Description of Work: A +++ Excellent. This is the second time we have used American Windows. This time they replaced all the windows on our house (11 ea). Brad came to house and he explained/discussed our various options which was very helpful. He then provided us a reasonable estimate on scheduled. We signed the contract and within the scheduled time the windows were manufactured and installation as scheduled. Sam and his five man crew arrived early in the morning and worked diligently all day. They are very skilled craftsman, very professions and very careful and protective. They left at 7 PM with just a little work remaining for the next day. They came back the next day and completed the last of the odds and end. They are just simple great. They are a quality company with quality people. I highly recommend them and if we had more window, I would use them again.

Description of Work: They installed 20 windows. I'm picky. I'm a lawyer, I write the Consumer Contract Law article in Va. I interviewed 8 companies. Checked all of them out: with the Better Business Bureau, in Fairfax Co.'s Best Picks Report, and on Angie's List. They were my choice. Not a complaint in the last 10 years. I am very happy with the price and the job they did. I plan to hire them to do another 12 windows.

Description of Work: American Windows and Siding replaced all of the windows on the main floor and the sliding glass door in the basement. | |I got estimates from 3 other window companies, including the one that had installed my upstairs windows. American Windows and Siding had the lowest price for high quality windows. Jim was extremely knowledgeable, helpful and very low-key- at no time did I feel any pressure. The show room is somewhat hard to find, but worth the trip to see the products first hand. There was a glitch in terms of notifying me that the windows were in (they called the wrong number), but they were very flexible in terms of scheduling the install. The crew arrived right on time and took only a half day to install all of the windows and the door, including replacing wood rot. They cleaned up everything. The windows are well made and well insulated. Both the main floor and basement are significantly warmer. I would definitely use this company again. | |

Description of Work: American Windows installed the large bow window in my living room and also a retractable sliding screen door off my kitchen. They cut out the old bow window, hauled it away, and installed the new window. They caulked and added new molding and trimmed around the window. They arrived at 8 and worked until 5. They cleaned up after themselves and my house looked perfect. I highly recommend this company and I have already ordered a new entry door for my deck from them.
