one of their carpet cleaning teams two days later on Saturday to professionally clean the stain for ZERO charge. Yes, I spilled coffee on my new carpet, and they came out to clean it for free! It's important to note that the warranty on most brands of carpet I looked at require professional cleaning every two years or so. Clawes also performs professional carpet cleaning which is compliant with the warranty requirements. I asked them to put me in their system to contact me every two years for carpet cleaning.

Everyone from the men who work at the store in sales, the person who measured and gave an estimate, the fellow from the warehouse who arranged for the delivery and the 4 installers were amazing. They were prompt, they knew a lot about the product they were selling and made excellent suggestions and couldn't have been nicer. Everyone responded promptly, everyone was courteous, they took care of my furniture and belongings and I would highly recommend Clawes for flooring of any knd that they sell. Everyone who has been in to see my flooring (Quick Step Reclaime) says how fabulous it looks and cannot believe they installed the flooring in my 2 bedroom condo in one day. I had it put in all rooms except the bathrooms and the laundry. The other company I went to came out and measured and never sent me an estimate and the sales person was not as knowledgeable.

The job went extremely well. It began with Teressa Clawes at the Twinbrook store. Teressa was well-informed and patiently explained all the various carpeting materials and styles. The price she quoted was very fair. As the installation date approached, she coached us on how to prepare the house for the installers, who were to remove the existing carpet before installing the new. Although the original estimate was for one and a half days for installation, they worked until 8PM in order to get it finished in one day. Installation went very smoothly. We are very, very pleased with this experience with Clawes. Clawes has been in business for nearly 30 years. We have used them before and will be sure to use them again.

The team arrived promptly as scheduled. They were extremely professional. The team lead introduced himself, all the members of the team and explained the details of what would be accomplished throughout the day. Once they started, it was non-stop and seamless. I would like to give special "kudos" to Fidel who installed the stairs. He is a master craftsman with a special eye toward detail. I would also like to give a special mention to the staff at the main office on Braddock Road. Tim worked with us on our main home as well as several of our rentals. He is highly knowledgeable and very professional. He takes the time to truly understand what our needs were and offers multiple options. It is truly a family run business. Roy Clawes came out to the house to ensure we were satisfied with the installation and took the time to treat us as friends and not just customers! I wouldn't go anywhere else for floors or carpeting! Thanks Clawes! TG

It went really well. They did an excellent job. They were on time and cleaned up everything. It did took them the whole day to do the job but did a very nice job.

We were given Clawes Carpet name by a good friend and neighbor who had also used Clawes Carpets for their home. We were VERY happy throughout the process. Rob and Tim were professional in all their dealing with us and were willing to come to our home on multiple occasions to answer our questions and help us understand the types and qualities of carpets. They both clearly have many years in the industry and have a great understanding of the carpet industry and their products. We were gone on vacation for all these services, leaving a key with Tim. When we returned the entire job was finished. They replaced all the carpet and put all the furniture back in it's original position. They also vacuumed the entire area and left our home in perfect order. We could not be happier and would recommend Clawes Carpet to all our friends and family.

Seamless. It was a wonderful experience. Crews came on different days so that floor had time to dry out (burst water pipe) between removal and replacement. Both crews were punctual, worked well together, worked hard, respectful, neat, and did a great job. The store managers/owners were equally terrific, their advice was solid, and they made what I thought was going to be a stressful situation easy. Would absolutely use them again.

I contacted Clawes Carpets for a carpet replacement estimate. While I signed a contract before meeting with their representative, I wanted to provide a review on their fantastic responsiveness and professionalism. I was very impressed with the response I received while setting up the estimate and even more so with their professionalism when I wrote to cancel. I would definitely work with Clawes for future carpet needs.

They had reasonable prices and they're pretty fast about getting it installed.

Mirage hardwood floors were installed on the main floor of our townhome and they are beautiful. Perfectly installed and beautiful floors. Great services, great flooring advise and overall outstanding experience. Highly recommend. Roy Clawes is a pleasure to work with.

I originally went into the Clawes Carpet location to explore different carpet options and request a formal measurement. The sales rep (Lizzie) was very helpful and energetic. She showed me around, answered some questions, and left me alone - she wasn't pushy at all. Roy, the owner, was in the store and came over and spoke with me, too. He wasn't pushy either. Roy ended up coming over the following weekend to measure. He was right on time. Because this was a basement, he recommended I consider a differnt carpet choice; one that was actually cheaper! Not only would that recommended carpet save me money, but he felt it would do better in a basement. By the time Roy left with the measurement, I had already made my mind up to go with him. To me, Clawes was more interested in building a relationship with me than selling me carpet. As it turns out, their estimate was the most affordable too; an added bonus. The installation went incredibly smoothly. The carpet looks great. My wife and I are already discussing out new flooring project for which we will certainly call Roy and his team at Clawes.

I went into the store to speak with a sales person about durable, but soft carpet for our home. The sales person spent a bit of time talking about the different products and what would work best in our home. In order to work in our budget constraints, I purchased the carpet brand that I liked in a "bulk" color for a cheaper price. Clawes purchases bulk carpet in 1-2 colors for apartments that must replace carpet after each tenant. Measurement was completed within a few days to a week. An estimate was provided and the company was nice enough to lower the price a bit and upgrade the padding for free, which was very much appreciated. The carpet was installed on the next open date and installation went smoothly. The carpet is just as I expected and has held up over the last few months. I would recommend this company for their quality work, communication and expertise.

Excellent - couldn't have asked for a better outcome. We bought a single-family home that needed some TLC for the floors before we could move in. The first part of our project was refinishing the heart-pine floors throughout the first floor of the house, the stairs, upstairs hall, and master bedroom. We were a little worried about losing the great color of the floors with the refinishing, but it was in desperate need of refinishing. While we had been told that you have to be careful with heart pine, we couldn't be happier with the way that the floors came out - they look great... The second part of the project was the replacement of the carpet throughout the house. There was actually carpet in the master bedroom that came out when refinishing the floors, as we preferred to have just hardwood in the master. There was also carpet in the master bath (?? No explaining some things...) which we had them remove and replace with some basic tile to hold us over until we get to re-doing our master bath. They replaced the rest of the carpets - in the other bedrooms, closets, and stairs to the basement - with a great wool carpet. We also had them install a runner on the stairs and the upstairs hall which looks fantastic. The last part of the project was the removal of the carpet in the basement. We didn't have anything reinstalled right away, as we wanted to make sure some reported leaking had truly been fixed before investing in carpets, and had a couple of other projects to knock out first. We will certainly go back to them when we are ready to get the carpet reinstalled in the basement, and would recommend the company to anyone.

We found them through Angie's List several years ago. We've used them before. They did a very nice job. Their installers are terrific. Their pricing on the carpet was competitive. I feel like we got good value. The installers were absolutely responsive.

From beginning to end, one of the owners, Bobbie was amazing. Their tile man Jim is incredible. He had to gut the whole bathroom, built a new shower, pan and wall, it is beautiful. Jim is a professional, everyday everything was put back in place, very neat and orderly. I had a problem with one of the runs of color of the tile and Bobbie was right on it and had it changed to my liking. I had a nightmare experience with Lowes and my custom cabinet, the granite countertop was cut wrong, and did not fit. Then Lowes came to pick it up and dropped it in my foyer, breaking 3 tiles. Bobby made a couple of phone calls and I went to their supplier, who had me pick out the slab of granite, came and measured and installed it. It is beautiful. The electrican was great as was the plumber and the glass owner and installer. I would not use any other company. This is the third bathroom that clawes has gutted and redone. I have had many other estimates and Clawes was very reasonable. The only down side is that the tile guy, Jim is so good you can't be in a rush, it took 3 months before he could get to us, but well worth the wait.

I was not present when they did their work. I was able to call and talk to a friendly person who was able to tell me the where bouts of the crew. I to get back to work, I went out on a limb and let them come do the work without me present. When I got home from work the job was done and looked great. I should say that Clawes Carpet is a family business and very trustworthy.

Clawes was a delight to work with. I contacted Clawes originally through a form on the Website, but didn't receive a response so after a couple weeks I called them. They were very apologetic- they check the online box every day but apparently something wasn't working. We scheduled a time for Roy to come out for an estimate and he arrived ON TIME! I wanted to finish out the hardwood floors upstairs in the three bedrooms, tying into the hardwood already in the hallway. I had to postpone the purchase for a month or two, but when I did move forward, there was an additional $200 manufacturer discount they made me aware of and I was able to get. They did have to reschedule the original install but it was OK because they were able to reschedule for a convenient time. The installers moved everything installed the floor in lightning speed. They did a beautiful job. When I called to pay the remaining balance, I learned that Roy had ordered a whlole extra box of wood at no additional cost to me because he wanted to make sure they had enough to replace the tie-in wood in the hall so the look would be seamless. I was delighted. I now have an extra box to use in case something gets damaged or I decide to do the stairs. Everyone was helpful, did what they said they would do it when they said they would, took pride in their work and went above and beyond to make it a good experience. They are at the top of my list for future flooring needs.

I've used Clawes before and have been pleased with the service both times. Easy to work with, and they did a nice job on a difficult repair (backing separated from carpet in one spot when a bathroom was remodeled, and it rippled over time). The guys were good about moving some things out of the room and into a new spot for me.
