Frank was extremely punctual, he quoted a fair (not a cheap) price, negotiated with the tile company for a discount on the purchase of the tile. His crews were extremely competent, neat, conscientious, and pleasant to deal with. Frank quoted that the job would take three weeks, and he completed the job in two. I highly recommend his business if you are interested in a quality job for a reasonable price.
Description of Work: FBT Tile and Marble installed porcelain tile in my basement. The job was very large- more than 2000 square feet, and the tile I had chosen was difficult to install.

Frank Brennan arrived on time to do the estimate, and we were able to talk with him about all the many requirements we had. He was very accomodative. He told us when he could start the job, and thatt it would take our bathroom out of service for 3 days. Upon starting the job, we realized he had planned to remove more of the original tile in the bathroom than we wanted, in order to address all the plumbing and electric. He talked with his on-site forman, and they came up with a creative idea that allowed them the access they needed, but kept the original tile we wanted. All this was done while still keeping to the three day schedule. We are extremely pleased with our new tub, and are enjoying it immensely.
Description of Work: FBT estimated the replacement of an 8-year-old Jaccuzzi tub which couldn't be repaired because it had a cardboard bottom. It was a soaking tub mountd in a confined area, so we had to get a tub with the same footprint. However, we wanted to get a tub with water jets, as both my wife and I would enjoy the soothing effect of moving hot water. we wanted the installation to match with the current decor in the bathroom, and to loose as little of the existing tile as possible. We also wanted a hand shower attachment mounted in the tub, to make it easier to bathe and shampoo while in the tub.

FBT, Inc. Tile and Marble performed tile installation and bathroom remodeling on our master bath and guest bath. Frank walked us through all of our options regarding both bathrooms during the estimate and worked with us to get the best solution for our budget. FBT has an amazing portfolio of work and Frank really knows how to guide you in the right direction to truly make your visions reality. His estimate was dead on for time and budget. It took about two weeks from start to finish. FBT, Inc. has a great relationship with a local kitchen, bath and tile showroom. Our project started there where we worked with a design consultant and we were able to select some discontinued tile at a discount. The tiles were high quality and very attractive. We also selected a toilet, bathroom fixtures and additional glass decorative accent tiles for both bathrooms. The FBT crew started right on time and had to be the best crew I've ever had in my house. These guys were more than just contractors, they were true craftsmen who clearly take pride in their work. There were up to 3 guys working at any given time and I felt completely comfortable having them in my home. Any time I had a question, they would be able to answer it in detail. Whether it was tile, plumbing, electrical, anything. These guys know their stuff and they are super nice and conscientious. Each day when they wrapped up they would leave their work area all cleaned up and vacuumed and looking great. I can't stress enough how great each of these guys were to work with! We came up with some ideas that included removing a wall and adding frame-less glass to the master bath. FBT was able to match the picture we had in our heads exactly and it looks incredible. The transformation is just amazing. These guys are not only super to work with and know their stuff better then anyone I've ever worked with before, they are true artists and craftsmen. Every inch of the job is perfect. That's important to us because this is a project that is going to last us for decades and we wanted to do it right. There are tons of companies and individuals who say they can install tile for you. When it's all said and done I think you have to keep in mind that this project is going to last for decades and you'll be seeing it and using it every single day. It's worth every single penny to get these kinds of projects completed by a team of professionals that really know what they're doing so that you will always be happy for years to come. We researched this project like crazy before we made this investment. FBT, Inc. is simply the best way to go, period.

Job went well from estimate to completion. Everyone answered all of our questions and was willing to work within the budget we had available. Mr. Brennan and his crew were respectful, knowledgeable, and professional. Our family is very happy with the results. Excellent job. Highly recommend.
Description of Work: FBT tile was excellent. They completely remodeled our 1960's (updated in the worst ways of the 80's) bathroom--new tub, flooring, fixtures, etc. Frank Brennan gave us a fair and prompt estimate. We consulted with a number of contractors, and found Mr. Brennan's estimate to be in the higher middle-range. Impressed by what we'd seen and heard of FBT, we eventually selected them and are glad we did. We can't say enough good stuff about Mr. Brennan's crew--prompt, respectful, skilled, efficient, and professional. They worked steadily for four days, and the result is a beautiful bathroom soundly finished, on schedule, and on budget. They are among the elite few we would allow to work in our home if we were not present. We would not hesitate to use them again nor to recommend them to friends and family. Mr. Brennan runs a quality operation.

The whole project went very well. Frank Brennan was thorough from the estimate to the conclusion of the project and it is obvious that he knows his field and is up-to-date on current standards and products. He was the only estimator to check how far apart my floor joists were spaced and recommended that the Dirta XL sub flooring and TEC XT grout be used to avoid future problems with the grout cracking since the joists are 24" apart. The pricing was very competitive and there were no extra labor charges for installing the tile in a diagonal pattern. Since FBT does kitchen and bath remodeling, the installers are comfortable assembling and installing new toilets, rather than just putting the old ones back in place. Frank recommended the Kohler Cimarron chair height toilets, but also priced the Toto Drake toilets at my request. These facts were key in steering my decision toward FBT, as well as the fact that FBT has been rated highly on Angie's List. The work started and ended as scheduled and the installers stayed with my project until it was finished. Four people were present the first three days and two people the final day and a half. The installers were very polite and real professionals who took pride in doing a great job and treated my home well. They worked well together as a team. Although I had covered most items in plastic since I had been warned that tile installation can be dusty, they covered anything I missed. They put down drop clothes every morning to cover my carpet and picked them up each evening. I especially appreciated that they vacuumed up all the debris each evening and left the house neat. I'm very happy with the finished product. My floors all look fabulous and the new toilets are great. Definitely recommend FBT.

Frank arrived on time for the estimate, answered all of my questions. A detailed estimate was provided the next day via email, we had a few follow up questions that Frank promptly answered. The actual work started about 4 weeks after we decided to use FBT tile; this was due to the work schedule and the shipping time to get the tile we selected from Spain. The work team (between 4 and 6 workers depending on the day) arrived on time the first day and every day thereafter, starting at about 7:30 am, working to about 4 pm each day. The team was polite and courteous, each outfitted in an FBT Tile Uniform. Frank came every day to evaluate the progress of the job, answer questions and make suggestions on how to approach tricky situations The tile was a unique shape (47" x 7") that required a lot of hand work to lay properly and level. The results were outstanding, tile to tile seams cannot be felt when you run your foot across them. Cuts around the walls, on the stairs, around the wet bar bar were extremely precise. So precise and well fitted that installation of quarter-round molding around the walls is not required. Due to the size of the area not all furniture could be removed; the FBT team moved the furniture, including a refregerator and freezer, as necessary. Closets, books etc were covered with painter's plastic sheeting to keep the dust out. Upon finishing the job they placed the furniture where we wanted it. All trash and remnants were hauled away by the team--every day. Final clean-up was beyond my expectation, when the team left for the last time you couldn't tell they had spent two weeks working at the house. Overall we were extremely pleased with FBT Tile and Marble and would not hesitate to use them again or recommend them to anyone considering tile work.
Description of Work: The floors in my finished basement were replaced, including a bedroom, wet bar area, stairs and landing, and an entertainment area. They removed existing floor covering in my basement (carpet, tile, Pergo) ~1100 sq ft, hauled away all debris Applied crack isolation material over the few cracks in the basement floor, and Installed and grouted porcelain tile throughout the basement. The entire project took 2 weeks start to finish.

Frank Brennan provided a professional and fair estimate of the costs. I had 3 estimates to choose from and chose him. He was responsive to my e-mail questions about his estimate, about his credentials and licensing, and about the job. The cost of tile was not included in the estimate as I prefer buying my own tile rather than worrying about a "tile allowance". He was flexible enough to agree to authorize me to use his contractor discount (which the tile company honored) and he picked up the tile I purchased. They started on time, finished on time and did a professional job. I would definitely use him again.

I found FBT Tile and Marble on Angie’s List and I am so happy I did. I just bought my townhouse and decided I wanted to remodel the master bath. I was working with a very tight budget and Frank made great recommendations for my price range. He didn’t try to pressure me into anything I couldn’t afford and was very nice to work with. His crew did a great job of covering everything and cleaning up.
Description of Work: FBT Tile and Marble removed existing tub, tile, and vanity and replaced the tub, and installed the floor and wall tile as well as the vanity. A new outlet was installed along with a light in the shower that is connected to the fan. They did a very thorough job and even found a small leak in my hall shower and fixed it for me. I forgot a few items I was supposed to supply and Frank also picked up those items for me so it did not delay the project. The project was completed in three days and their work is beautiful. I am so excited about my new bathroom! I can’t wait until I have more money so Frank can remodel my hallway bathroom.

Frank Brennan’s company, FBT Tile & Marble in Woodbridge, Va., was recommended to us by Kramer & Sons Plumbing in Alexandria, Va., which we had found on Angie’s List. Because we had experienced interior water leaks off and on since purchasing our 1939-era townhouse condominium and were unsure of their source, we wanted to replace all potential sources of water leaks. We also love tile work and so we wanted a contractor that could bring quality craftsmanship and expert plumbing skills to the project. Frank Brennan and his crew had the combination of skills and professionalism that everyone hopes they are lucky enough to find when they undertake a disruptive and expensive project like kitchen and bath remodeling, especially when there is no second bathroom in the house. Frank and his crew started the project June 6 as promised, and they completed it seven days later, as promised. While we were selecting bathroom fixtures from Ferguson Enterprises in Alexandria, Va., and porcelain tiles from Mosaic Tile Co. in Fairfax, Va., and throughout the project, Frank responded promptly to e-mail questions and requests and phone calls. He earned our unqualified respect when he returned with the two-man crew that had been on the job all week to perform several minor tasks that we wanted done after inspecting the job. We appreciated Frank’s integrity and personal involvement in our project, including the e-mail message to which he attached his bill: “It was definitely a challenging [job] because of the year the home was built in. I think it turned out great and really like the tile you selected." Tile is Florim Sequoyah Riverbank porcelain tile, which has a kind of rustic, worn-stone look.
Description of Work: Bathroom remodel to replace steel tub with walk-in shower with grab bars, upgrade ceramic tile floor and walls, reseat existing toilet, and replace a rusty sink trap. Kitchen remodel to replace porcelain tiles and deteriorating grout on a galley kitchen counter top, replace leaking kitchen faucet with owner-purchased Moen hardware, and install a waterline to a new icemaker refrigerator that was to be delivered after the remodeling crew left.

Frank Brennan and his crew, CD and Walter were fabulous to work with! Frank was always available for questions/concerns. His crew was outstanding. They were reliable, dependable, conscientious, trustworthy, respectful, had a great work ethic and performed quality work! The same crew showed up everyday, on time! NO subcontractors! They worked all day, without lunch and cleaned up after themselves at the end of the day! I cannot say enough good things about them! We hired them on a recommendation from a neighbor who had hired them to renovate their bathrooms. They are the best kept secret in Northern Virginia! We will hire them in the future, for sure, when we are ready to redo the master bathroom. .
Description of Work: We had our hallway bathroom gutted and redone. They gutted the shower area, replaced the bathtub, toilet, cabinets, sink, shower walls & floor. We hired a granite company to install the new countertop. They installed a new light in the shower ceiling, and moved an outlet higher on the wall to accommodate the new backsplash.

From the very beginning this was the most amazing experience! From the estimate through the final walk-through, this the FBT contractor exceeded our expectations. His crew showed up on time and worked everyday Mon-Fri until the job was completed…and the job was finished ON TIME. The constant communication with the contractor was totally unexpected and greatly appreciated. He talked with us every day - sometimes multiple times - about what was or was not done, always letting us know when or why something did not go as scheduled. He constantly kept us informed of what to expect next. His crew cleaned up after themselves every night before they left. And not only was the work area and the garage (which was used as the staging area) cleaned, but other parts of the house, that they accessed while working, were also cleaned. Frank worked very effectively with several subcontractors (i.e., plumber and electrician) and multiple suppliers of custom fixtures and cabinetry to create our new bathroom. While we provided the majority of the new fixtures and tile, Frank graciously worked with us to ensure the appropriate items and quantities were secured. He also worked closely with us to ensure our unique design was implemented to our specifications and standards. He listened to our ideas and accommodated us whenever and where ever it was possible. He also provided several insightful suggestions, which we feel improved our design. The FBT crew flawlessly turned our ideas into a one-of-a kind bathroom; their workmanship is impeccable and the bathroom is awesome!! The tile design and installation is more beautiful than we ever imaged. The finished bathroom looks like it belongs in a five-star hotel. Everyone that has seen it thinks it is the most beautiful bathroom they have ever seen! And we agree!!!
Description of Work: FBT performed a complete remodel of our outdated 80s bathroom. Before they started the demolition, they enclosed our bedroom with a plastic wall with a zipper so that we could use our bedroom during the renovation. They removed all fixtures (a whirlpool tub and huge corner deck, toilet, vanity with double sinks), a linen closet, shower, and all floor and wall tile. They replaced a large non-operable window with two double hung windows, closed off a window and installed a new window in a different location. A wall between the bathroom and closet was moved back (to eliminate the jog into the bathroom) and the closet wall refinished; the bedroom door leading to the bathroom was moved to align with the new window. All bathroom drywall and flooring was removed so that plumbing and electrical work could be done. A new wall was built to enclose the new shower and house the plumbing for the shower (rain shower, and 2 hand-showers), two vanity sinks and wiring for the lighted medicine cabinets. Plumbing lines and drains were moved and created to accommodate a two-person walk-thru shower, electrical and plumbing was moved to install an air tub in a new location, additional wiring was added for 6 new recessed ceiling lights, and sub-flooring and drywall was replaced. Subway marble tile was installed on the four shower walls. One-inch marble tiles were used on the shower floor. On the back wall of the shower, a mosaic was created at each doorway of the 10’ X 3 ½’ shower, and a 3’ X 1 ½ ‘ niche created in the middle of the back wall was tiled with the one-inch mosaics. New drywall was hung and subway tile was installed 42 inches high around the bathroom walls, including the pony-wall that separates the tub from the toilet. Marble slabs were installed on the top and sides of the tub deck and shower doorway entrances. The bathroom walls above the tile were painted as well as the molding around the windows and door. The wall between the bedroom and bathroom was dry-walled; they did not paint this wall since I was changing the color of the bedroom.

I am happy with the end product. The floor looks great. The first day, they prepared the rooms by placing plastic barriers everywhere to protect the cabinets, appliances that couldn't be moved (like the above oven microwave), and to seal off other rooms. They also moved out the appliances that could be moved (refrigerator, washer/dryer, etc.). They then took out two layers of floors and subfloors. I was concerned about this part, because our kitchen and laundry had had so many layers of floors sitting there for years. But it went well. They removed all of the floors and took them away, and cleaned up afterward. Then they put the new subfloor down and the porcelain tile with the grout, and they cleaned up after that. The floor looks amazing, and it makes the two rooms look so much better. They had found some unexpected things -- after removing the floors and subfloors, one part of the kitchen was at a slightly different level then the rest of the kitchen and there were two squeaky areas -- all of these unexpected things were fixed at no extra charge. They also finished up in 3 days rather then the projected 4 days, and they worked quickly each day.
Description of Work: Remove two layers of floors and subfloors in the kitchen and laundry room. Install porcelain tile and subfloor for it. The price included everything except for the tile, which I provided.

Frank was highly recommended to me by the plumber who I have used on several occasions. He responded quickly to my call and provided good suggestions regarding what was needed as well as a complete, itemized estimate. He was patient while I went through the process of selecting tiles, cabinets, granite, etc with the suppliers and responded to all of my questions. He was flexible regarding a start date that met my schedule. While Frank's prices are most likely not the cheapest available, the quality of the work and professionalism of his team were worth the cost. The crew arrived on time every day, adjusting their arrival time to my schedule. They were polite, worked hard throughout each day (never saw them take any breaks) and clearly knew what they were doing. They kept me informed of their progress and sought my input on placement of accent tiles, shower niche, mirrors, etc. Although it's impossible to avoid dust on a project like this, they covered everything in my daughter's room with plastic and were great about cleaning up the dust and debris at the end of each day. I better understood the pricing when I saw the painstaking labor that goes into the installation of tiles. In addition to painting the walls and ceiling, they painted inside the closet and cabinets (back wall). Because the paint was a light color and difficult to see if touch ups were needed when it was wet, they checked with me to make sure that I was satisfied with the paint before they completed the job. Frank frequently stopped by to check on the quality of the work and to see if I had any questions or concerns. He didn't hesitate to return the first tub when he noticed an issue with it. One of the mirrors was delivered with a scratch on it and I decided that I did not like them. He returned the mirrors and waited to complete the job until new ones that I ordered were delivered. On the last day of the job, they repaired one of the doors that had been popping open for months. And then took the extra step to show me how to repair the doors myself if it happened again and provided advice on what was needed to repair my front door. Unrelated to the job but very helpful and great customer service. I would not hesitate to recommend Frank and his team and will definitely use them in the future should the need arise. I valued the quality of the work, the professionalism and the painstaking attention to detail.
Description of Work: This was a complete renovation of my daughter's Jack and Jill bathroom. I had noticed possible water damage in my garage ceiling (my daughter's bathroom is over the garage) and had a shower faucet that was stripped and would not turn off. The plumber who repaired the faucet and investigated the damage to my ceiling recommended Frank. Frank provided a complete estimate that included a detailed listing of the services to be provided, an itemization of the costs, allowances for granite, plumbing and tiles, and contact information for the suppliers of those items. His crew essentially gutted my bathroom and provided my daughter with a beautiful new one. Renovations included: Removal of existing tiles, tub, cabinets, flooring, all fixtures, cabinets, toilet, mirrors, light fixture, fan, etc. Drywall repairs to ceiling and walls. Repaired damage caused by the builder's failure to install moisture board behind the shower tiles. They sealed the wall tightly so that I won't have future issues. Installation of tub and shower/tub fixtures New tiles on the tub walls to ceiling, including accent tiles, niche, and shelf clear glass frameless shower door (Frank's idea and I love it; so much better than shower curtains) New exhaust fan and light in shower area Installation of toilet, cabinets, mirrors, towel bars, lighting, etc Installation of flooring to include new thresholds at the door Painting of ceiling and bathroom walls to include the walls inside the closet and the cabinets Electrical work - some of the outlets needed to be moved Repairs to the garage ceiling (treatment for mold, replacement of damp insulation and dry wall repair). In addition, Frank's crew repaired a portion of the garage ceiling that was not related to the water damage but needed to be repaired.

FBT was very responsive to my first call, and scheduled a free estimate the next day, taking time to discuss the options, patterns, installation procedures, and requirements. Frank delivered an estimate at that time, and followed up with a written estimate that evening. He scheduled the job to begin 2 days later. He and his crew (2 expert installers) arrived early on Friday, and the job was reviewed in detail by Frank, with my input, and answered all my questions. His team worked all day, without interrupting my work (home office) and left late Friday. They offered to come back Saturday if OK with me (it was), and Sunday if needed (it wasn't). The job was completed Saturday afternoon. The work was excellent, the team was extremely courteous, knowledgeable, and answered all my questions. The "fit and finish" of the final product is outstanding. The marble tile installation at the top of the staircase (the main foyer) looked better than the original install - and was cleaned and grouted to match the original. We are extremely pleased with the final results. The whole job was much better than i could have ever done myself, and saved me days (and probably a lot of frustration trying to do the same thing myself). I would absolutely recommend Frank dba FBT Tile and Marble to others, and will use him again when and if i need additional tile or marble work done in my home.
Description of Work: I'm a DIY homeowner, primarily because I prefer to take the time and effort required to do everything right the first time. But I wasn't sure I could handle a full bath tile job without having any prior experience. The project/service included a basement full bath installation over a concrete floor, including floor (matte 2x2 tile sheets), full-size shower floor (also matte 2x2 tile sheers over a sloping mud base to the central drain), shower seat (glazed ceramic 6x8 and 3x6 in pattern), and shower walls (same sizes and pattern) to 8-foot ceiling height. All grout completed once tile was installed. Total square footage of all tile installed was approximately 130 square feet. The bathroom floor was "leveled" prior to tile installation, since small tiles/sheets show every uneven surface imperfection. Also included repair of marble tile in first floor foyer where new staircase had been installed, so the existing marble tile had been removed around the door frame (the door to the basement). Multiple intricate and exact cuts were required to match the existing marble tile and fit under/around door frame to stair landing (a horse hoe cut pattern in 3/8 inch marble).

We needed to have a bathtub removed (that had been improperly installed) and wanted to restore our bathroom after some problems with a previous contractor. Frank came out to look at the bathroom and made some great suggestions. He gave us a very reasonable quote, which we ended up increasing when we selected the tile that had to be replaced (we selected more expensive tile). All in all, he and his team removed a large walk-in tub, reverted the plumbing back to the original location (it had been changed by previous contractor), which necessitated replacement of wall and floor tiles. We also asked for installation of a new toilet. Frank was very helpful in helping us determine how to get the materials we wanted and stay within a good budget. He worked with us on timing (since I am allergic to dust, they timed it for a period in which I was away), and his team arrived promptly on the day they started and finished precisely within the time frame they had set forth, a total of 4 working days. The quality of the job is superior to anything else we've ever had done. The work was meticulous and there wasn't a speck of dust when I returned home. Also, Frank's team was extremely professional and went out of their way to accommodate my allergies and protect the rest of the area around the bathroom from getting dusty. We love the work they did, it is really beautiful and just what we wanted. My husband and I cannot recommend them highly enough. We plan to use them anytime we are doing any kind of work like this, and in fact are planning on having them do some tile backsplash work in our kitchen soon. It was a true pleasure to work with Frank and his team and they did a fabulous job. It doesn't get much better than that.

These guys very responsive, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. I had to postpone the project several months before I was able to choose an appropriate tile. They worked around my schedule, were prompt and efficient with their time. When the grout I bought didn't turn our right, they special ordered a matching grout stain and returned to stain the grout. It looks great.
Description of Work: Installed glass tile on kitchen backsplash and stained grout.

FBT, Inc. Tile & Marble is the best kept secret in the Woodbridge/Springfield area. I heard about this company through my plumber who was not able to perform the tile work. I began the process by obtaining a free estimate from Frank Brennan. In addition to quoting very fair prices, Frank provided me wonderful ideas for renovating my original (drab) townhouse bathroom. Frank remained patient as I vacillated between wanting a tub (for resale purposes) and shower. Once we settled on what work would be done, Frank sent me to Mosaic Tile (a fantastic supplier with interior decorator assistance and fabulous prices) to select my wall and floor tiles. After receiving the estimate, I was anxious to get started because I had a leak in the faucet in the tub, and it was likely leaking behind the shower wall. I also discovered that I had a trip coming up for work the following week and asked Frank if he could schedule my job last minute. I only have one bathroom, so it was essential that I scheduled this job when I was going to be on travel. I honestly didn't thnk that Frank would be able to swing it, but I kept my fingers crossed that he would take pity on me. Sure enough, Frank came to my rescue & scheduled the job the following week, in record time. I believe Frank has at least 6 crews, so chances are good that scheduling will not be unduly delayed. A certain competitor which shall remain nameless could not promise the work to be scheduled for at least another 8 weeks. FBT, Inc. Tile & Marble's prices are exceptional and it's very unlikely that they will be undercut. I was very thorough in getting multiple estimates and, without hesitation, believe that this company's prices are the best in this area, notwithstanding exceptionally high quality work. The crew assigned to my job worked in record time (completed the job in 3 days), and did a beautiful job in transforming my ugly, dated bathroom to a beautiful oasis! In addition to replacing the tub, the crew replaced any rotted sub-flooring and any rotted wood behind the fiberglass tub. My floor has squeaked for 20 years and the squeak is finally gone, thanks to high quality work of this company. I will be forever grateful to FBT, Inc. Tile & Marble, and Frank Brennan, for their professionalism and assistance. There is only one downside to this experience and that is that I now would like to renovate my entire house!
Description of Work: FBT, Inc. Tile & Marble replaced my original fiberglass tub with a beautiful ceramic/steel white tub. and installed beautiful ceramic tile on the surrounding walls (with special niche for shampoo, etc.) and floor.

From start to finish, it was an easy, seamless process for us. We chose the tile and fixtures and Frank did the rest. He ordered everything, picked it up and brought it to our house, and his crew removed all the old items from our house. Contractors arrived exactly when Frank said they would and they worked all day each day they were here. They put down drop-cloths each day and hung up plastic barriers to protect the rest of the house from the construction dust. One day the technician was delayed because he was stuck in traffic and Frank called to let us know to expect him a little later. They checked with us before installing the mirror, glass shelf, light fixture, and towel bar so as to place everything exactly as we preferred it. They even painted some of the pieces behind the toilet so that they conformed with the oil-rubbed bronze color of the faucets and other fixtures. All work was done very professionally and exceeded our expectations. We will definitely call Frank again for any tile work or future remodeling we do. Work was started on Monday and finished Thursday!
Description of Work: Powder room remodel. Removed old tile floor and fixtures. Installed new marble tile floor (on the diagonal), fixtures (toilet, pedestal sink, pivot mirror, lighted wall sconce, towel bar, glass wall shelf), did drywall repairs (old medicine cabinet was replaced by pivot mirror), painted the room, installed crown and baseboard molding.

In my quest to get a bathroom remodeled in 7 days (start-to-finish from the first call that I made), I ran into Frank Brennan on Friday morning when I was in picking up my tile. He seemed to know all the people in the tile showroom, and when he made a comment about learning to say "no" to people, I turned to him and asked him if he wanted to do a tile job on Sunday (I was piece mealing the job with 11 contractors/suppliers). My husband and I had planned on attempting to do the tile work, but that was complicated by the fact that we didn't have any time to wait for the tile and grout to set so we were going to have to use quick-set, which we've never used before, so the idea of finding a contractor at the last minute was very appealing. I think Frank thought I was kidding, but when I assured him that I wasn't, he started making phone calls (I did ask him if he was on Angie's List and when he said he was, I felt much better about my spur-of-the-moment decision). Ultimately, we agreed that Monday would actually work better, allowing me to paint before the tile was installed. He had a proposal to me within an hour, and he and his team showed up right on time Monday morning. The tile looks great (basic 13' tiles, straight run). His crew was polite and kept the dust to a minimum and pretty well contained in the bathroom. I can't comment on the comparability of the price, since I did not get any other bids, but the fact that he was willing to take me seriously and get his team to our project within such short notice certainly accounted for a lot as far as I'm concerned.
Description of Work: re-tiled bathroom floor (price spent excludes the tile, which I purchased directly from Mosaic Tile)

The technician arrived on time. It took about two hours and when finished the shower area looked new again. Mr. Brennan arrived during the work to check on the progress and when he needed to go to Home Depot for additional supplies looked at some counter tops for me and took pictures for my inspection. This was a small job that no one seemed interested in doing. I feel that I received as much attention and professionalism as a customer that was having a much larger job done.
Description of Work: Bathroom shower tiles and floor were regouted and caulked. There was a danger of water intrusion through the shower floor because of missing grout.
