Wow! Look at the hardwood flooring we had installed on 4-15-24 on the stairs and the whole second floor. It only took 2 days! The whole job cost $10,680 for hardwood upstairs the stairs to the first floor. We paid $2100 for high quality vinyl for the stairs going to the basement with the landing, plus tax. I got 2 other quotes from well-known companies. The estimates for the exact same job were $18,473 and $22,250. The company with the highest quote was very nice and informative. He told me his crews have been with him for 20 years. I was tempted, but just couldn’t pay close to double the price. The 3 man crew that came Monday worked FAST. The lead man has been with his boss for exactly 20 years, since he was 16 years old. He did all of the stair work, beautifully. The second day he came alone and finished the job. We Love our new floors!

Wow! We cannot say thank you enough to Masood and his installation team. From the first of many visits to Masood's store with question after question he patiently helped us along to better understand what carpet is and how to compare it to other vendor products. He listened to our situation and gave great advice. We made no bones about shopping with other vendors and Masood stood true to his word that we would not find a better product at a better price. Of three other vendor quotes we settled with Masood. And, he met our need for a very quick install. My family and I love our new carpet and cannot imagine the job being done by anyone else. After 18 years of good care, we decided to change our home carpet. This is the second time, D&S Floor Covering has help me with carpet projects. Bought a home that needed top to bottom renovations, including almost 2000 sq ft of new hardwood, another 2000 of old hardwood floors/steps/banisters refinished, another 2000 of luxury vinyl installed, and carpet steps ripped out and replaced with hardwood. Of ALL our MANY contractors (tile, electric, painting, handymen, etc), Masood was the one person who's team showed when he said he would 100% of the time, did a great job the FIRST time (one crew ripped up old carpet and installed all the hardwood in ONE day, and another crew installed the vinyl in ONE day as well - honestly, I didn't think that much could be done in so short a time). He provided great pricing and wonderful service, advising me which flooring would be more durable and ordering in a flooring I liked best rather than pushing me into something easier to get. Masood is very easy to work with and made sure everything was done well. We had used him at a previous house and been happy there as well, but the new flooring in this house made a huge difference. Highly recommend D&S!

D&S Flooring was recommended by a friend - and I am so glad to have had them do the flooring in my basement. Masood the owner returned my request or information very quickly, and scheduled a time with me to measure the floor. I already knew the LVP the I wanted, and he brought the sample to help me choose a coordinating carpet. He provided a fair price for the flooring and labor. Two different teams did the work - one team did the LVP flooring and one team did the carpeting. My basement looks brighter, and bigger, and I am very pleased with the entire process from order to completion. D&S Flooring definitely deserve a 5 star review for all they did on my basement. D&S Floor Covering gave us a detail break down about what they would do and how much their works cost. Because our house was a rental property for over 10 years and the floor condition was really bad. D&S Floor Covering did a careful evaluation and gave us different proposals with cost breakdown. We like the details so we can choose what we need. The job was done very fast and the end result was stunning. They are very professional and on time. We are very happy and will use them again in our own house flooring update.

All services rendered were amazing. Pricing was fair and work preformed was prompted and done with a lot of attention to detail. I will be returning for my next project for my kitchen floor remodeling.

We had to call them several times and they kept promising to send someone and they never did. Finally in thee final call when I asked again for someone to fix it they said I should get someone else. Do not use this vendor, very shady and do not stand by their work. Also I have been told that the owner has been out of town and they have no ideas when he will return. DO NOT USE THIS VENDOR!

The service and quality of the product was excellent. I received a quote from Masood, the store manager, in less than 24 hours. Five days later the product arrived and installation was scheduled for the next day. The crew was efficient, polite and very professional. Masood called to check on the work and stopped by to inspect it. Overall, I am very satisfied with the product and service. I highly recommend D&S Floor Covering Inc.

They were professional, with quality product and installation. They even worked with my irregular schedule and came to show me samples and to sign the contract at night and on the weekend. They recarpeted 3 bedrooms, the stairway, and the upstairs hallway and it looks great.

They did a fantastic job. They were professional and we would definitely use them again. We would highly recommend them.

Did two homes, getting ready for 3rd house. Good Job, Good selection and pricing

A lot happened here that to be fair, I will narrate my experience as it happened. What we were looking for: We were on the market for new flooring - carpet to hardwood (engineered or real) as long as it provides soundproofing. At the same time, we needed the work to be done in a very tight timeframe. We visited Mr. Masood's shop and he suggested going with a real wood vs. engineered. At the same time, he suggested an underlayment that will address our concerns for sound - an underlayment, he claimed to be top of the line. Installation: Mr. Masood was very accommodating to our tight timeframe, which we appreciate. On installation day, the installer mentioned to us that they were there to install floors to one room, not an entire floor. The installer stressed that he does not have enough for the entire area. Given our time restrictions, I gave them the ok to start with one room, and the other room can be finished at a later date. Of course, the situation made me uncomfortable that I called Mr. Masood, left a message. He returned my call as soon as possible, ensuring us that he ordered enough, the installer is just confused on how much one box can cover. The work went on .... Throughout, I would from time to time check on the progress. I noticed few odd things that I decided to shove them off: - I noticed that a worker had started bringing unopened underlayments back to the van. I also noticed a roll of different type of underlayment out of the van at some point. I did not pay much attention to all of this and did not bother to ask the installer. However, few hours later, as I was checking the progress again, I accidentally noticed that the installers were using "the" different type of underlayment. I would like to stress though, we were in the house and accessible the entire time, yet they did not bother to check with us before switching the underlayment. When confronted, one installer mentioned that it is the same thing, they just used a different one because the first they used is too hard to work on. The nail keeps bending ... That did not sit well with me on so many level that I called Mr. Masood once again. The installers agreed to use what was agreed upon for the rest of the job. When asked about the size of the area used with the different underlayment; we were told that it was just for a small portion. However, as I scan through the pictures I took along the way (yep, I took pictures as the work went on), I noticed that almost half of the room did not have the correct underlayment, and not just a small portion as we were told to believe. I followed up with Mr. Masood in an email narrating my entire experience... He later followed up with a phone call, apologetic and willing to correct the situation, which we appreciated. Mr. Masood agreed to redo the areas where the incorrect underlayment were laid the weekend after the installation. Soundproofing: As I mentioned above, we were very specific that we are looking for something that will address noise. Well, currently the noise travels straight thru. The top of the line underlayment did not make a difference at all. As we were talking to Mr. Masood, I mentioned using cork underlayment. For some reason, he told us that cork needs to be glued down, and it can get very messy when we replace the flooring in the future. Ultimately, we made the decision to trust his expertise ... although I am not sure if it was the right decision. I am not sure either if the cork underlayment can only be glued down. I don't think so, but I am not an expert. Quality and look: At first glance and in person, the floors looks good. However, when I take a picture it does not look so good (see below). I am not sure if this has anything to do with the type of wood we chose, but it appears as though more of the dark colored woods (ones that should be accounted for waste and used sporadically) were used in the majority of the area. I see more dark colored woods that light. It makes me wonder if, in fact, as the installer stated he did not have enough woods that he had to work with what he had. At the end of the job, we did not have any spare to use for future repairs. In previous installation we had on a different floor, we had plenty. Additionally, if you look closely, you notice holes, imperfections on the floor (see below). Again, I am not sure if that is normal and is typical of the type of wood we chose. It just did not meet my expectations. I did not want a rustic look like floor, I like modern, sleek and uniform.

Overall, very well. Some miscommunication regarding process and where the furniture needed to go, but otherwise just fine.

Masood was fantastic to work with. Incredibly friendly, helpful, and providing all the necessary details. He came to our house twice to 1) give us an estimate then 2) to ensure we did all the proper prep work and had the necessary materials for the job. The person who came to do the work did an amazing job, was punctual, friendly, and professional. A very positive experience all around!

The owner personally came to our home and walked through the area to measure and show us the examples. Once we picked the flooring he quickly provided an estimate. The work team let us know exactly when they would begin work and arrived right on time. The flooring and carpet removal as well as laying the new hardwood was completed in one day. The sanding and refinishing took two days for the final coat of finish and sanding. They did a good job of keeping the dust contained and cleaning up after the job. The crew was polite and courteous and eager to make right any errors or adjustments we requested. We will be going back for any future flooring needs.

We purchased our home quickly as we were moving to the area in a short amount of time. Unfortunately, the sellers masked the damage their cats did to the carpets with air freshener/ sprays, and we did not know the full extent of the damage to the floors until we moved into the home. We were in a rush to replace the carpets and pads as the smell was disgusting. We found D & S through Angie's list, and went to the showroom with the Angie's list deals in mind to see if we could find nice carpets and hardwood for our home. From the moment we met Masood, we felt that he had our best interests at heart. He showed us many, many carpet samples, and asked about our lifestyle to recommend the best one for us. He then came out to our home, and brought several carpet and hardwood samples to see what fit best in our home. Within a week and a half, we had new carpets and amazing matching hardwood ( he really rushed this for us!!)! His installers were on time, and when I told them about the previous cats and their damage, they notified me when the carpets and pads were ripped up so I could vacuum up the cat dander, and then they helped me seal the stained areas with Kilz that I provided on the plywood subfloor. Although this cost them more time, they treated my home as if it was their own and they really helped me do this extra work. My home now smells clean, and the carpet is so soft and amazing. The new hardwood matches the other flooring perfectly. I could not be happier with D & S Floor Covering!!! When we get the funds to do the sun room and the basement, I'm calling Masood again!!!

We hired D&S too refinish our hardwood floors in the living and dining room of our home last year. They did an excellent job so we decided to hire them again to refinish our hardwood stairs and to install new flooring in our basement. They did another excellent job. Their quote was competitive and Masood (the owner) worked with our schedule very well. We highly recommend them.

The process went well. We picked the carpet, it came in within a week and they completed the installation within one day. Overall very satisfied.
