I first visited their display at the Home Show and got a lot of information, estimater was prompt and very knowledgeable and answered all questions. I felt the price was great for all the work that was done. The installers came ontime and did all the work in one day. They cleaned up everything very nicely. So far, the windows work great and I have not had any problems. I would definitely recommend this company.

The windows came in 3 weeks after ordering, which was early. The install team worked neatly and quickly and completed the job professionally and expertly in less than 4 hours. They paid close attention to 2 problem window sills and completed all necessary adjustments. Very polite and efficient.

They were very good. The work was fantastic. They were punctual, responsive and very friendly. I would with out a doubt use them again. We even told our neighbors about how much of a good job they had done.

Well. The company originally failed to note that the windows were to be transluscent, but corrected the problem without penalty and finally got them installed. We couldn't be happier with the company and their response.

I wanted them to put a new picture window, where there was a smaller window. They were prompt and were very likable. They knew what they were doing, and they were really good. The only reason I didn?t go with them was that their price was a little higher than the company that I ended up using. I will definitely use them in the future.

They were fine and the reason we did not go with them was because they were almost equal in price with the company we choose, but we already had someone out to do the measurement. They were professional.

They had the lowest estimate out of the 8 that we got. They also had a particular product in mind. The vinyl windows we wanted would not have gone well with the trim in our house and I did not want to repaint all of our trim. So, they came up with a product that had a wood veneer over the vinyl on the inside of the window which meant we would paint or stain it to match our trim. They were the only group that offered it to us up front, although a few of the other companies called back to say they didn't know we wanted that even though we were very clear about what we wanted. They haven't completed the job yet, but so far they are the best of all we've seen.

It was outstanding. The crew did excellent work.

They are a fine company and I am thinking about having them replace my storm door. Overall, I was pleased.

The service I received was first class. I started out interviewing about a dozen people. Some were low and some were high, but American Windows was in the window of what we could afford. They are not pricey, but not cheap either. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding. The crew came and finished the job in one day. I liked this company so much that I passed the company name on to one of my customers. He too, had new windows installed. I will use this company again for any future work.

The experience was really great overall, but the rave reviews here at Angie's List almost made me feel let down! The estimate process was great -- no long, high-pressure sales pitch, and the price was fantastic. There is one company in the area that is known for three-hour sales presentations, ridiculously high prices, and a "if you commit today, the price is lower" approach to window sales. American is NOT that company (but they're clearly experienced with homeowners who HAVE been through that process). My sales rep, Brad, explained that American does not use sub-contracted installers and that just about everyone there is invested in the company and that is part of why I chose them. After the estimate, though, I never heard back from anyone, which was surprising. I eventually got through the other estimates and decided to go with them; after a very quick visit for final measurements and contract signing, the windows were ordered and ready about two weeks later and installed the next week. The installment crew showed up right on time and apparently didn't have any issues because the job was completed in about four hours. After a good clean-up and some instructions, they were on their way. I think that other reviewers here really got my expectations raised with reviews about their customer service reps being on-site and taking care of the process through every step. But don't get me wrong... Overall, it was a great and painless experience, and I'd absolutely recommend them.

We moved into an older home and need to replacement metal casement windows that had been painted and caulked shut. Charlie and his team came in and did a wonderful job. They were on time, on budget and a pleasure to do business with! Each member of the team was very nice and communicated well with us during the project.

They just finished doing the job today and we are very happy with this company. We paid about $8000 for the work and we thought that that was pretty reasonable for 20 windows. We had several estimates and they were by far the cheapest. They were very prompt, thorough, polite, pleasant and efficient, and did excellent work. They cleaned up everything and I was amazed with that. The windows are compliant with the standards that we need to get a tax break on our income tax and are properly equipped to provide insulation. We liked their service.

They were just wonderful. Despite problem after problem they came up with a solution. Particularly Brad was very patient with us. He answered all of our questions. They were here on time; it was just a wonderful experience. The installation was maybe then days. The crew were great and very nice. There is such a difference in the warmth of the house and our bills have gone down. Replacing the French door system revealed rot. Ed came and said ?how do we fix this.? He and Brad figured it out, got the necessary tools and fixed it. It was a mess. They pulled back the carpet and re-installed it for us. We like the windows. They are easy to use. We have had them for a year. We had some in the front with a window film with a higher UV that have proved to keep it warmer.

They are responsive but not overly pushy. They had the best price of all the compatition. They are very timely as well. They came out the day after I called them.

They were efficient. They were really responsive and kept in contact with us. They answered all of our questions thoroughly. We were really pleased with the quality of work and how it looked.

American Windows did a great job. I told them what I wanted and the got them for me in a timely fashion. There were a few minor problems with windows that needed to be dealt with at the manufacturers. American Windows followed up with Pella and made sure the problems were corrected. I highly recommend them.

They were fantastic from start to finish. The work required extensive reframing and ended up taking significantly longer than anticipated, but there was no extra charge. They were very responsive about coming back to fix up the few minor things that were not perfect (i.e. caulking not perfect, etc.) They were willing to do some minor siding repair that was unrelated to the windows and did a great job. I highly recommend them.

All went as contracted and scheduled. Salesperson Tom gave good information, no games, flexible; worked with me patiently on color considerations and different types of panes. The installation crew under Paul's direction was excellent: courteous, careful and clean. This was by far the best price of four estimates and I am delighted with the windows. A neighbor had a similarly good experience.

Great! Gary explained the differences in manufacturers and asked all the questions required to determine exactly what we wanted. He came to the house even to my office, to accommodate my schedule. He was very patient with us while we delayed in making our decision, and he checked in a couple of times in a nonpressured way. I felt that he was really interested in meeting my needs and getting me the best value for money. He gave me his cell phone number. When the windows were delivered and we thought there was one missing, I left him a voicemail and he returned my call very soon, ready to talk to the distributor for us. (Turned out that one window was hiding behind another two, and nothing was missing.)

Excellent job from start to finish. Very responsive to ALL requests. The crew was extremely professional and did an outstanding job. Work areas were cleaned up daily. The team would not leave upon completion unless I was completely satisfied.

Great workmanship. Finished in 3 days. Quality of material and workmanship beat expectations.
