It was amazing. Before the work, it was amazing how little rain it would take to cause standing water in the yard. After they completed, we got 2" of rain in one day and had no standing water anywhere in the area they worked.

Awesome! The new wall is sturdy and watertight. The house looks like it has always been this way. Exception attention to detail and a joy to work with. Highly recommended.

Evan & his crew came out the day they promised to, that was a big plus right off the bat to me, very pleased with the job that was done, my basement had a leak and they came to remedy the situation. Little did we know how much would be involved with the project, didn't matter the guys were never phased and continued to plug away until they got to the problem and figured out how to fix it. The original quote was also the final price, I know the job I contracted for was not what they ended up having to do. There were surprises throughout the project but again they guys were not phased by anything and just made sure that they would get to the cause and get it fixed, I was told not to worry about additional costs because it was just a part of the job. Very impressed that Evan also came out in the AM to introduce the crew to me and was back in the afternoon to inspect the work that his crew did. Very professional outfit. I would recommend them to anyone I know!

This review is long overdue. I needed yard drainage work and Dave and his team did a great job. He is great to work with -- very responsive and explains everything in detail. Both he and his team were very professional and nice. Also, when there was something that needed to be tweaked, Dave came out right away and took care of it. I highly recommend them!

Dave and his team have been phenomenal in terms of keep me up to date about the progress of the repairs. He and his team are willing to inspect the wall over even night hours, holidays and weekends checking out and follow up any unexpected subsequent issues arise after the initial work. The issues were unforeseen by Dave and his team. Dave and his team worked tirelessly and came out with a unique and creative solution to permanently fix the issues. The Company did not even charge for the additional work. I just cannot thank you enough Dave and his team for professionalism and customer dedication and that I am extremely with the experience.

The work was done on time and in a timely manner. Workmen were punctual and diligent. Management was friendly and helpful and accommodating to our needs. It was a difficult space to work in but the work got done on time and without delay.

It went exceptionally well from beginning to end. My contact with the company was through Chris and as I told him when the job was completed, it was the BEST experience I ever had with a contractor - and I have had more than a few contractors over the years. I received quotes from 2 contractors to install the window, and while Clifton charged more, I got more. Chris put me at ease from the very beginning about the install and possible water problems; it was obvious that this wasn't Chris' first install. He spent time with me going over all my questions and explaining in detail the project and how it would be done. He recommended some additional work involving drainage and landscaping and spelled out the pros and cons for each. He covered everything and when I got his proposal, it was all spelled out with options noted and additional costs. I got to pick what additions I wanted and how it would impact the cost of the contract. His crew showed up on time each day and worked hard from beginning to end. They kept me informed each step of the way and took care to keep the work area clean and safe. I was super impressed with their attitudes and friendliness. And most of all, I was super impressed with the professionalism of their work; the project totally exceeded my expectations. I am so glad that I opted for the more expensive contract in this case; it turned out so well for me. I wouldn't hesitate for one minute to have these folks do work for me again - they are really super!

I had requested estimates from seven companies and only received estimates back from three. Four of the companies did not know how or did not want to do all three projects since they all required different expertise. The project went well. Clifton contracting had a window well digging and installation crew, a carpenter crew, and an electrician crew that all came in to work various phases of the contract over several different days. They did fast and good work. However, most of the workers spoke English as a second language (after Spanish) so there were a couple misunderstandings on the exact job description since we had three complicated different phases. The owner was true to his word and to his written estimate. He came and checked progress a couple times and sent his guys back to ensure the work quality was high and that his guys completed every part of the job estimate.

Egress Windows Fairfax installed an egress window in my basement and did a fantastic job. The window permits emergency evacuation from a room being converted into a bedroom. The reasonable cost of the egress window immediately raised the value of my home. To minimize damage to my yard and my neighbor’s yard the company manually dug the pit for the egress window to below the foundation line and beneath the foundation drainage pipe. I was very surprised to see a large sump pump pit installed below the foundation. The contractor explained that they do this as a service in the event of any future drainage issues it is quick and low cost to install a sump pump. Small stones filled the bottom of the pit. The contractor offered several options for pre-fabricated surrounds to line the pit. Every member of the crew of Egress Windows Fairfax knew their job and worked diligently. They only rested during their lunch time. At the end of the second day the job was completed and the soil was well graded around the new egress window. This is a company with long term employees who take pride in their work and who strive to satisfy their customer. I highly recommend the company.

Chris’s team from Clifton Contracting was fantastic. I’d been searching for a company to install a basement egress window so we could have a legal basement bedroom. Chris was the third estimate I receive since the two other estimates I’d gotten from other companies seemed high, one other company had even quoted me $10k for a fiberglass egress tub. Chris’s quote was literally almost half that and it was for a stone egress…additionally he was very knowledgeable and clear regarding the pricing for not just the basic window egress but also a virtual a la cart list of pricing options I could add if I wanted. I went with stone/segmented wall options which ended up looking great. I also ended up having Chris’s team wire the basement bedroom to code (running wire and installing the outlets) in addition to wiring & adding an additional hardwired fire alarm to code. I was planning on doing that piece myself but given the pricing was pretty reasonable and he could knock it out at the same time and include it in the permit as a single project, it was an easy choice for me. Overall I’m very happy with the work and would definitely use them again.

The workmanship and fast execution of the job were top notch. The work crew was polite and knew their trade. They worked tirelessly to complete the job in one afternoon. This was a small job but was eventually given a firm schedule; which was kept! The site was left in a landscaped and clean condition. I am very happy with the results and the professionalism of Clifton Contracting. I strongly recommend them - Five Stars.

Clifton Contracting made the whole process so easy from planning to completion. We are thrilled with the window and the complete change in our basement. We chose a larger Anderson window and an upgraded Rockwell window well. No other estimates could match them.

Job went very well and was completed in 3 days. Everything was done very neat and professional.

Project went so well in 2003 that we hired Clifton again in 2015 to put on second addition. Hope to finish basement with Clifton in the near future.

Working with Chris was great he came to my house took the time to make the measurements. And he gave me a quote and he was pretty straightforward with everything. There were several contractors that I've reached out to For the job. Some came with ridiculous pricing like $10,000 others came in between that each one gave different stories How the window need to be done.Chris Price came under all of them and the work was amazing. If I have any other work needs to be done I would definitely call her?

Chris built a custom home was built for us in 2009 , We changed the design details 50 times and Chris hung in their with us and never blinked. Seven years later we are enjoying the quality and detail that his company provided. Clifton Contracting has maintenance and repair items as recently as last week when they replaced a door jamb for a rental property, and two months ago grading a back yard for better drainage. If your looking for cheap this is not the company for you, if you are looking for quality, experience and your time is valuable these guys will make it happen.
