The first day they had to take the old unit from the wall (built-in) and re-build the wall. Did a great job of this. Wall looks just like the rest of room. Then installed a new unit and worked so well.

Bobby was very efficient and great to deal with. He did excellent work!

Two young technicians came out and installed the hot water heater. It took the better part of a day to do it. They did a good job, although they must have gotten distracted in finishing the work. They evidently left without checking for leaks and had the heater hooked up to an outlet controlled by a light switch. They also did not caulk the exhaust pipe. I called BRH&A and a different more experienced technician came out the next morning and fixed everything. I had to caulk the pipe myself - I did not discover this until after the second technician had left. I am very satisfied with the now completed installation and the equipment. I have used this company to install and maintain my HVAC for almost 10 years. They are very good at what they do, honest, and dependable. So this experience does not change my mind about them because they always make things right. They did not disappoint me this time. I would say to watch your installers carefully (no matter who you hire) to make sure they don't get away without covering all the bases. I expect this was something a more experienced technician would not have done. I would have given them an A overall for this particular job had they done the installation more efficiently. They deserve an A rating overall as a company - but not for this job.

ceThey came in the spring of 2012 to service my systems and said I needed the work then. I decided to not have the work done at that time. This year I had someone else come out to service the system and they said I needed the same thing. They attempted to sell me new systems instead of doing a repair. I contacted Blue Ridge and told them about last year and could they do the repair this year. They still had the paper work from their last year service and after checking with the person that did the service they said they could do the work for the same price. They scheduled the work within one week. They showed up on the agreed to date and completed the work in one day.

Their work is highly effective. Their people are extremely knowledgeable. They fix it once and you don't have to call them back. You can reach them and get them to come out very quickly, and they are always very punctual. Their office staff and their billing are terrific.

Came on time and quickly / efficiently installed the unit. Asked my opinion when they were thinking of cutting into the wall for the new power line. Very professional.

Johnny Martin gave us an estimate and worked with us for the install. I sought several quotes, and they were the most competitive for the services that they provided.

I am writing this review as a result of a scheduled service call after I signed a contract with Blue Ridge Heating and Air Conditioning (BRH&AC). I will note that last year I bought a whole house emergency generator which I have been pleased with so far. The following experience however casted a negative shadow of my opinion of this company. On Monday February 18, 2013 BRH&AC sent a technician over to my house to clean and inspect my gas furnace. I was not present but my elderly mother who lives with me was. The technician told my mother that the air filter in the furnace unit needed to be replaced but BRH&AC didn't replace filters and since there was one in the upper part of the duct, the lower one would never need to be replaced. This was absolute hogwash since the lower one was full of dirt and needed to be replaced. The technician then turned the thermostat up to 78 degrees to see if the furnace would fire ok I suppose but didn't set it back. When I got home from work about 5 hours later, when I opened the door, the heat just washed of me and my mother was beet red in the face and was feeling sick. I turned the furnace back down to our normal level and she told me what the BRH&AC technician told me. I was furious. Not only did they not change the lower filter in my furnace, but they could have seriously injured my 79 year old mother by not turning the thermostat back down. The following morning, I called BRH&AC and was transferred to their service manager. I explained the situation to him, and I admit I was quite upset. I asked him if this was the level of incompetence I could expect out of them and if so I was going back to my previous utility service provider. The service manager just said something like well you do what you think you need to do and hung up the phone on me. I called back, asked for the owner this time and basically "chewed him a new one". I told him I never wanted that particular technician to ever come into my house again and I was about to take my business elsewhere including the servicing for my generator. I also shared with him what the service manager said and did. The owner did tell me they do replace those filters and he rescheduled another visit for Friday February 22, 2013. The owner did apologize for the experience I had. I am going to see how this next visit goes and I have made arrangements to stay home that morning from my job to be there when the BRH&AC technician arrives. In spite of the owner's apology, BRH&AC are skating on thin ice with me at the time of this writing and the slightest slip up after the atrocity from their last visit will mean I cancel all my contracts with them and find another heating and air conditioning service provider. Update: February 22, 2013: BRH&AC sent someone over who knew what they were doing this time, who properly serviced my furnace and who took the time to tell me the condition of my furnace. To rectify the situation from the first visit, they are giving me a free servicing for the AC this summer and using my next paid contractual visit for my furnace again in the Fall. I am now appeased. As a result I'm updating my grading of BRH&AC from C to B. I'm not one who complains just to get free stuff but I thought it was big of BRH&AC to offer a free service as a consolation though I wish I didn't have to get crazy and lose my temper to get a proper servicing.

Will arrived punctually after he called. He came in very professionally. He went into the attic. He checked things up there. He went outside and checked the outside unit. He found 2 parts that needed replaced. He told me what they did and why they needed to be replaced. He was very polite and professional.
