Description of Work: Always use Colonial Plumbing and Heating Co. They have never overcharged nor told us something needed to be fixed unless it was necessary. We have used them for both our AC and Heating needs. Always on time and we have had the same tech come to our house for years which says something about the company and how it treats its employees. For the latest service, we had our heating checked because we thought something was wrong. Come to find out, the weather was so cold that it impacted the efficiency of our heating system (which is getting old). Cost was for checking and testing the heating system. Also got quotes for replacing hot water heater.

 + -1 moreService person arrived at 8:00 am. They found the problem in the inside control panel, fixed it promptly and left by 8:30 am. They were courteous and friendly which is the norm for Pete. I was pleasantly surprised and pleased with the promptness.
Description of Work: Heating went out during the night. Called at 7:30 am for service and requested a specific service person who I trust.

 + 0 moreIt went pretty well. They showed up quickly, were easy to deal with and cost just a bit more than the going rate. They were a little bit sloppy, dripping some waste water on a carpet and leaving a valve in the radiator system open so that it dripped all over (and ruined) a sweater, but in general they did good, efficient work.
Description of Work: We are remodeling and needed to remove a radiator to have it sandblasted and painted. Colonial unhooked the radiator. They also took out all the old fixtures in the bathroom. After the radiator was returned to place, they hooked it up again, bled the radiators and got the system up and running for fall.

 + -1 moreI did not like this company very much. This was the plumber that the people who previously lived here had recommended to me. They claimed to have used them for years. Well, when I used them, I was not very pleased. They did not do the job correctly. The faucet still leaks and they charged me for nothing. I did not feel that they did a single thing to fix the faucet. I definitely would not call them again.

water heater repair
 + -1 moreThe new system is supposed to be more efficient than the old one and save us money over the long haul. We have not had it long enough to find out if this is true, but the work itself was done extremely well. The job was more complicated than they thought, so they had to make two trips and finished on the second day of work. They were clean, orderly, and did a very good job. Only time will tell if the extra money we spent on this was worth it.
Description of Work: Colonial Plumbing replaced our old water heater with a new tank less water heater. There was also more piping added to accommodate the new system.

They are a little higher in price, but they are very professional and do excellent work. They are polite and kind to me. They always explain what they are doing and why they do it that way. I only hire people by word of mouth recommendations. They have most certainly lived up to their recommendation.
Description of Work: Colonial Plumbing and Heating does all my plumbing work. Most recently they installed new bathroom fixtures for my tub and sink.
