They were very nice, but his estimate was a little high which is what we did not like. He seemed to have done good work from all the references but the price is what killed it for me. He was very responsive though.

George was very professional in his estimate and was $2000 (7%) lower than the next bidder. The work was completed at the price quoted even though some extras were added in addition to what was included on the contract. The crew who completed the work were very polite and professional and always welcomed discussion of the work as it was being completed. When in the house, they were very clean and respectful of all furniture and other items that needed moved to install the windows. Outside, they were careful to avoid plants and other items around the house. The guys were happy to listen to some ideas I had about certain details as the work was progressing and in several cases drew on their experience to suggest even better alternatives. The work was completed in a timely manner and George and the crew were open with their schedule so I knew when to expect them from day to day. Overall, I was very impressed with Crockett Home Improvement and would definitely recommend them as a quality siding and window contractor. I have no doubt they perform other work well also, and will likely have them back as I continue to remodel my house.

Their punctuality was impeccable. They started the project on the date estimated (if not early), did the project quickly, and all of their representatives were either punctual or early for appointments. Our goal was to remodel our only bathroom in a timely and economical fashion. We chose Crockett Home Improvement because they were 1) responsive; 2) could communicate with them by email or phone; 3) reasonable estimate and they could fit us into their schedule in a reasonable amount of time; 4) reliable; and 5) got the job done without pressuring us to do anything extra. They kept to the terms outlined in the contract. The worker(s) cleaned up after themselves each day. We would use them again.

As usual (we've engaged the services of CHI before), Mr. Crockett showed up at the appointed hour for the job appraisal, took copious notes of work required, gave us suggestions and very punctually sent us an estimate. His people showed up when he said they would and did a first class job. His people were very professional, always punctual and left the job site neat and orderly at the end of each day. As usual, Mr. Crockett visited the job site and ensured that the projects were done to our and his satisfaction; we feel that we got outstanding value from the project. We engaged the services of CHI last year for two big projects and will continue to use their services. CHI's prices are not the cheapest, but their quality is unsurpassed. If you want cheap work, go elsewhere. If you want quality work, call CHI, you won't regret it.

It all went well. It took a bit longer than I had expected, but this was mostly because of my inexperience with remodeling - I was unrealistic in my expectations of how long it should take. Also, finding out that the toilet had to be moved made the job take longer than we originally expected. All in all, the time was reasonable. The two men who did the job came when they said they would and worked late several evenings to get things finished. They even carried groceries in for me and shoveled snow out of my driveway and off my sidewalk, neither of which was in the original job estimate. And one of them fixed a window that I had somehow gotten off its track - a small job, but one that otherwise would have meant a service call to the window company that would almost certainly have cost at least $100. I felt that the cost was reasonable and I would certainly call them again when I had another project.

Everything went well, George always works with you directly - he sometimes uses his own employees and other times he sub-contracts. Either way the nice thing is that he comes to the project first day to make sure everybody knows what needs to be done. He also works well with timelines, and really got the project done on time! I had to call him back once to further address the window issue but he resolved it with no additional charges.

A tree fell on my mother-in-law?s roof years ago. The insurance company hired the lowest estimate and the job was done poorly, but unfortunately we didn?t discover the residual water damage until much later. Based on a friend?s recommendation we contact Crocket Home Improvement. Mr. Crockett arranged his schedule to meet ours to survey the project. He returned a few days later with a written proposal which described the work to be done, the schedule and cost. The project started when he said it would and progressed well until much more extensive damage was discovered. Mr. Crocket showed us the damage, explained why it happened and walked us through repair alternatives. He made excellent suggestions but the decision was ours, we weren?t compelled to accept a ?canned solution?. His workmen were very professional, always very courteous and neat. At the end of every day they cleaned the area, policed up construction debris and put their equipment away, so the area didn?t look like a major construction site. Since CHI did such a good job on her house, we asked Mr. Crockett to look at replacing some leaking skylights of ours, replace our gutters and do some interior remodeling. He scoped out the projects and gave us a written proposal and work guarantee. He worked with us and the weather forecast to find the optimum time for the skylight replacement, which was done on schedule. He worked with us and his schedule to fit in the interior work (this gave us some time to move rugs and furniture and prepare for the inevitable firestorm of construction debris). The work was done with a minimum of muss and fuss and enabled us to live fairly normally during the construction, which was greatly appreciated! We asked Mr. Crockett to do some repairs to our daughter?s house, which included reflashing the chimney, doing some roofing work and digging a drain line to better drain the driveway. Again he gave us a written proposal and guarantee. We worked with him to fit this additional project into his schedule, which worked out very well for all concerned. In every case he came by every day or so to check the quality of work performed, ensure that we were pleased and see if we had any issues. If the work didn?t meet his standards, it was fixed. The driveway drain line wasn?t initially dug with sufficient slope to satisfy him, so it was dug deeper the next day; had he not personally inspected it, the line might not have flowed properly. This was the only instance of rework required. One thing that really impressed us was that Mr. Crockett and his craftsmen actually listened to my wife and mother-in-law and respected their opinions. All in all, the projects went extremely well and we're extremely happy.

George Crockett, president of the company, made the first visit personally to create an estimate of the damage and repair costs. He assigned a top notch crew to the repair work and over the next few weeks (due to my schedule) the repairs were made in a professional and timely manner. The site was cleaned well at the end of the work, leaving behind no mess to worry with. George made the final inspection visit and sent someone out again to tweak some finish work to high standards. Overall the experience with Crockett Home Improvement was excellent and I would not hesitate to use them again.
