American Windows was EXCELLENT!!!! From the initial contact with Ed, we have been very pleased. He responds to email/voicemail in a very timely manner. He was very patient with us, and there was never a push to upgrade or do more than we wanted to do. His installation crew was excellent, punctual, and attentive to details. We were able to have the windows and doors installed three weeks earlier than we expected, so we were thrilled with that, too. I would absolutely recommend American Windows to anyone wishing to replace windows or doors on their house. If I could give them an A++++ on Angie's list, I would.

Things went well with one small hiccup but was corrected by Jim and his team with a follow-up visit.

We got several estimates to replace windows on the back side of our house (21 windows). American Windows was very competitive and, more importantly, they did an outstanding job on a sliding glass door that we had replaced previously. The Vice President, Jim, came to our house to work out the estimate. He was extremely knowledgeable and very nice. When the work crew came out to our house on the designated day, we were not disappointed! There were 5 people in the work crew and we expected that it would take all day. The team leader was really on the ball and all of the workers performed like a well-oiled machine. I was awed by their expertise and experience! They finished in the early afternoon instead of the evening (as I had expected), and the work they did was magnificent. I carefully examined the windows, the seals.... everything.... and it was all flawlessly done. We still need to replace the windows on the front half of our house, but I'm pretty sure that American Windows will be our first choice when that time comes. It's so nice working with a company that does great work AND is extremely dependable. They are true professionals, and I recommend them highly!

They did a really nice job in fixing the windows and fixing the leak. They did the work in 3 days and had 3-4 people working on the job on any given day.

Their estimate was fine and they were responsive and provided choices and were good at explaining these choices. We are going with a different company because of the scope of additional work needed.

We had 15 windows in our town house replaced and replacement of damaged wood around window and frame. The team arrived on time and started work immediately. The whole job was completed in one day. The team was very professional and worked, with a short lunch break, approximately 12 hours. They made sure to cover all floors and cleaned up both inside and out at the end of the day. They even cleaned all the windows. I would recommend American Window and Siding for both the product and the installation team.

The whole process from purchase to installation was pleasant and conducted in an extremely professional manner. Salesman Benjamin Beltran was very knowledgeable, helpful, accommodating and patient throughout. Due to a scheduling issue on our behalf, the windows were installed in July and the patio door in October. On both occasions, the installation crew was efficient, courteous and capable. The tear out and installation of the windows was completed in one day. With the exception of the new windows, you would never know the crew had been in our home. The installation of the patio door took a half day and again you would never know the crew had been at our home. We are very happy with our new windows and door. More importantly, we are delighted with the attention to detail and service provided by Ben and his crew. It is our intention to ultimately replace all the old windows in our home. Given our experience with American Windows and Siding, we look forward to having our remaining windows replaced by them in the future.

Wood framed windows in dormers had serious rot after 19 years and needed replaced. Found American Windows and Siding based on Angie's List reviews. Easily scheduled visit for estimate. Windows had to be ordered, of course, and they arrived when expected and were installed when promised. Replacements were very high quality and all but an identical match to the originals and those on a detached garage so outward appearance unchanged. No access to dormers from inside so all work was done from outside. The installation crew was very professional and efficient. Very careful around the shrubs that were against the house. Cleaned up everything as if they were never there.

It went great. Charlie and his crew did an outstanding job. Charlie kept me informed constantly. He was constantly calling me to let me know when he would be at my house. He would always check up on his crew.

The install took one day, Everything looked and functioned great with the exception of one bathroom window that had a bad insulation strip that would catch when closing the window. But they took care of it and it was replaced promptly and free of charge. Highly recommended. The windows I bought are Vyrtex, and are super energy efficient.

Sheduling was A+. They were fantastic. They not onliy installed all the windwos and cleaned up within 8 hours.

I can't begin to express how pleased we are with American Windows and Siding in completely replacing 19 windows in our home. We chose a full tear out of the existing windows in order not to loose glass area, and chose Pella aluminum clad wood windows so that the inside sashes and frame could be painted to match our interior colors. The installation team was terrific; quality work, open minded to our desires, clean, right on time and obviously proud of their work. The finished woodwork on the inside was better than the original. Finally, the owner/project manager that we dealt with was extremely informative, listened to our wishes and readily provided options and prices to help us reach our decisions. We obtained a number of proposals: American Windows price was fully competitive. Needless to say, we would not hesitate to go to American Windows and Siding in the future should the need arise.

Before contacting Ed Dunn at American Siding and Windows, I already had two other quotes from other providers. After doing research on the web, I decided I wanted Sunrise windows. I met with Ed and without my prompting, those were the windows he recommended out of the brands they carried. The estimate for the windows was extremely reasonable and he worked with me to keep it in my budget. It was a great experience from beginning to end. Once the windows were in, the crew came out and installed in one day. Everything was done neatly and cleaned up. The new windows look fantastic. I highly recommend American Siding and Windows.

Dealing with American Windows and Siding was a perfect experience that exceeded my expectations. From the initial meeting with Ben Beltran to the final clean up it was a dream come true. Ben was knowledgeable yet low pressure in his sales pitch and kept us informed with a great estimate, order date and possible installation dates. On the day of the installation, the crew was prompt, courteous, and proved to be expert craftsmen. They cleaned up the area well and the head of the work crew even demonstrated how the windows worked and answered all questions before he left. Suffice it to say using American Windows and Siding was a great choice as they provided excellent service at a great price. I would recommend this company to everyone looking for new windows as I couldn't be more pleased.

Ben's team should up promptly on the scheduled date. The install was completed in about 4 hrs. Upon signing the contract, I had informed Ben that I wanted to reuse the exterior door's lock. Unfortunately, during removal of the existing door, the lock was damaged. The install team offered to have replace the lock at no charge to me. In fact, a quick trip to the local hardware store had a new lock at the house before door installation was complete; great customer service! The installation of the doors was performed with quality; doors are plumb and open/close smoothly. At the end of the installation, I noticed that the upper storm door :closer" provided by the manufacturer was the wrong model. Ben subsequently contacted the manufacturer and got the correct part on order. Though it took a few weeks to get the correct door closer installed, I am still very pleased with American Windows work. Everything looks great.

Disappointed. We used American Windows to install four floor-to-ceiling tempered glass windows after a tree smashed our windows due to the derecho storm a couple years ago. We were always planning to replace all of our original windows and decided to call American Windows back again. Upon getting the estimate, we were told we would get it in one week. As repeat customers, we gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited and waited for 3 weeks and finally got the estimate for our remaining windows and front entry door. The prices were reasonable; however we had several questions and immediately responsed the next day. After no response for another two weeks, we were finally fed up and contacted a competitor and got an estimate THE NEXT DAY. As customers, we did not feel like it was our responsibility to contact American Windows again to ask for a timely response and there was a level of professionalism we expected. After one month from our initial email response, we finally received a voicemail, but no answers to our questions. By then, we had already signed a contract for windows and door with the other company. Needless to say as a repeat customer, we were very disappointed with the professionalism and responsiveness.

Excellent. From the estimate to the cleanup everything was done in a very professional and timely manner. The value was superior based on other estimates. I am recommending American Siding And Windows to all.

It didn't go at all. We put in the request for the fee quote on June 3 and got a response that someone would get back to us shortly. On June 7, we reached BACK out to the company as we had not heard anything and got a nice email back that our request would be dealt with on the following monday June 10. We never got a call or an email back. it is now June 17 and we have wasted three weeks while water is now pouring into our house every time it rains. I'm really really disappointed, as the company was recommended highly to my husband but we cannot afford to waste any more time waiting for the call that is obviously not going to come. If they are so busy b/c they are so highly rated they also should learn to be forthright and honest re: timing.

Ben Beltran with American Windows and Siding of VA, Inc. is an absolute pleasure to work with. Ben provided us with a detailed estimate and clearly explained all the work that would be done, the materials to be used and the time it would take. The workers performed the job just as explained and cleaned up when the job was completed.We are extremely happy with our new fascia and gutter and feel confident that the price was fair and the work was wonderful.I would highly recommend this company.

I was really pleased with the customer service from the sales manager. He came to our home on several occasions to measure and follow up on details and questions up prior to our installation. I met with many different vendors prior to settling on American Windows and Siding and their pricing was the most competitive by a long shot. Our installation was delayed about a week due to the weather in January, however they made this clear and arrived promptly on the date of installation. The men removing our old door and windows and installing the new ones were professional and worked until the job was done. It took the better part of the day, but it was well worth it all. The only thing I didn't think about ahead of time was to have the new sliding door keyed to match our master key, so we would have to have another key for the house. This was a minor issue which they offered to resolve by paying for a locksmith to re-key the sliding door for us. This was greatly appreciated as it was thought of after the fact yet they were committed to making us happy and for it to work for us. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again for our future door and window needs.

We got 5 different quotes. American Windows were not the cheapest, but they seemed to be the most reputable, and didn't try to "upsell" us. Brad listened to our needs, and gave us a fair and reasonable quote. Throughout the process communication was not 100% what I would have liked, but I'm a program manager and have very high expectations. Brad brought us the trim before the install, so that we could paint it in advance (so much easier!), which was over-and-beyond the scope of the job. The windows came in as planned, we had a wonderful crew who installed them in 1.5 days, and they are one of the best features of our house! The only downside, is that we are still waiting for one of our frames, which had to be re-ordered, and there is a small bit of caulking that needs to be re-done. Despite that, the price was wonderful, the finished product beautiful, and we are 100% satisfied.

Generally, I would recommend the provider. The one issue I had was that the estimate was provided by a party not affiliated with the installer - American Windows & Siding. The installer said the estimate was too low. In the end we did not pay the added amount. However, I did not understand why the company did not provide its own estimate. It became a non-issue since they honored the original price. Quality appears to be decent. Work crew was professional and quick.

I contacted American Windows and Siding of VA, Inc. and requested a quote on replacing 16 windows in my home. Jim Littau, Vice President of American Windows and Siding of VA, Inc. came to my house and he showed up on time. I explained from the start that I would not be making a decision immediately as we were going to get multiple quotes. I also told him that I did not want high sales pressure and he was very respectful of that. Jim explained the types of windows they sold and how they would be installed. He measured all of the windows we needed to have replaced and answered all of my questions; including information about their windows NFRC rating on air leakage. Jim was very professional, answered all of my questions to my satisfaction, and was friendly. He spent 2 hours with us measuring and making sure all our questions were answered to our satisfaction. He also invited us to the showroom to look at their windows. We got quotes from a total of 3 companies. American Windows was in the middle price range. We also reviewed what others said about American Windows; the comments were outstanding. Based on Jim?s professionalism and the company?s reviews, we signed a contract with American Windows. The windows were ordered and we were contacted when they came in. Installation was set up at our convenience. On installation day, Jim?s crew showed up on time. The first thing they did was to put drop clothes throughout my home to protect my flooring. The crew supervisor double checked the dimensions of my old windows to ensure that the new windows were correct. The crew worked in teams to remove the old windows and replaced with the new ones. They were careful to ensure there was no wood rot that needed to be addressed. Several crew members went to work on the exterior capping and sprayed foam into any gaps that needed to be filled. They ensured that we were happy with the finishing of the interior capping. This crew of about 6 worked well as a team. We were very impressed with their work ethic, attention to detail and they were very courteous to me and my wife. They cleaned up any debris and checked for any items that were left on the exterior. All of the windows were cleaned and checked to make sure they worked properly. I was shown how the new windows worked and asked if I was satisfied with their work. We were very pleased! It was nice to see individuals that care about their work. My wife and I are extremely happy with their work and the new windows. We would highly recommend American Windows and Siding of VA, Inc and Jim Littau. I also received an Angie?s List discount. We are going to have them replace our front door and side door windows. Thank you very much! A job well done!

Though I ultimately did not choose American Windows and Siding to do my window replacement, my experience with them was positive and I would recommend that others wanting a good combination of cost and quality should do so. I was looking to have 23 aging wood windows in a 1954 house replaced with new high efficiency vinyl windows. Ben Beltran was extremely responsive getting back to my initial query. I was able to arrange a site inspection and estimate with him shortly thereafter. I was impressed with the thoroughness of his inspection, and with his explanation of their installation process, which seemed exceptionally thorough and professional. The price he gave me was very competitive, better than most I'd researched on line. I ultimately went with another company that could provide windows I believed were of very similar quality for about 5% less. The whole process was very professional, no BS, and no high pressure. I'd recommend checking them out if you're looking for good windows at good price from professional team.
