This company is flat out awesome. ?Chris' team (Damien and Christobal) were extremely hardworking, professional and pleasant. ?Although mother nature did not cooperate with them, they ensured my house was secure and dry the entire time. ?I'm sure there is nothing they couldn't do. Damien even identified a leak issue with my brickwork and they fixed it for no additional cost.

We had several estimates to add a family room off of our kitchen and convert the existing 1/2 bath to a full bath. We were recommended by a neighbor to also get a quote from Clifton Contracting. It's amazing how similar the price quotes were. That's where the similarities ended. Clifton Contracting impressed us with their design, layout and ideas. Chris, the owner, also was a very friendly and down to earth kind of guy. He was always quickly available by phone if we had any questions. They started on time, they ended on time, and we love our family room. The new bathroom is incredible. We had a gas fireplace put into the new family room. We showed them a picture from a magazine of the mantle design we liked and they hand crafted it exactly like the picture. The crew worked diligently day after day making our new room come alive. They were friendly, respectful and disrupted our daily lives as little as possible considering what all was happening just a few feet away from our kitchen. They went above and beyond to make sure we were pleased with everything as they proceeded. As with any large project, there were hiccups along the way, but they always gave us options and fixed or changed what was necessary with no problems. We would trust Clifton Contracting with any future jobs we need done.

They were great, Chris was very hands on. He was always available if I had questions or concerns. His crew are his actual employees and they were all very professional and reliable. They even worked late into the evening more than once to finish some of the details of the job. They cleaned up, moved furniture and it was just a great overall experience. I have recommended them to other people and I would hire them again in a heartbeat.

I chose Clifton Contracting because they are intimately familiar with Kings Park West Development and the various landscape and drainage issues around the houses. Chris was instrumental in guiding my design decisions to removed the 22 year old wood ground deck and build a new three tier ground deck. This deck absolutely looks beautiful and greatly enhances my backyard and landscaping. It also ensures good water drainage away from the house and out of my yard. I again chose pressurized pine wood because of the theme of my landscaping. Chris and his team made sure the it was Grade 1 and that the planks were in great shape and little to no flaws. The crew was efficient and professional. They started early each day and worked as long as they needed to to complete the days' work. They ensured they kept intrusions on the neighborhood to a minimum and cleaned up well each night. My previous deck was built over a cement slab which had sunk quite a bit and was posing a foundation problem. So before they began to build the new deck, Clifton Contracting removed the slab at the house and reinforced the foundation and ground. The also regraded the area for the new deck to ensure water flowed away from the foundation. They then proceeded to build the deck, checking in with me at crucial points to ensure they were on the mark. In the end, I have the most wonderful deck. Many who remember the sinking eye sore I had before have nothing but great comments and praise for the new deck. The other plus of this project was that with Chris' professional relationship with Custom Stonescaping, I was able to get both the deck and surrounding landscaping completed at the same time. They combined their efforts to create an absolutely beautiful backyard for me. I am so thrilled. This team effort has proven to be one of the best moves I've ever made. I was able to get a deck and full landscaping completed in just over 3 weeks.

Clifton Contracting is owned and managed by Chris Sodergrem. Chris was very accommodating in meeting with us when it was convenient for us. He was very professional in listening to budget concerns and working around our desire to keep costs down by maintaining the existing tub and tub/tile surround. He delivered a very reasonable estimate including the custom made vanity. When the project began, he sent a very capable lead contractor to our site (Kevin) who was able to communicate time frames and progress. The bathroom progressed pretty much along the general timelines given to us by Chris and Kevin. The finished product is quite an improvement for a reasonable amount of money. The cabinetry company that Chris works with is pretty impressive. They can make almost anything from a sketch or idea. We had previously used Chris/Clifton for our kitchen remodel in 2009. The cabinetry people were able to make a beautiful kitchen hood out based on a sketch and magazine picture. They are amazing! Clifton Contracting is a company that I trust to do great work with dependable timelines and budgets. I trust Chris Sodergrem's judgement on any job. We plan to use this company again in 2013 for a master bath and family room remodel.

Chris had good suggestions on the fence details, his crew was careful and conscientious in their work, and we have a picket fence that is very pleasing to look at. The posts were set one day and the rails, pickets and gates went in the next day.
