Thanks for the great report card. Please remember that your drain line was clogged when we arrived. We blew out the drain but that doesn't necessarily mean that we were able to get out all of the debris that caused the blockage. We treated the drain lines as best we could. Please keep an eye out to make sure that it continues to drain properly by looking at the pipe on the outside. The hotter the temperature is outside the more condensation it should be producing.

Thank you for the "A" rating. I'm glad that we were able to get your system up and going but I am afraid that the problem will happen again. The unit is old and the rust is breaking off and clogging the drain. Please keep an eye out to make sure that the system is draining. I would definitely recommend that you replace the system very soon. If it makes it through the summer you should be fine through the winter. You can save some money if you replace the system in milder weather. The extreme heat of summer slows the guys down and we have to allow for more time to complete the work. This translates into a higher installation cost. If the weather is mild (you may want to take a gamble) and have the system replaced between Thanksgiving and New Years. No one wants us in that time frame unless it's an emergency for obvious reasons. If it's mild you will get your best deals then.

Thank you for the "A" rating. I am glad to know that you were pleased enough with our previous work at your home that you used us again. :) On a different note, when we are at someone's home or place of business we want to look for things that the homeowner may not be aware of that is not part of why we are there. In this case we were working on your a/c system and my tech noticed that your water heater is in the attic. Why a builder or contractor would plan on installing a water heater in an attic is beyond me but that is where your water (and many others in the area) is located. We recommend that you should consider replacing if every 10 years. If your water heater is in the attic you replace at least every 10 years. Don't think about it just do it. When a water heater leaks it can create a huge mess. If your water heater is in the attic that mess is even worse. It is very possible that you can lose your ceiling and whatever is underneath it (furniture, carpet, etc...).

Thank you for the nice review but I have to remind you that the repair we did is only temporary. It's not a matter of "if" your system will fail, it is more a matter of "when" your system will fail again. The system is just not worth repairing and needs to changed out very soon. I hope that you consider Stokley's Services to do the work.

Hello and thanks for the nice review. As we noted, your system is starting to get some age on it but it is a very good brand. I would plan on replacing it in maybe about 4 years or so unless there is a major repair needed. Also, thank you for giving me the opportunity to point something out to Angie's List members. That is simply that we replace water heater heaters. We install conventional water heaters as well as tankless water heaters.

I am supposed to be notified every time a review is posted but I have not received a notification in several weeks now. On a whim I decided to look today and discovered that I had your review and the following 8 that needed a response. I am glad that you were pleased with the work that we did at your house in the winter so much that you had us come back out to clean the air conditioner this summer. Having a repeat customer is something that just makes me feel good.

Description of Work: The fellows came out and gave our AC a thorough pre-summer tune-up. Not only did they clean the sysem and check it, they also cleaned around the intake filter and grate and gave some terrific advice on keeping filters clear and minimizing dust mites and bacteria. We will definitely have Stokleys back for our heat and AC needs in future. Highly recommend.

It's always gratify when I hear that a customer likes our work. Please keep in mind that you system may not be sized properly for the area that it is trying to cool. We didn't install it and this was our first time to the property so we have no history on it. If you notice that the system isn't cooling properly the system may be undersized. If the system comes on and shuts down quickly afterwards (satisfying the thermostat) the system is too large. This may create a mold/milder issue. As a rule of thumb, you can figure 1 ton of air conditioning (or 12,000 btuhs) for every 600 square feet of living space in a home.

Thank you for the review but I am a bit concerned. You gave us a "B" for quality and a "C" for price but you don't say what we did that wasn't up to your expectations or offer any suggestions on how to improve. I understand that most people don't want to pay anything for a repair so price is always something I am aware of and disturbed when I don't receive an "A" but obviously we can't do the work for free. I know many companies charge a lot more than what we did for the work performed. While you gave us "B" for quality I am not sure what we did or didn't do to deserve anything less than an "A". Again, I want to see all "A"s and would love to know what we can do to earn it. I will be in contact with you shortly.
