We had to postpone the original start date, but once we got things underway the whole crew was very responsive and I felt like they were dedicated to getting the job done right and on time. Project management stopped in daily. Solid company and I will use them again.

Called FBT. They were very prompt in calling me back. I believe they even called me back during off hours. Was very impressed. They were very professional and polite. The gentleman who performed my estimate even came by the same day I believe. The person who visited was the project manager and he took measurements and discussed the job. As they are a well known ceramic tile installer, the work requested was pretty straight forward. Overall estimate was a positive experience. Took most of the week to obtain the quote. By that time I had obtained the usual 4 or 5 others as I always try to do. When I got the quote, I have to say I was in shock. Both my wife and I did a double take as the price was almost three times the price of 3 of the other four estimates and double the other estimate. I emailed the estimator to ensure that there wasn't a mistake or we were reading something wrong. There was not mistake, that was the price. They did offer to come down a bit but they still were not anywhere near the rest of the companies. The other companies were all reputable, angies list reviewed, real company's and not a side deal with someone off other internet list sites so we were very confused. In short, I cannot review thier work as we went another direction but while I cannot speak to their quality, their cost seemed to be a premium one!

Mark promptly answered all my questions about the proposed work. Nelson and his crew were on time, worked consistently and cleaned up at the end of each day. Frank and Mark went out of their way to make sure I was happy with the final result - and I am!

The work was done in a timely fashion and despite the problems encountered, the work is gorgeous. We may have needed a little hand holding while selecting all the stuff for our bathroom, but it seems that although our selections were different, Frank's team had no problem making it all work. I wish they could do all the stuff needed in this old house!

These guys are master tilers and quintessential professionals. The Consultation:Mark, the project manager, came for the consultation and gave me the estimate by email. He scanned the project and asked questions about what my vision was, answered all of my questions, gave advice on what was appropriate. For instance, I had a plastic shower pan in the shower and he recommended that it be removed and replaced by tile. We discussed the ins and outs of glass doors and the proper placement of a bathroom fan. I couldn't afford to replace my vanity ( I really just wanted the doors and faucets replaced) and he was fine with that (where other company estimators told me it was "old" and needed to go). He understood that I wanted to keep my pretty baseboards while other company estimators told me I would have to replace them with tile. I felt like Mark was listening to me and giving me counsel but not pushing me into doing more than I was prepared to do. The estimate arrived by email and I'll have to admit that I was shocked at the $9,000 cost. I got four estimates and it was the first I received, so that's part of the shock. By the way FBT Tile was NOT the most or least expensive estimate that I got! And the quality of the work they did was spectacular, so I have no problem with the cost now. I gave them an "average" on price only because I think they should offer payment by credit card. I could have done the entire bathroom had I not had to pull $9,000 out of the bank at once.The Project:Fast forward to the project itself: Nelson and his team, Omar and Julio, performed quickly, quietly, neatly and beautifully, and completed the project in just 4 days! Floor tarps protected the rugs throughout my house and everything was left neat as a pin at the end of each day-- one afternoon I caught Nelson carefully dusting my dresser! At the end of the project my bathroom was move-in ready with no need for me to clean it.Mark happened to be on vacation that week, so Frank, the boss, stood in as customer liaison and supervisor of the crew. Frank is professional and friendly, and easily reviewed expectations of the project with me. Frank made it clear that his company's mission was to surpass customer expectations with quality and execution, and I'd say they did that! I enjoyed my interaction with him very much, but Nelson was the "real" supervisor because he managed his crew throughout the project effortlessly, with very effective results.The Result:I completely enjoyed my experience with the staff of FBT Tile but the true test of satisfaction came when I laid my eyes on the work that had been done. I can only describe it as "pure, beautiful quality". I've looked carefully at seams, tile cuts, leveling and plumbing of the lines, and I'm just thrilled. My beautiful baseboards aren't marred by that quarter-round moulding contractors put on floors because FBT used precision cuts that sat right against the base of my baseboards. That detail means so much to me! The subway tile that climbs 360 degrees around my shower looks so good that it's hard to believe it's "man-made"! They used a beautiful marble threshold I had asked for that another contractor had told me I didn't need. The fan they installed works well even while being quiet -- another nice touch.So, there's no question that FBT Tile did a great job and exceeded my expectations. I'd recommend them to anyone! I'm even hoping to use them to remodel my kitchen, if they'll just let me use my credit card!

From the initial phone conversation to the very end of the project...which was completed ahead of schedule...everything went better than we ever could have imagined!

I chose FBT because of the great reviews they have on Angie's List and I was not disappointed. They are great technicians, as well as professional and courteous. Mark and Frank made it very clear that customer service is their highest priority. When I asked to have the shower fixtures moved (after the job was completed), they happily came in the next morning, removed tiles and re-positioned the fixtures. Happily! How often does that happen? i highly recommend FBT.

I couldn't be more pleased with the result. FBT's focus on quality and client satisfaction was evident throughout the job. I really appreciated and benefited from Frank's and Jason's willingness and ability to constructively communicate with me. Possible issues or obstacles were addressed promptly and properly without extending the schedule. I rate FBT A+.

The biggest delay was the manufacture of the custom cabinets which wasn't the fault of FBT. Once the cabinets arrived, FBT started right away. Mark was in charge of the project and did 95% of all the work himself. Very professional and responsive to all inquiries. I would definitely hire them again!

Mark came out to do an estimate and followed up while we were getting other estimates for this project. We were impressed with his interest in this job which was not a major remodel. We wanted to make sure this was done correctly and wanted to get a highly rated company so there would not be any problems. Everything went off great. We picked out tile and grout at Mosaic Tile and went to Ferguson to pick out hardware. The workers kept everything very clean and put up several sheets of plastic so we could even continue to use our master bedroom while the work was being done on the master bath without dust getting everywhere. They were very responsive to our schedule. I stayed home the first day to give Mark the key to the house and to see if they needed anything or had any questions. The other days Mark used the key to let the workers into the house and locked back up at the end of the day while my husband and I were at work. There were no problems. The workers very very polite. Even though we kept the bathtub, vanities and commode, the bathroom looks like a completely different bathroom. We love the new look and especially the wonderful shower. We would not hesitate to recommend FBT to others.

We have worked with FBT Tile on several projects now. Previously, they did the tile in our bathroom as well as our kitchen (floor and backsplash). Our most recent project was the re-bricking of our fireplace with ledger stone. Once again, FBT Tile did an incredible job! Frank and his crew are always very tidy and extremely detail-oriented. The two days they worked on our home was during a pretty bad rain storm and we were expecting to see some mud or dirt when they left, but that was not the case at all. Our living room was as spotless as it was before they arrived! In addition, they finished ahead of schedule. What we love most about working with Frank is that he will offer design-related suggestions, which have all been wonderful thus far. Frank has true vision and creativity and we look forward to his suggestions with our projects. We can’t say enough good things about FBT tile and we can’t wait to work with them on remodeling our other bathrooms later this year! Frank is truly one of the best contractors we have ever dealt with – hands down.

Communication with both Frank and Mark went very well. Easy to talk with and always available when we had questions. Their estimate was not the least expensive, but the attention to detail was well appreciated and worth it. Removal and installation took place over a number of separated days (but that was because of something occurring on their end unexpectedly). (They usually don't like to leave a job until it is finished). But with us also having time limitations, we were able to easily work together and they got us in within a few days, finishing the entire group of jobs within 2 weeks (set back on our part when cabinet came in a week later than it was supposed to). Pleasant people who came in to do the work. Mark was present very often during the entire process (coming in to do some of the work himself!) I never felt uncomfortable to ask anything and questions were thoroughly answered. Thank you so much. I am definitely telling friends about you if they need any tile/bathroom/kitchen work done!

FBT Tile was fantastic to work with! They were punctual, polite, professional, tidy and conscientious. Frank and his crew did an outstanding job on the tile in our powder room as well as the tile in our kitchen (floor and glass backsplash) for a reasonable price. The glass we chose for our backsplash was very difficult to work with and FBT Tile installed it perfectly. Everyone who has seen the tile in our kitchen has been truly amazed. We are STILL in awe! We were particularly grateful for Frank’s creativity and his advice on how to best lay out our tile. We couldn't be more pleased with the quality of the work. We will definitely use FBT Tile when we are ready to remodel our other bathrooms. One of the best contractor experiences we have had to date!

Overall, the entire bathroom remodel went really well. I worked closely with Mark, who made me feel comfortable with the bathroom remodeling process, which I had never gone through before. The starting estimate provided was the lowest estimate. I had been told by others that there was "no way" I could still have a great looking bathroom in North Arlington for under $20K. Another great advantage of working with FBT Tile and Marble was how involved I was in the process. I wanted to be able to be very involved in the process before the construction phase (when buying and ordering all the bathroom parts). I was then able to schedule the construction portion of the remodeling process for when I was doing researching overseas for three weeks, which Mark was very amenable to. When I came back, the bathroom was beautiful! I asked Mark if his team could install knobs/handles that I had forgotten to buy beforehand, and if they could fix one portion of my door frame that was damaged during the remodeling. They installed the knobs/handles and fixed the door frame very quickly. In short, no complaints at all - the process was easy and very much worth it. Even more, I would strongly recommend FBT Tile and Marble to anyone looking for a bathroom remodel in their future. (Will update all with photos soon)

The project began on time, was completed on time and budget, required no change orders due to unforeseen conditions and the workmanship was flawless. I was most impressed with the level of front end planning and communication with FBT staff that meant that all decisions were made before the materials were ordered. This aided the "on budget" performance and lack of costly surprises. For those few times when discussion was necessary with a supplier (the dishwasher did not drain) FBT took care of everything and resolved the problem even though it was not their mistake. Construction is always a dirty undertaking, especially drywall and floor sanding but the FBT folks did a good job of cleaning up every day and leaving work areas neat and tidy. I would not hesitate to recommend FBT. They did a great job.

The service men arrived on time, actually early. They were well-dressed in clean uniforms, professional in their manner and extremely polite. They made sure they put down drop cloths to cover all areas where they walked in and out of the house. They were thorough in their work and performed the service within the two-hour stated period estimated. They also cleaned up after themselves so well, that you wouldn't know work was performed in the kitchen that day. We were very happy with the work and would recommend the company to others. Note: This company was the original installer of our kitchen tile floor and two bathrooms.

These guys were very easy to work with. They were able to start the project within a very short time after I accepted the proposal. I was very impressed with the crew that did the work. They were considerate, neat, and diligent - and worked incredibly hard. And - most importantly - we are very happy with the finished product.

I contacted 3 companies off of Angie's List and they were the first to respond. A convenient appointment time was scheduled and Jason arrived on time. It took him 45 minutes to remove remains of broken shelf and install the new one I had purchased. He did a great job cleaning up too. I would use them again in the future.

Our overall experience was excellent. The work commenced on schedule and was completed on schedule. I was at home during the entire time and was able to have continual input into the decisions that were made. My requests were welcome and fulfilled. The workmanship was excellent. I felt FBT was very easy to work with, and I trusted Mr. Brennan's opinion. He was very receptive to my input regarding the job. The work crew were friendly, polite, and hard working. The project was completed on time. We are delighted with the results.

Frank quoted us a very fair price. All communications with Frank were excellent from the quotation until the end of the job. Part of the process included sending us, at our convenience, to his designated tile center. The center designer helped us make our tile selections and recommended the best tile layout for our small bathroom. The job was started and completed within the agreed upon timeframe. His work crew was punctual, skilled and professional. Frank and his crew bent over backwards to make sure we were pleased with the job.

I'll be honest, I'm your average home owner that thinks that he can tackle any do-it-yourself job on his house. I was quickly brought back to reality when I started my master bathroom on my new (yet older) home. The tile that I purchased (a mixture of porcelain and glass mosaic tiles) proved to be a little too advanced of a tile for average joe to put up so I asked around to my friends and family and was given Frank's number (among many others). Frank immediately came to my rescue and provided me an estimate as well as advice on what I should do. He recommended that I waterproof the shower enclosure and quoted me a price on the whole job. After others came in and wandered around the bathroom I redialed Frank and asked that he put me on his schedule and we agreed on a date. Frank called me a few days later and told me that due to scheduling conflicts on his end that he could start a week earlier than planned, which worked perfectly for me as it got my project done a week sooner! His men were there bright and early on monday morning at 8AM promptly and began working. They were cautious of my home as well as extremely professional, answering questions, as well as gave me advice on current trends in the bathroom industry from what they've seen in the past. By friday the work was completed and I had a tiling job that was on par with an Arabian palace! The tiles were level, flush, and positively secured to the backing. Had I continued to think I was superman and attempted it on my own, I would of been there for 3 months and it still wouldn't of turned out as good as these masters made it. As a final note to the professionalism and the commitment to his customers, when I received the final invoice (which was EXACTLY what he said it would be with no surprise additions) I noticed that there was caulking that was on there that wasn't yet done. The next morning Frank was there in person and caulked my entire bathroom. He didn't send one of his guys or say that he'd stop over "next week sometime", instead he arrived on Saturday morning and did it himself. If the owner is committed to rolling up his sleeves and making sure that his customers are happy even when it means he loses part of his weekend then this is is a company I can recommend to my friends and family. I would hire Frank and his team again and again.

Frank is a good communicator and was great a keeping in touch before the job began and while the job was in progress. The workers were on time and good at cleaning up for the day. The work seems to be of good quality and looks great. We solicited about 8 bids for the same job and while FBT was not the cheapest bid, they did seem to have the best work plan to address some problem areas in our kitchen floor and used higher quality materials. Overall, we are satisfied with the work and would recommend them to others.

We are thrilled with the workmanship and professionalism of FBT, Inc Tile and Marble. Frank and his staff have earned an A+ from us in customer service and craftsmanship. They always answered my questions completely and offered advice and opinions when asked. They communicated regularly and asked questions to make sure that our projects were going smoothly. The men who work for FBT were very courteous and professional. While projects like bathroom and kitchen upgrades create dust and disarray in a house, Frank and CD always cleaned up the areas at the end of each day to minimize the effect on our daily lives. Toward the end of the work in the kitchen I decided to change the tile for the backsplash. Frank and CD encouraged me to go with what I really wanted even though the first choice in tile had to be returned and the new tile had to be reordered. We had to wait four months for the new tile but FBT kept me informed on the order until it arrived. While FBT is not the lowbid in cost the results and the experience working with FBT are worth every nickel. I would give FBT, Inc Tile and Marble my highest recommendation.
