+ -1 moreI called early this morning and asked to speak to the owner. I am awaiting their call.
Description of Work: I hired this company for their $59 tune up special. They came found the need to replace three items on a system that worked perfectly before they came. Iyesterday I checked the cost of two of the items and they came to $70 for both out of Amazon. They were an "inducing motor" and wheel. I went online and found at the self help sites that they should not cost more than t$300 to instal and that is this year. He also spent a lot of time trying to prove that the new thermostat that I replaced myself was put in wrong but I showed him the schematic as I didn't want him messing with it because the configuration did look unusual. I googled the dial for the fossil he said I needed as well and it did not look like what I had on my particular Carrier furnace. My biggest beef is that he did not ask permission before replacing anything or explain why I needed it. He was friendly and smiling while he did all this and presented me with a big bill. I requested the 5% Angies discount from this company two days ago and called them because my this year inspite of all that perhaps unnecessary expense I have no heat or A/C.. I called them early Monday morning and received their return call very late in the day. I returned their call 7pm and have not heard from them since. What happened to the emergency service and the 5% Angies discount? I am a widowed, senior citizen with a northern accent.

He thoroughly explained the issues and even answered the myriad of questions we had. He was very knowledgable and helpful. The blower on our furnace needed to be replaced and we had heat in a couple of hours! They even worked with us on a payment plan, so we didn't have to pay the huge chunk of money up front. Wonderful company!

+ -1 moreOur upstairs A/C unit stopped blowing. My wife called them the next morning. They had someone come out that afternoon and replace the blower motor in the heat of the day in our attic. They accidentally broke one of the heater vent pipes during installation but came back a couple of days later and fixed it at no additional charge. I was really happy with the speed of response since we are right at the end of selling our house and moving. While the price was a little high, we used the coupon on Angie's List. That, combined with the speed at which they responded made it worth it.

Discussed energy efficiency of new system and answered all questions. Provided literature as well. We didn't make the decision to purchase for a few days but when we did, i called Josh at blue ridge and he set up a date for installation for the following week. Technicians arrived on time and were very pleasant and professional. They answered all questions and explained how the system worked. It took just a few hours and installation was complete. They removed old system and and left no mess.

Description of Work: Last they were here they put in a new heat pump unit and coil for our heating and air conditioning. We have had them as our primary hating and air folk for the last 2.5 to 3 years. They do great work. Are very good at explaining what they are going to do. Have been mostly on time. We've had a number of other HVAC contractors that are no longer doing work for us.
