Quality Built Exteriors

It didn't; contractor never showed up, didn't bother to call. Didn't answer the phone when I called them (three times!), they let it go to generic voicemail (i.e., cell provider standard greeting, not company voicemail). Eventually answered, gave excuses that the contractor had lost his phone and no one had told the receptionist. Offered to reschedule during another work day, but I declined.

This company greatly lacks in communication. I read reviews off Angie’s List for this company and didn’t see any bad reviews. Things went great with the person who came and gave us a quote but after that things went downhill. We were told we would receive a call the put us on the schedule within a few days. It took two weeks to get on the schedule to have our fence replaced. We have had to call them repeatedly to make sure things were still on schedule and most of the time we get the answering machine during business hours. Each time we have been pushed to another week out. We get transferred from one person to another on the phone and nobody associated with this company can remember what work they are supposed to be doing for us. They were supposed to deliver supplies this week on Wednesday. Imagine our surprise when supplies showed up Tuesday morning. We were told that they would start our fence work on Thursday. Here is it Thursday 5/30/19 and nobody has showed up yet to do the work. We called the company and got passed around to 3 different people only to be told that someone should have called yesterday to tell us that we have been moved to next week. We would not recommend this company to anyone. We financed through Green Sky which is wonderful but Quality Built Exterior has been paid for a job they haven’t even done. We are cancelling our business with them and want our money refunded. We are a military family and we understand that things happen. This company completely lacks in communicating with their customers to let them know when there have been changes, when supplies will be delivered and when work will be performed and finished.

The process was very simple. I loved my representative Ray. She was very flexible. I even needed her to come back a few times before signing the contract and she did. The crew was very professional, respectful, and always called to keep my updated with what they would be doing each day. I was told a exact time of when the project would start. The timing was quick to complete the fence. Would highly recommend and use again!

Garbage!!!! They started charging me before the fence was installed, no communication was established to inform us of our install date until I tracked the company down, thier workmanship sucks, the installers are not as knowledgeable as they should be, and my fence was not built according to the lot survey that was provided. During the installation process thier was a lot of miscommunication. They have already been out to my house to fix numerous issues already. Now I have the Homeowners Association breathing down my neck about my fence being 14 feet over the property line. Per Ms. Ray the lady who sold us the fence, she stated that the owner is not responsible and will not be fixing the fence. They built my neighbor's fence and they had similar issues. I will not use this company again and I do not recommend them to anyone unless you want a big headache!!!!!

Ray and the Installers did a great job! They even tore down the existing fence and hauled it away. The new fence looks great! I will definitely use them if I have future work to be done.

I hired Quality Built Exteriors to install my fence at my property I had just purchased. Phillip was the installer and he did an excellent job and it was done in a day and half! Its still standing strong and is great and allows protection of my house.

Spectacular job from beginning to end. Let me start by saying I was approached by a very nice young lady who knocked on my door named Diana. I NEVER entertain door knockers but this young lady was very friendly and professional so I allowed her in. She set me up with an appointment to have an estimate. The salesperson Mr. ****** showed up and was knowledgeable and seemed to be interested in helping me with what I could afford to do instead of pushing me into work that I could not afford. The gentleman that did the work was efficient and very good at what he does although his name escapes me. Mr. ****** kept me informed of the schedule changes due to materials being ordered and coming in at different times. If you want a professional company at a fair price and excellent customer service call the folks at Quality Built Exteriors.

Quality Builders I love my new roof. Ray and the installers were very professional. Ray called me to make sure everything went well. She came by the next day to see the roof for herself and to see of I had any questions. Quality Builders did such a great job on my roof. I will be getting new windows next year with them as well. We worked with Quality built exteriors group to re-install the part of fence which was not put in correct for the first time. Mike was on time and ready to inspect our fence even after almost 3 year. He was very friendly, cooperative and agreed to fix the fence even though it was out of the warranty. I was not changed anything, which I was very happy about. Definitely recommend Quality built Exteriors for Fence work.

This is a update on the problem that I posted about with rain water shooting past the gutter and onto my porch at the front door. Quality Built Exteriors did finally come and replaced the gutters on the front of the house with a larger size. The work was done September 25. The work looks very nice as it did when the job was originally done in October 2016. Has it fixed the problem? I cannot say because we have not had any rain storms or thunderstorms in October or November to be able to say. We normally have that kind of weather in the spring and summer sometimes early fall. But not this year or last year. Which is why I called the company the first time that following spring after the original work was done. The problem didn't show itself until we actually had the weather to expose it. My home was built in the early 1960's and as I said in my earlier post there was never a problem with the old gutters handling the water. And yes, I did want them covered because I can no longer climb a ladder and clean them myself nor can I paint the trim. Those two things were a big influence on my decision to have this work done. I really do hope that these gutters will solve my problem because it is not a problem that I can just ignore. I am rating the job a C because they did replace the gutters and it looks good and I was not charged.

Their project manager was disorganize, they are professional. They are the best in price but I felt pushed by the process.

I hired "Quality Built Exteriors" in September, 2016 to wrap the house trim and replace the gutters. I am physically unable to take care of painting trim or cleaning gutters which is what caused me to make the decision to have this work done. They came a month later, October, to do the work. The person that did the gutter didn't speak English so he had an "interpreter" with him. I later learned that he could understand and speak English. After the work was done it did look real nice but then we had a heavy rain storm and I had place on the front of my house where the water was not going past the gutter because the gutter couldn't handle the water. I called the company told them about it and showed them pictures I took so they could see what I was talking about. Their solution was to put what they called a dam which was another piece of gutter material attached to the front of the new gutter. That was supposed to make the water go into the gutter and prevent it from blowing by the gutter and shooting off the roof. I did not want that eye sore on the front of my house. I did not have that problem with my old gutters. But I replaced them because no one would cover them and I can no longer clean them myself. So they finally came while I was not at home to see what they did and uncovered that portion of my gutter and put a type of material in the gutter which was supposed to keep the debris out. I call the stuff a foam Except that doesn't work. So after a while the debris gets in the gutter and stops it up. Not to mention that I paid for the gutters to be covered. All of them. So this Spring, 2018, the problem returned except it is worse. Now I did not know that that was what had been done until a family member was able to go up and look at it and tell me. So now when it rains I can't stand at my front door because the water pours over so bad. It's worse than standing in a shower. I called them but they use an answering service and they wouldn't return my call. So I finally went to the office. They said they would fix it. They didn't. Finally Mr. Massengill, Jr. came and looked at it. He did not want to see my pictures. He called me back and said they would replace the gutter on the front with a larger size and they would not charge me. He said they wanted to make it right. I appreciate the thought. That was on July 19, 2018. It is now September 20, 2018 and they have yet to come to do anything. I have called and have gone back to the office twice. They have set a date and once even a time to do the work but they don't show up or call. I did not ask them to do this for nothing. Mr. Massengill, Jr. made that choice. Nice thought but it is meaningless if you don't ever do it. I am an older woman so ladies beware!!!! By the way, they had no problem getting the payment. I paid promptly upon completion in 2016. They were very prompt from the time they came out to do the estimate to the time they showed up to install our new gutters. We are very pleased with the service we received.

Rae was very courteous and kept us informed. Workers arrived earlier than expected and job was great. Very pleased with service and results. Rae had an appointment that ran a bit later when we initially scheduled the estimate, but she went out of her way to meet with us at our convenience. We felt that the price was very fair and that the company is one that can be trusted to get the job completed in a timely manner. We plan to call on their services again for installation of a fiberglass door.

They said it would take 3 days for fence to be complete. Fence was complete by the date they gave. Very pleased with their service.

Mr. Steve Jacobs was on time and ready to inspect our roof for signs of heat damage as well as indications of damage done by animals. He was professional during the inspection as well as the attic for evidence of river rates and squirrels. Mr. Jacobs thoroughly explained the state of our roof and described the damage that he did see, as well as recommended the work to fix it. He also recommended a pest control company that i immediately called. I would definitely hire again due to the promptness of the inspector, the professionalism and the fact that i didn't feel like i was being sold something! He was incredibly friendly, and the service was FREE because it was an inspection only (and he's a good fella)

The installer was very professional doing a great job and cleaned up after themselves daily. There was a hick up when one of the windows went missing which caused a delay in completing the window installation.

Had an appointment and the guy called and said that he was running behind from first appointment. Said he would email me the details and an estimate. Waited a day and called the office. Woman took my information and I still haven’t heard anything. I needed shingles like yesterday. Guess I’ll find someone else.

the MOST expensive quote BY FAR compared to 5 others for same work and materials

My wife and I were quoted a great price by Quality's sales person Ray for a 6' privacy fence and I was skeptical that it was not going to be quality because the price . There were a few setbacks at first but they were cleared up and when the fence was 3/4 of the way done and it looked great.....The last side to be done was the gate side and the carpenter messed it all up and we were nervous that it not going to be fixed..... Ray assured me that Quality Built Exteriors will make it right and to just believe in her 9again I was skeptical)... Well needless to say, she had another crew finish the job to above our expectations and we were very pleased. Ray was a professional from start to finish. I have other projects in mind that I want her to quote because I know now that this company will back up there work. Even though we had setbacks with this build I wanted to give this company 5 stars because its the end product that we are pleased with.

I was apprehensive at first to pay a contractor up front to get a discount, but in the end, it was well wort it for me. The estimator, Jesse worked with me while I made several changes to my order and when it was time for the installation, they were punctual, friendly, and very professional. There was some extra cutting and issues with my old door, but the installers handled it with no problems with no extra charges. They removed all old debris and left my doorway and patio looking great. Will absolutely use their services again to replace my windows next. Thank you for a no stress experience.

The whole exterior of our house was redone by Quality Built Exteriors (roof, siding, soffits, windows, exterior doors and gutters), and I must say that we are really satisfied and enjoying our "new" house! This was a huge job with multiple sub-contractors (some working at the same time), and despite misgivings of "putting our eggs in one basket", it was well worth the controlled chaos to get it all done at once with oversight by Mike Reedy and his staff. The sub-contractors did an outstanding job and worked hard through all sorts of nasty weather to finish their respective jobs. While there were some small issues along the way, the response to these was top-notch -- sometimes crews would come out to update things the same day I reported them. Mike is very knowledgeable and it's obvious that he takes great pride in the service he provides; he even honored some services that we discussed that did not make it into the contract. He and his helpful staff were readily available (sometimes even after hours) via text, phone or email to discuss issues, schedule/reschedule services and answer any general questions I had. As a customer who has experienced many of the services they provide, I would wholeheartedly recommend Quality Built Exteriors for all home contracting needs!

The initial customer service we received was great. They came out quickly to give us as estimate and we're able to set up install quickly. Their prices were comparable for what seemed like better quality work. The crew that came out did a good job installing the fence. After that, things went down hill. One gate section that was installed started warping and now no longer stays latched. We actually have to lock it to keep it closed and you can still see the top is badly warped. Numerous planks in the sections had horrible wood knots to the point that the planks are splitting. Multiple cross beams have warped so badly that the wood was splitting down the middle and making the fence unlevel. Called to have all the issues fixed. An employee from the company came out to survey the issues and said everything would be fixed, no problem. They called a few days later to schedule an appointment. Well, they never showed. Called back to reschedule. They came back out and replaced the cross beam but did an absolutely horrible job. There are nails sticking out of the wood at least two inches and they never leveled the fence again so the top is still noticibly unlevel. The gate was never fixed and the split planks never replaced as promised. We called to have the work completed and the horrible worked fixed. An appointment was scheduled and they never showed again. We signed a one year warranty on the fence to make sure any issues that came up could be fixed but can't get Quality Built Exteriors to even come out and honor the warranty and fix their work.
