MowCow does a good job once they get started. It seems that their administration/organization could be improved however. They were too casual incontacting former customers about preparing irrigation systems for winter.

We have used them for probably 20 years and they used to be great. We referred many people to them so one would think they would want to keep us happy. The past couple years things have gone from bad to worse. They don't show up when they say they are going to and you have to continually call them to find out why they didn't come and when they are going to come. I finally called the owner of the company and after we spoke he told me he would call me back in two days for a follow up discussion. He never called so guess he is no better then his employees.

I have used Mowcow for 2 years now and each year I think I should switch mowing/landscaping companies.They have terrible business practices including not responding to estimate requests for over 10 business days. Other companies visited my property and had an estimate hand delivered in 48 hours. I have prepaid for the entire summer of mowing to have weekly mowings. To date they have already missed 2 mowings. Seriously. I called and demanded to talk to a manager and they came out to the property the next evening and apologized and gave me a large discount on a mulching and cleanup job. I authorized the service 3 weeks ago....and they still have not performed their work. They either need to hire more mowing/mulching crews or be up front about timelines with customers when it comes to performing CONTRACTED WORKIf I had not already prepaid for work I would be cancelling and choosing another mowing service. I should NOT have to police and make sure my lawn gets mowed every week when they already have cash in hand.I get anxious every Saturday if the lawn has not already been mowed because I fear it will be forgotten until next week causing it to become overgrown, weeds take place, and an upset homeowners association.While a good price and they do a great job once they finally show up, the aggravation of chasing them down to make sure they mow my property is not worth my time.

Basically they did work without any permission or authorization. I contested the bill, but they threatened to take me to collections. I feel they strong-armed me into paying for services that I did not authorize.

We have used this company for a number of years. They do give a substantial discount when you pay for the season up front. Their work is well done, completed on time and the price is very reasonable. Other services are offered and priced a la carte so you always know what you are buying.

They do good service. They show up. I?m happy with them. I would use them in the future.

We like their lawn stuff. We will continue to patronize. They recently started HandyCow, that has been a different story. Nearly three months ago, we got an estimate of 200 dollars to fix our backyard fence gate, all well and good. But they still have not arrived to do it and I'm going to have to have someone ELSE do it. Called twice, they assured us they were coming the next week. The most recent time we called, they said we had an outstanding balance (we DID! My husband missed a bill for 63 dollars back in September!) but they never contacted us about it, never sent a bill reminder, and never mentioned it on our previous two phone calls. Bill has been paid. Fence is still unfixed. Is the reason I joined Angie's List.

When the gentleman came do the estimate, he said that they could come once a month and other than the month that they laid top soil, the price would be $50 every month. In August my credit card was billed doubled. When I called to tell them about it, I was told they came twice that month and we owe twice, yet I never asked them to come twice and signed up for the once a month plan. I was told that the person who did my estimate was fired for giving out incorrect information and we would not be refunded. I cancelled my plan and the lady I spoke with was surprised and couldn't understand why and proceeded to hang-up on me. I called back and asked to speak with a manager, but was told she was in a meeting and would call me back. After a week, I have still haven't gotten a call from the manager.

The lawn and yard work company is from the area. They give a discount if we pay ahead. I started working with them because they cut our neighbor's yard. They come out every week but I wish that they would tell us in advance that our ten cuts have worn out so that we remember to renew and get the discount. They mow the lawn and it looks very nice. They come out every week and never miss a week. I don't know what other people charge, but I guess the price is fine. They are pretty responsive because when we call they take care of the business immediately.

The gentleman that gave us the at-home estimate said that they would be able to clean all leaves, etc., trim bushes and 2 trees that were touching the house. It took 3 weeks for them to come to the house and when they did only 2 workmen arrived at 2pm for a several hour job. Needless to say, they said they wouldn't have time to complete the job as there were too many leaves and could not prune the trees touching the house (which were included in our estimate) and they could not work overtime. After much 'back and forth', I called the office, which was closed for the day - the workmen called their supervisor on their cell and I asked to speak to him. Finally, they sent an additional 2 men to help complete the job - it was now early evening. They did in fact finish the leave cleaning - however, the tree pruning was less than satisfactory. I have left 2 messages for someone to call me regarding this and no-one ever called me back, I also wrote a note for someone to call when I sent the full payment in....the check was quickly cashed - no one ever called.....

This was the biggest rip-off ever because they charged me $63 and the first time they mowed the lawn, they sent me a bill for $126 because they said it was too tall. One day I was at home and I heard them mowing the lawn. It only took them 8 minutes and they left. Everything was a mess.
