We did not use them. They quoted $15000, they did come up high, but they presented it well and were runners up actually, because we had several quotes. We didn’t find anything bad about them, it is just that they came up a little high, and we wanted to try another company. There wasn’t anything that we disliked except that they came in extremely higher than the company we went with. They did very well in communication. They came out, did a demo, showed us the cabinets, did measurements and told us the whole process of how refacing works, so they were very thorough. The next day or so we got a written estimate. They were quick to respond.

Wow. The kitchen went from disgusting to beautiful. The workmanship is excellent. Great look at much less cost than installing new cabinets and losing granite countertops to cracking. I can't say enough about how good cabinets look and the transformation of our kitchen. The only reason for the downgrade is the work crew wasn't the friendliest and wasn't conscientious about making a mess. I expected some more plastic to be put up around kitchen to keep dust down, but the big problem was they placed table saw in garage to cut wood and saw dust is all over the place. We had a lot of stuff stored in garage and a headache to clean up. Had expected such cutting to be down outside in driveway or grass. The owner was understanding and gave me a modest credit to account for the hassle, which I appreciated. I would definitely use American Cabinet Refacers again. If I move and don't like the cabinet set up I will call them - and just remind them to be careful with the sawdust.
Description of Work: Had outdated, goofy builder's grade oak cabinets with big swing doors refaced with antique white finish and double-doors opening from center. Also added one cabinet and undercounter drawer and pull-out drawer with dual trash can/recycle bin.

I will never know if they are a quality company because they couldn't bother to answer my initial attempts to get an estimate.
Description of Work: joined Angies List to find someone companies to help with Kitchen makeover. Picked this one because they had good reviews. Sent them my contact information and a week later still have not heard from them. If this how they value a new potential customer: If they ever call or contact me I would never use them.

I was immediately impressed with the representative who see what I wanted done and give an estimate. He explained all my options without giving me a sales pitch, without pressuring me to pick any particular option. He was patient and all my questions fully and candidly. Having previously received other estimates, I found the company's pricing structure to be quite reasonable. Because I was willing to commit to this company on the spot, I was given a bit of a discount. The company followed through on everything I was told during the initial visit. Workmen were sent out twice to do measurements, and each time they arrived promptly and performed efficiently. I was called about three weeks ahead of time to let me know when the work would begin. The workmen arrived promptly and worked diligently--at the end of the first day I was amazed to see how much they'd accomplished. The work took a couple of hours longer than estimated, but part of that was because the workers installed a new disposal for me and the other part had to do with a problem with one of my sinks. The finished job looks terrific, a 1000% improvement over what I had before. I just can't say enough about the quality of the work and the quality of the people I dealt with. I would be remiss if I didn't give a shout-out to Granite and Marble Express, which provided the countertops. Working with them was a pleasure--the salespeople were courteous and well-informed, and let me wander through their showroom without hovering. Their workmen, too, were efficient, proficient, and professional. It was a delight dealing with everyone involved in this project. I consider my money very well-spent.
Description of Work: I had the cabinets in my kitchen refaced and a granite countertop installed. The vanities in all the bathrooms were also refaced, and silestone countertops were put in.

Jeremia arrived at 8 Am as he said he would ,Carlos brought more materials and they got started,Both very professional experts at this kind of work, polite and very easy to have in the house for 3 days and very meticulus in their work habits .They did all sawing outside to keep the dust to a minimum,Jeremia did 2 days on his own and was constantly working from early to late. We would highly recommend the company and the factory who made our new doors and other materials, definitely exellent quality and we are so impressed with our new looking kitchen ,I cant believe it is the same room I walk into every am. We would definitely hire this same company again if we decide to have more cabinet doors uppdated. I am more than happy with the "new" kitchen it looks like all the cabinets are new , the shoe molding and other details are just so beatifully finshed .Jeremia is a perfectionist I think ,takes a lot of pride in a job well done.We would most definitely recommend this company ,
Description of Work: We had 3 companies come to our house for an estimate and desciption of the work and how it would be done. The Oak cabinets were in good condition and we decided that all that was needed were new doors and the Maple veneer 1/4 inch solid quality covering they use to cover up other Oak material surrounding the cabinets we were satisfied wirh the way American Cabinet Refacers salesperson explained the work and of course we read all the recommendations on Angies list, which was also a deciding factor ,we picked lovely Maple wood cabinet doors ,Jeremia came to measure all he needed to know and we waited 6 weeks to have them made to our specifications,

rrancompAbove and beyond best describes our experience with having American Cabinet Refacers. Jeremiah and Carlos, the two gentlemen - and I do not use the term lightly - assigned to our job, were perfectionists. The job was not cheap, but we didn't want that. We wanted quality and we received exceptional quality. The multi-day job was both a routine cabinet refacing as well as several custom built-ins that were much harder than they expected. They spent hours installing a blind cabinet access and were not satisfied until it worked perfectly. They arrived each morning promptly and stayed late several days to finish everything meticulously. We could not be happier, and recommend them without reservation. No matter the situation or challenge, Jeremiah and Carlos handled it courteously and professionally.
Description of Work: We contacted the company a few months ago, and a charming saleswoman came out and described the process, what they could do, and brought samples of the cabinet doors we could have. We were so impressed by the quality of the doors and the willingness to do what we wanted that we signed on the spot. Besides having our cabinets refaced, we requested that the company: remove a trash compactor and slide the existing drawer units to replace it; build a blind corner cabinet and install shelves that rotated out; build a narrow spice cabinet between studs; build a cabinet above our refrigerator and enclose the refrigerator sides; and convert an open desk and shelf area and adjacent closet into a double-doored pantry. No doubt about it, this was a challenging job, and the crew exceeded our expectations. Every task was completed beautifully and carefully. Jeremiah and Carlos were pleasant and efficient, and I had no qualms about leaving them to run errands outside the house. They kept me apprised of any issues, and let me know immediately when one of the cabinet doors needed to be re-ordered. Given the complexity of the job, I am amazed at how few problems occurred.

Initial sales presentation could use some better materials and more color/style samples to choose from, but since I wanted to preserve my existing Silestone counters I had to go with refacing. ACR had good reviews on Angie's List, and a better price than Home Depot's refacing service, so I went with them. ACR did an outstanding job. They arranged for me to see a former client's kitchen to ease my fears about the quality of refacing, and worked extensively with me to get the features I wanted. Stuart, the owner, came out for my initial measurement appointment, since I'd asked for a few custom elements. Omar who oversees the project is extremely knowledgable, and answered all of my many detailed questions. They built exactly the pieces I wanted from sample pictures I showed them and my descriptions, including a wine cubby and bookshelf section in the wall cabinets and a pantry with all the custom elements I asked for. Jerimiah who did the installation was extremely meticulous, made all the adjustments I noted, and took the time get the project exactly right. It ended up taking longer than estimated, but I appreciated that he took the time to get it right, rather than done quickly. I feel that I got an outstanding project for the money.

We are delighted with our refaced kitchen cabinets. We love them and they absolutely look like all new cabinets of the highest quality. The installation team did an outstanding job measuring, refacing and installing the custom-built doors and drawer fronts, hinges, knobs and pulls. Carlos did the critical work of preparing all of the cabinet surfaces and installing the laminates to match the doors and drawer fronts being built by the factory. Jeremiah completed the installation of the delivered doors and drawer fronts , hinges, knobs and pulls. They worked meticulously to keep all surfaces smooth and all edges perfectly aligned. All along the way, they kept the work area clean and protected our kitchen floor and appliances from harm. We could not be more pleased with the results. We highly recommend American Cabinet Refacers and especially Carlos and Jeremiah!
Description of Work: The installation team initially made detailed exact measurements prior to the factory order. Then they removed old doors and drawer fronts, refaced the existing cabinet surfaces and finally installed the delivered custom-built doors drawer fronts, hinges, knobs and pulls. Moldings were installed as needed.

They did great work. I think it is important to have a contract with all the details specified in it for the projects that you do. He had products that no one else had. The wood is absolutely beautiful. He has a good team doing the work. He is an out of the box thinker and creates nice work. Beware working with the daughter who is not yet knowledgeable. Be careful with price negotiations for they may change.

Given we've done plenty of work with other contractors with my wife doing all the designs while I just pay the bills, this seemed a put down to my wife that I had to be there. I had a meeting and wasn't going to get invovled anyway. Sales rep did not make my wife happy, and the proposal was one of the most flimsy I have seen in 35 years of renovating homes.

I renovated my kitchen in the 80's, at which time I added soffits and new cabinets. Over the years, I extended my kitchen and added some upgrades--granite counter tops, stainless steel sink, beautiful flushed nickel faucets, and hardwood floors, but left the cabinets as they were. I became increasingly unhappy with my cabinets and consulted with a contractor about changing them. He would not touch my kitchen, as he said he could not save the granite counter tops and to remodel my kitchen would cost at least $40,000. He suggested I go on Angie's List and look for cabinet refacers, which I did. When I read a review from someone on Angie's List who had used KitchenSaver, I got so excited. I finally found someone who could do exactly what I needed to be done. I contacted them right away and met with a very nice sales consultant within a few days. I learned that they could do everything I wanted done. I signed a contract with them that day. The measurements were taken in one-two weeks, and everything was ready for installation about 5 or 6 weeks later. KitichenSaver removed the soffits, built new overhead cabinets, extending them to the ceiling, and refaced the remaining cabinets. By doing this, there were able to save the granite. The whole process took 2 weeks. I am able to have a brand new kitchen for half the price of starting from scratch. Although this was not an inexpensive job, I got a lot for my money and absolutely love it. This is one of the best decisions I have ever made and one of the best experiences ever. I had a great time working with the sales consultant, the VP of Kitchen Operations, and my installer (the best!). Everyone was great to work with, and I highly recommend them.

This company knows how to run a business. First of all, unlike many businesses, they return calls within hours, NOT days, or weeks, or never. A++ for a start. From the beginning, they had our interests in mind, helping us make selections that were best suited for our situation, rather than just pushing the more expensive options. A++ The installer was meticulous, detail oriented, and tidy. He was able to solve little problems that arose, and took time to make things perfect. Drawers and doors were installed level, and square. The business was was very involved, which unfortunately, is not the usual situation. The finish work is very well done, and I know it will hold up well in years to come. Knowing what a headache kitchen makeovers are, this company made it as easy as possible. Quality work and a good value. The kitchen looks like it costs more than it did. A++

The sales person explained in detail the entire process. The sales person took the intial measurements. Then, another person from the company came by and took exact estimates. He asked questions related to our preferences and things that we did not think about intially. He helped us to improve on our initial requests. In a short time after the measurement specialist came the installers called to set up two consequetive days to do the work. The estimate was that the work would be completed in two days and they did.
Description of Work: American Cabinet Refacers installed all new wooden cabinet doors and completely new cabinet drawers. We were interested in keeping our original layout and counter top, but after 20 years the cabinets were in need of updating. The cabinets look fantastic! We were able to get updates for which the other company was charging an additional amount. The other companies estimate was $4,000 more than what we were charged by American Cabinet Refacers. We were very pleased with the service and quality of the product we received.

All was professionally done. The replacment of the trash compactor with a cabnet that required an additional of a flooring plank was not planned or accomplished when the job was done even though the need to do this was pointed out to the salesman and was supposed to be done. However, the owner promptly took responsibility for it and assured that it would be accomplished. Satisfied with result. would recommend company.

Overall I would love to give them an A but due to some issues along the way I had to give them a B. When it is all said and done we are very happy with the end results except for the issues we experienced below. I would recommend them to others but would caution them about some items we ran into. See below for details. From beginning to end everything took about 3 months. We made an appointment for the sales person to come to our home to provide an estimate and walk us through the process and provide some samples. She was very professional and provided us with a good overview of the company and process. She provided us with plenty of samples and colors to choose from. The one thing I really wanted was slow close hinges, something she was not familiar with so I had to show her on the internet what they were. She said if she can order them she can get it done. We also made modification to a couple of the cabinets removing the cabinet divider to create one larger opening and requested that the doors open up instead of as regular cabinets. The key part to this was that the cabinet door would need to be able to stay upright so we could easily remove and add items to the space. She told us that would not be an issue. Besides the resurfacing of the cabinets we wanted a built-in book case under our tabletop bar in the kitchen and a new pantry. She provided us a quote over 6500.00 but when we told her we would have to think about it she said she would reduce the price to $6000. We liked their willingness to work with us on our asks. The person who actually does the work came out a couple days later after signing the contract to take additional measurements and discuss our options for the custom built-in and pantry. We explained exactly what we were looking for and provided us with great feedback and suggestions. During the planning stages they noticed that the slow close hinges we really wanted would not work for our doors due to the framing of our cabinets and the small reach these type of hinges had. He racked his brain for a while to try to figure out what to do but there was no alternative. One of the things I really wanted were those hinges so I was very disappointed that was not going to happen. We would have to settle for regular hinges. We scheduled them to come on the 30th and 31st of December, we weren't too excited about this since we were hosting new year's eve dinner for our family but they assured us that the work would be completed early enough in the day that it wouldn't be an issue. We spent Christmas in TN with some family but due to Jury Duty summons we had to cut our trip short one day and returned on Sunday the 26th. Monday morning the 27th while I was at Jury duty the work crew showed up at 8 AM 3 days earlier then they had been scheduled. If we had not cut our trip short we would not have been home. They explained that they had left VM for us letting us know but none were left on any of our cell phones or home number. We later found out they had been calling a wrong number. We called the management and had no real explanation for the change of date, especially since they were never able to confirm this date with us. We rolled with the punches it was a bit of an inconvenience since we had family in town visiting and had to change our plans. We allowed them to begin their work. They were very clean and professional I have no complaints with the quality if their work. About halfway through the day they let us know that they were missing the cabinet doors and that they didn't have them. They told us that they thought they had them with them but it turns out the doors had not shipped. They could finish the work but we would not have any cabinet doors until the doors came in. This really made us very unhappy and asked to speak with their manager again. They offered nothing more than an apology and that they would work around our schedule to finish the work on the weekend that was convenient for us. At this point we had no choice but to take it since they had already taken everything out and were mid-way through the job. Fast forward a few weeks later the doors have come in and schedule to come out on Saturday. This time only one worker comes out to install the doors. When doing the work he noticed that one of the doors under the kitchen sink was missing and had not been delivered/ordered. He made a temporary door out of scrap material and really you wouldn't notice unless you looked. We were not happy about the situation but glad that he came up with a solution that would work. We also had issues with the hinges for the cabinet doors that would open up and needed to stay open upright. The hinges he had would not support the weight of the door. he would need to research and find different hinges to get it to work and would install them when the missing door came in. Fast forward about a month we get a call letting us know that the door had come in and that they could come out that Saturday to complete the work. He came back installed the door and the proper hinges. He did run into an issue with the hinges that weren't lining up with the doors properly. After some work he was able to reposition them so that they would work. finally completing the work that had started over two months earlier. Now we ran into several issues with the scheduling and missing parts and not being able to get the slow close hinges we originally wanted. Overall I have to say the quality of the work is very good. Had it not been for that I would not be as happy with the end results. I don't know if this is normal for them it just seems like we ran into a lot of issues. I would recommend them to other but I would strongly caution others to keep a close eye on those details and make sure that they have all the parts before they begin any work.
Description of Work: We were unhappy with the color and look of the kitchem cabinets in our condo. Instead of replacing them we looked at refinishing the cabinets. We also wanted some additional storage and were interested in some custome pieces.T hey resurfaced our kitchen cabinets and created two custom cabinets for us. One was a built-in book case underneath out tabletop bar and a custom pantry in our kitchen.
