Description of Work: Clawes installed a hardwood floor in my family room. From beginning to end everyone I dealt with was very professional. The installers showed up on time and worked without taking a break, they didn't even stop for lunch. I was particulary impressed with the way they finished around my fireplace. I have a stone fireplace that is uneven. They did an outstanding job shaping the flooring to fit perfectly.

Description of Work: The first thing that attracted us to Clawes was their website, which had a special section on buying new floors when you have a pet at home, plus they were “A” rated on Angie’s List. From the moment we stepped into their Fairfax showroom, we were impressed by Clawes Carpets. We selected the vinyl floor we wanted for our 10 x 12 kitchen, Roy Clawes came to our house to do the measurements, and we scheduled the installation. They were on time and the installation was outstanding, down to the toe-kicks that perfectly matched our new cabinets. We are very happy with the value and service we received and would absolutely recommend Clawes. As a matter of fact, we plan on hiring them to install wall-to-wall carpeting for the rest of the house.

Description of Work: This company is extremely courteous, friendly, timely and responsive and I would highly recommend doing business with them. I could not use their services however because they don't glue down engineered hardwood flooring which is what I needed over a concrete sub floor; they only install engineered floating floors over this type of sub floor. If it weren't for that difference, I wouldn't have hesitated to use to use such a professional company.

Description of Work: I own a condo I rent out in centreville. They agreed to meet with the tenant and give an estimate (which several other companies like Empire would not do). The OWNER came out and met with my tenant. Not only were they the most professional, they were also the best priced. I got 3 quotes and they were best on price and quality. They installed the carpet and put her furniture back better than it looked before (in her own words). Great company, would use again

Description of Work: We had the fine folks at Clawes refinish our hardwood floors for us. They were our second quote, and after seeing them in action we never would bother to look elsewhere. We had a tight timeline, and they were extremely good about fitting us in at a time that worked well. As the floor was drying we had a letter come through the mail slot, which messed up the finish. We called to ask for advice on fixing it, and they sent a team out to redo that spot, at no extra charge. The floors look fantastic, and we really have no complaints. Nice people, good prices, great quality. If only all businesses were this good!

Description of Work: This was a whole house recarpeting job for a split level home (to include the stairs). Service and quality were excellent. Roy took time in going through the carpet selections. Pricing was straightforward. Installers were courtous and did a great job. You can easily understand why they are a customer/Angies list favorite. They really are customer friendly.
