We recently had water damage in our basement and needed to have our carpet replaced. I found D & S Flooring on Angie's List and gave them a call. Immediately, I felt at ease with Massood as he explained the promotion and promised to take good care of us. And he sure delivered on that promise! He met with us to go over our carpet choices, to measure, and to answer any questions that we had. He was extremely pleasant and we really enjoyed working with Massood. The installers were also very pleasant and got our old carpet up and new carpet in well within one day. They were extremely professional and the carpet looks fantastic!!

I asked for a specific future date that they were able to accommodate. They came when expected and completed the work in about 3 hours time. Came back a second day to put on another coat of polyurethane finish. Looks great. They did a great job.

They did a fantastic job matching the natural oak color of the rest of the house. Very professional with some extremely tricky corners! The sales rep, Masood was pleasant, informative and punctual. He was very reliable and eager to do even this small job. I will not hesitate to recommend them to any one. (I've already shown the floor to three neighbors).

The entire transaction from sales to installation was very professional and flawless done. I asked the installer to secure some loose boards and they did so with no additional charge. The price was very good, it beat all the others I got estimate from. I highly recommend D&S Floors.

Masood did an outstanding job. During the granite installation, which D & S outsourced, they accidentally miss-cut the granite. Masood made sure it was correct and they were back the next day with new cuts and its perfect. I highly recommend D & S.

I purchased the Angie's special in March that had 200 sq feet for $349.00 The owner came by the house to review and give me a final price. He added $40 to move the refrigerator and $130 for all new shoe molding since he had to take the old off to sand and refinish the floor. I asked him to wait until May to do the work and there was no problem with that. They arrived at 7:30 on Wednesday, May 14, 3 men and TOTALLY covered everything in the work area with plastic. They put plastic on the doors to the living room and dining room. They covered all my kitchen cabinets, everything. They worked quickly and efficiently, sanding and then staining and then one coat of polyurethane. They left at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, May 15, the head of the crew, James, came back to lightly sand the floors and then put the second coat of polyurethane on. Again he was here at 7:30 and was gone by 8:15. I had asked them to match the color I had down already and it was a perfect match. The floors look absolutely beautiful and I can't wait until I'm able to walk on them and use my kitchen again. They told me I have to wait 10 hours to walk on the floor. We will wait 24 hours because it's so humid right now and we don't mind waiting. When I decided to replace my carpeting, I will absolutely call Masood again. I have no complaints.

I am thoroughly pleased with the work D&S Floor Covering Inc did on refinishing my hardwood floors. I had hired another company to refinish my floors and the job they did was awful. I called D&S Floor Covering Inc to repair the damage that the other contractor did and couldn?t be happier with the results. The other company didn?t do a proper job on sanding, and then they did not clean the dust up off the floors before staining/finishing the floors. Additionally, there previous job had patched work which looked like random spots of stain throughout the floor. It looked TERRIBLE. Masood?s team corrected all of these issues. Now my floors look great. Now the stain is even throughout smooth and it has a smooth, clean finish! In addition to their beautiful work, Masood and his team were professional, timely and a pleasure to deal with! I started out thinking my floors were destroyed but D&S Floor Covering Inc restored them to new!

They were kind of busy so they came out after a week I purchased the Big Deal to do the estimate but they were able to get me an appointment to do it really fast. I had it all done within two weeks. They worked with me on getting an appointment at the time that I had requested. They were right on time. It was an excellent Deal; it was a great price, I am glad I did it. They did a good job; they did it one day and came back the second day and finished it. It looks like a new floor. They did an awesome job; they were very professional and they did clean up too. The only part that I found negative was that we had to keep away from the floor for eight hours maybe and we have two dogs so we stayed in the family room till midnight or so and went back. It was a great job done. I am looking to do my redo my kitchen floor too; I have bought another Big Deal.

I bought a big deal and we were not able to agree on additional charges . We did not move forward and AL refunded the big deal I am a provider on AL as well I think the deal was sold to cheap forcing the contractor to have unrealistic up charges for no real reason. Best of luck to them and I am being kind. The AL customers will eat you alive my friend.

"James" ( Bae) and his crew of two others were professional, quiet and set to work immediately. The floors originally (17 years ago) were natural red oak with a water based urethane. James told me it looked like oil based urethane, regardless of what we had ordered. He also said that in order to match the floor to the contiguous floors, he recommended oil based. He did a test spot for me showing oil/water based and he was so right. The match was PERFECT. They put plastic sheeting around all the openings to other parts of the house to stop sanding dust. It worked very well. We had even covered all of the dining room in plastic sheeting and didn"t see any signs of dust in there. I was amazed at how neat and clean this job was. My space was slightly larger than the 200 square feet, so there was an additional cost for that plus the new shoe molding. This was a GREAT experience and now I won"t hesitate to go ahead and redo any parts of the rest of the hardwood in the house that may need touching up...because now I know an exact match can be done without having to do all of the hardwood flooring on the first floor. I would make sure that "James" and his crew would be the ones to do any future work for me...they were exceptional!

He called and we mutually agreed that he would come by 7:30 in the evening, and he showed up on time. We have a large area of hardwood, and he wanted to refinish the entire area, instead of the 200 sq feet as advertised and what we requested initally. He was cordial and professional.

I have had a lot of work done at my house lately, some positive and some negative. My experience with D&S Flooring was 100% positive. My brother had already done some research for me, so I knew that I wanted Mohawk Smart Strand carpet. Had also visited a carpet showroom to look at samples. I got an estimate from another highly rated Angie's List company and D&S. With D&S, you deal directly with the owner, Masood Shojanezhad. He is the person that comes to the house, and he gave me an estimate on the spot. His estimate was $600 cheaper for the top level Smart Strand carpet than the estimate from the other company for the mid-level Smart Strand carpet. Masood is an exemplary example of customer service. He is very friendly and engaging, and it is very important to him that the customer is happy. My carpet came in pretty quickly, especially given that they were coming from Georgia which was paralyzed by two ice storms. I had to delay installation because of issues with other work that was being completed in my house. Masood could not have been nicer or more understanding. His workers arrived on time the agreed upon day of installation. They were great workers, and the lead installer had a great sense of humor. My brother and I had some running jokes with him throughout the day. They worked from 9 am until around 4:30, only taking a brief break for lunch. They did a beautiful job. I cannot see any seams. My entire upstairs looks like one continuous piece of carpet. They also brought a vacuum cleaner and vacuumed all of the carpet before moving the furniture back. They hauled away all of the old carpet and padding. Wish all of the recent projects in my house had gone so smoothly. I highly recommend this company.

Masood was great. He came over to our place the same day we met him at his shop so we could test out different carpet choices in the actual rooms they would be installed in. He gave us a very reasonable price and delivered the carpet very quickly. His installation team did a superb job and it looks great.I highly recommend D &S Floor Covering and would use them again in a flash.

He was on time and very polite. We just ended up finding a better deal with someone else. I wish he would have mentioned the number of layers of polyurethane included.

We had been doing some improvements to our kitchen, and it was time to replace the existing flooring. We found D&S Flooring on Angie's List, and made an appointment to have someone come out to show us samples and give us an estimate. Masood was right on time, and showed us samples of the type of flooring we wanted. He measured and then provided an estimate of the cost. He looked at an area where the existing tile had been lifted up, and thought the luan sheathing looked to be in good shape and may not require replacing. When we were ready to move forward, we visited the D&S Flooring showroom in Fairfax Station and confirmed our selection. Masood told us it would take about 10 days to receive the product, and he would call so we could set up the installation. We scheduled for first thing in the morning. On the day of installation, we had an unexpected snow storm, which created terrible traffic problems throughout the area. We figured that they would be delayed. We received a phone call from Masood letting us know that his team was on the way, but stuck in traffic. He provided an estimated arrival time. In preparation for the installation of the flooring, we had pulled up the old floor, which was 12x12 vinyl tiles. The sheathing was very sticky with leftover adhesive. When Masood's team arrived, they looked over the floor and had some concerns about their ability to properly position the new vinyl flooring, but decided to move forward. After thoroughly cleaning up any small bits or shreds of tile left behind (which would have eventually showed up as bumps in the new flooring), and patching small divots in the sheathing, they were able to get the floor installed and glued down. We had some quarter round shoe molding that we had stained to match our cabinets, and the installers were happy to use that and some primed white molding to finish the job. When there was a question about how to finish up a particular corner, in light of our ongoing reno project, they asked first, and we were very happy with that. The installation team did a great job of cleaning up bits and scraps of flooring left over as they trimmed the sheeting to fit our floor. They did an excellent job. This was a positive experience from start to finish, and I would have them back again for any future work in my home.

I'm very pleased with the price, professionalism, and quality of the flooring. Masood helped me choose a hardwood floor to match my cabinets and countertops, as well as a good quality carpet to match the hardwood and wall color. The results are outstanding. His prices were competitive, and the service was top notch. His workers showed up on time, worked quickly, and did excellent work. My floors have already received several compliments from the few visitors I've had since the work was completed. I recommend D&S, and plan on using them again for future flooring jobs.

Masoud is a Master at taking care of the customer. My son had gotten an estimate from Lowe's of $11000 for 35oz and padding #4. I wanted to make sure that was a good estimate so I went to Angies list and located D & S Floors. His reviews were excellent. When I spoke with him on the phone he was very professional and was willing to accommodate all my needs. When I met him he was very helpful in assisting me in understanding the grades of carpet and padding. Furthermore he even let me take the huge carpet display and the best padding on the market to show my Son and his new wife. He then drove out to Manassas on a Saturday evening to meet my kids. A really nice touch to make young adults have a good feeling about who they are dealing with. He was able to give my kids 70oz carpet and #8 padding.. Almost twice what was offered by Lowe's for $8000. $3000 less better quality.The work performed was Excellent and I will always use Masoud in any future flooring work.. My wife is already picking out new carpet for our house and I have 4 more kids. Get ready Masoud. Thank you you're the BEST......

I enjoyed working w/Masood who came out and measured and recommended the flooring for our condo. He was so professional and truly an enjoyment to work with. He ordered the flooring on Friday and the following Tuesday the flooring was delivered. Jamal came as scheduled and began taking up the old carpet that was laid over a parquet flooring. He prepared the floor and began installing the next day. He had a helper. They cleaned up each day. It was quite a mess due to the fact we lived on the 8th floor and they cut the wood on the balcony. And the stairs had to have sawing on each 13 stairs so it did cause a lot of dust; however, they swept the floor and cleaned up most of their debris. I must say Masood was on top of the work and continued to stay abreast and checked with me often to make sure I was happy. The installer, Jamal, was a very hard worker and took great pride in his craft. The only suggestion I would make is that the installers should either let the owners know of the dust problem so they can lay plastic over furniture and over bookcases to decrease the amount of work to clean up when they completed their job.

Mr. Masood Shoja Nezhad, the store manager is extremely easy to work with. He is polite and responsive---very eager to please and wanting to do whatever it takes to satisfy me as a new customer. Though it didn't seem as if selling and installing sheet vinyl was not a big part of his business, he made extra efforts to obtain samples of sheet vinyl that matched the description of what we were looking for. Another flooring retailer/installer highly rated on Angie's List was also seemingly willing to work with us, they did not match the effort Masood made nor match his price. In an effort to keep the cost down, I wanted to prepare the concrete floor myself for installing the sheet vinyl. Masood was helpful in telling me how to proceed. As it turned out, I didn't do an A+ job in preparing the floor, so the installer and his helper filled in some minor indentations where I had filled in holes drilled by the previous homeowner. They did this quickly and without any charge. The installation crew were polite and professional. They did their work with care and cleaned up everything quite nicely. There was one snag, the particular installer said he didn't work with carpet so he didn't install the carpet transition strip. He was under the impression that I planned to do that chore myself. Masood had a carpet installer at my house the next morning, who quickly finished the work, again without any additional charge. Overall, my wife and I couldn't be more pleased with how the floor turned out and the service provided by Masood.
