I just want to say stokley's heating and Air is by far the best company I've ever had for HVAC they installed my new unit summer of 2014 what an awesome job they did they're very professional, they go the extra mile to make sure that you understand everything there is to know and answer all your questions and at a moments notice they will assist you in anything you need,I highly recommend this company they do service for me twice a year and I've even had them vacuum my ducts and that does make a big difference with the dust the owner of the company Rob shortt has an awesome personality and is willing to help you with anything that you need he is so down to earth I highly recommend this company

I finally decided to seek out a professional who we could work with consistently and the entire Stokley's team has been phenomenal and I love that this is a family owned business that is well-established in Hampton Roads. Michelle and Tim have been great about helping me schedule service, and every technician who has entered our home has been wonderful. We decided to purchase a new gas boiler (our old one was 37 years old) and Rob did a terrific job of locating a boiler that would fit in our tiny basement. The install was efficient, and Jerry--the head technician--made sure the job was done right. I am looking forward to working with Stokley's for years to come!

I contacted Rob Short of Stokley's Services in June to get an estimate on a full replacement of my existing heat pump system (including ducting) and conversion to an AC/Gas Heat system. He came out and did a thorough walk-thru and provided me a very reasonable quote a couple days later. We discussed when to do the job and agreed that late fall would be the best weather and availability. I contacted him again in early October and received information I needed to get my gas meter installed. We decided on an install date and I put half down on the quote. On October 26th, Angelo, Dominique, and Marty (a.k.a. NightLight) arrived bright and early to begin demolition and system mapping. I was at work for most of the day while they were here, but I got updates each afternoon on what they got done that day and what they were planning to do the next day. Angelo was the team leader and has a firm grasp on the project status at all times. He kept the task on track and always has a smile handy. I took the opportunity to informally inspect much of the work as they progressed and was impressed with their level of skill and craftsmanship: Sheet-metal work, electrical connections, gas-line fabrication, air-duct construction and assembly. Everything was done logically, and professionally. I also asked, being that my house did not have gas lines installed yet, that they install the pipe in a path that will make future gas connections for water, dryer, oven, and generator easy to do. They installed capped tee connections in the gas line along the way for my future convenience. The gas line is currently being pressure tested and will maintain air pressure for a few days until the gas company certifies it. That's peace of mind. We tested the airflow in the duct system and every vent had a nearly identical flow rate. You don't get that kind of precision by accident. When the job was done Angelo made sure that nothing was left behind, the work area was cleaner than when they started, and I had appropriate instructions for the pending gas company certification. I am 100% satisfied with the quality and value of my new high efficiency heating and cooling system. I would (and have in the past) recommend Stokley's to anyone...anytime.

Very professional. The gentlemen came in and gave us some information on each heat pump. So we can make our own decision. We can decide who we can go with. They were very good. It was the beginning of the Covid, they came in with booties and mask. We will differently use them again.

Not at all good. They do the job to create more paid work for them again. Technician and the owner said it is a craked heat exchanger and the cost could be up to 2500 to 3000 dollars to fix. I consulted one other technician and I paid 125 dollars to fix it. Its as simple as replacing flame sensor. What a difference in analysis of the issue and projected cost to repair. I paid 150 dollars for the visit. Happy I was not ripped off as I did not hire him to fix the issue. Will not hire again.

The service tech was on time, and knew what he was doing. He explained everything he was doing. I would not hesitate to call them again if need arises,

Stokely's Services were extremely professional and courteous. The technician, Shaun were very pleasant, very knowledgeable, quickly identified the problem and completed repairs within 15-20 minutes. We will not hesitate to use Stokely's again!

They cleaned our air duct perfectly. What a great experience it was!! I am impressed with their services.

They deserve their A+ rating. They were able to schedule me in for the next day (I called in the evening) without charging me emergency rates. Communication was excellent regarding when the technician would arrive. The technician himself was knowledgeable, efficient at resolving the problem and performing the necessary maintenance, and answered all of my questions. I will use Stokley's again and will recommend them to others

My AC system went down about 6 days ago. Initial indications were that I sustained a cooling coil failure, and Freon leaks throughout the entire AC system. Technicians recommended that the entire system be replaced because replacing certain parts was only going to be a near-term fix, vice a long-term solution. As such, I solicited several quotes for the system replacement and Stokley's Services was the only company that provided me with a competitive price....and the only one who did not try to up charge me for something that I did not need. Once the date was determined, the technicians arrived on time, and completely the entire job in less than a day. They were very professional throughout the entire install period and kept me informed throughout the process. I had the evaporator coil, gas furnace, and outside A/C unit replaced...not to mention the installation of new condenser pad, new emergency drain pan, float switch, and EZ-TRAP condensate overflow protection device. The job itself included all parts, labor and taxes. Finally, the technicians cleaned up their mess and demonstrated how the new system worked....and they reassure me that if anything happens with the system to give them a call and they will respond accordingly. I have never been more happier than to have cooled air return to my household! I highly recommend Stokley's Services to anyone in need of AC work, furnace work, tankless water heater work, etc. They are true professionals in their field of expertise and I for one will continue to call upon their services!

I really enjoyed both of the techs who came over. They took the time to explain everything to me and what my best options were. They were Very personable and respectful. I would use this company Again simply because of the professionalism and the reasonable costs.

Our technician, Shaun, was pleasant and went above and beyond explaining our HVAC issue and teaching about the important maintenance needs for the future. We would be happy to call Stokely's again!

Stokley's did an outstanding job!. From the initial phone call they were very professional, friendly and knowledgeable. I shared what I was looking for and they recommended the service call/cleaning, which they were having a special on. The day prior to the service I received a courtesy reminder call and the morning of the service another call to let me know the technician was in route. The technician arrive early, introduced himself and explained what he would be doing then went right to work. He not only cleaned and services the system, he also took care of a few other items he noticed, just as a courtesy. Outstanding service!

Outstanding service. My old HVAC system was working, but near end of life. Angelo, Jemar, and Nick (hope I got the names correct) did an outstanding job. It was a tricky retrofit. Rob worked to get the sizing right and the above crew professionally worked through all the challenges - and with a very positive spirit. They also kept me informed of arrival times and cleaned up the area very nicely. I am now toasty warm and highly recommend them.

We've used Stokley's Services since 2015, starting with Angie's List A/C tune-up deals on the two HVAC units in our house. We've also purchased an Angie's list furnace tune-up deal and were very pleased with the price, quality, and timelines of their service. When our old units reached end-of-life, we had Stokley's install a new American Standard attic furnace & central A/C in 2017, then a Trane gas pack in 2019. Again, we are pleased with the price paid, as well as the quality and professionalism of each installation. We certainly plan to continue using Stokley's in the future.

I have 2 AC units and an oil hot water system. I was having problems with 1 of my AC units but the contractor that had performed the system install had gone out of business. I searched for a reliable HVAC company as a replacement. I contacted a couple of contractors that could perform the necessary repairs but could not get scheduled in under 3 weeks. When one did show up I had to wait another several days for parts to arrive and the repair completed. When the cold weather arrived, I started having light-off issues with my oil furnace. Not wanting to return to the previous contractor, I called Stokley's. and relayed the situation to the front office. They responded by scheduling the technician the next day. The technician arrived as scheduled and had me up and running within several hours. He was courteous, efficient and thorough and conducted the repairs with professionalism. We discussed the starting of an annual contract to cover the heating and AC units. He got all the equipment information and forwarded it to the front office. They contacted me the next day and gave me a reasonable annual quote for 2 visits per year (one for the AC systems and one for the boiler system). The maintenance started with the next AC schedule and included a recharge of one of the AC compressors that was "cycling" and a complete check of all the units, drains, ducts and fans. Six months later they came out for the heating system maintenance. I told him that the unit didn't appear to be heating like it used to and said he would check the flue. He found the system was badly sooted up (my initial installer never cleaned it, I guess). He took the covers off the boiler and got in there and vacuumed it all. Even though it was an extremely messy job, he left the garage (where it was located) completely clean. He also replaced the filters and nozzles and adjusted the air-flow. All as part of the annual maintenance contract. I highly recommend this company for any HVAC work. Everyone from the front office to the technician were friendly and professional and the technicians were completely willing to discuss and explain everything they were doing.

My first experience with Stokely’s was a few years ago when my furnace went out two days before a January snow storm. In fact, it was a Thursday afternoon. Stokely’s came out the next day and told me they would not be able to replace our furnace that day, but said they would be back later that day with space heaters. They returned a few hours later with 3 brand new space heaters for us to use until they could replace the furnace. They arrived right on time Monday morning and replaced the furnace. I really appreciated them going the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of during that winter storm. Last month (June) our AC was shutting off due to water filling the backup drain pan. Our coils were so rusted that the rust was flaking off and clogging our main condensation drain. We made the decision to replace the AC. Stokely’s came out four days later (old AC was still functioning) and replaced our AC system. They did great job installing the system, moving the refrigerant line and even fixed the seal around my attic pull down. Stokely’s is our choice, we trust them and would recommend them every time.

Signed up for HVAC checkup deal. Part of deal was up to I think two pounds of refrigerant. Tech said he could not connect gauges into system but I told him checking it was part of the deal. So he connected into system and said I was two pounds low and would add refrigerant. He stated I had to sign a waiver in case of leaks. I explained there was no mention of that in the deal. After he disconnected the gauges he said I was now leaking at the schrader valve (which I could see with bubbly liquid applied). Possibly from the increased pressure of the added refrigerant and the old valve was not up to the pressure he stated. Amazingly he did not have a valve in the truck. He stated the valve cap would hold temporarily until I could schedule a repair. I ended up with a >150 repair for a valve. Amazingly he could unscrew the valve to install a new inner spring/plunger guts without having to add any refrigerant. Both times he visited I was available nearby but not watching over his shoulder to stay out of his way so I only have his word. He also added a large Stokley's decal to the side of the unit which I did not authorize. I could not remove it without pulling off paint from the unit.

I wish I could rate this company higher than an A. From the first phone call, it was apparent that we were in good hands. Everyone we dealt with was courteous, professional, and honest. Installation of the new units was seamless. When we had a product warranty issue a few months in, Stokely’s honored their word and took care of us quickly. If you need any HVAC work done, I would highly recommend this company...10/10

They were super to work with and we were highly impressed with their workmanship. I would highly recommend them and I will definitely use them again.
