Floors Unlimited

New to the area and didn't notice the wood floor in our new home was cupped in various places. Home builder put us in touch with Phil Woolard. He was very patient and methodical in attempting to determine the cause. Together we decided on a course of action and the work was done on April 10, 2014. Phil Woolard was extremely cautious with regard to not leaving any residual wood dust in the house. I must say if I ever need anything regarding any type of flooring, Floors Unlimited and Phil Woolard is where I will take my business.

This is the second time we've used Floors Unlimited and both times, we've been equally happy. Phil and his team are professional, show up when they say they will, work hard, and do a great job! He is very knowledgeable and was able to help us pick out the perfect flooring for our busy family. We will continue to use Floors Unlimited in the future!

This is truly a family operated business. Phil, the owner, is a terrific person to deal with, as is the rest of his staff and installation crews. The attention to detail and professionalism by all concerned was fantastic. We had three estimates and theirs was right in line, and when you talk to Phil there is no high pressure and you know you are talking to someone who values you as a customer; not so with the others. Floors Unlimited is a credit to the Hampton Roads business community.

The shop is a lovely showroom with ample carpet and floor covering. The salesman shared some points that the others I had talked with at other showrooms hadn't mentioned. (I received 4 estimates from other dealers and this was my favorite) Their entire staff has been delightful from the helpful service of the salesman to the installers. We enjoyed the experienced installers very much and they couldn't have been more helpful or accommodating. We had 4 bedrooms and hall done, so it was traumatic to us, but they were very eager to please and work to make us happy with as little inconvenience as possible. They remained cheerful and positive despite moving 4 bedrooms of furniture!

Excellent service. Te job was completed on schedule. Professional installers made the transition seamless. They went above and beyond. My baseboard was nailed so securely to the wall that it was damaged when they tried to remove it to lay the tiles. The company provided new baseboard and stained it to match the existing bath cabinets. Excellent job

They are very flexible and honest. The price is very reasonable. I would use them again.

Prior to the installation, Mr.Woolard came to the house, measured upstairs and prepared an estimate. A contract was prepared and a visit was made to his place of business to sign the agreement and leave a half payment at which time the installation was scheduled. On the day of the scheduled installation the install team, Dr. Dean and assistants, arrived on time and began moving furniture, removing carpet and preparing the floor. Prior to the installation we had some squeaks in our floor which Mr. Woolard had said they would try to repair. The install team did and excellent job of chasing down the squeaks and administering terminal justice. Prior to the installation of the new carpet, it was discovered that there had been an error in communication regarding the carpet padding and we opted for a heavier padding which was taken care of without delay. The install went well, there was little waste, the furniture was rearranged as it was before the install. The install team was a delight to work with and the job appears excellent. Our stairway was carpeted and wrapped around the end and looks better than it ever has. I did not rate pricing as we did not solicit additional estimates.

My experience with Phil and his team at Floors Unlimited was very positive. I got estimates from 4 companies and the prices were very similar. However, Phil's estimate was the most detailed and that was the deciding factor. I met with Terry at the showroom to go over my options and he was very helpful. Phil came out and did the measurements and his suggestions and observations were very helpful as well. The installs were done quickly and without any drama. I would definitely use Floors Unlimited again.

Every aspect of the jobs were handled professionally and with expertise. The men who came into our home were friendly and respectful. All the work has received great compliments from all who have seen it.

I contacted 4 companies for an estimate - all from Angie's List recommendations. 2 of the 3 called back quickly. Floors Unlimited came out within a day or 2 to take measurements and talk about options. I was impressed with Phil's knowledge and ideas. We did estimates for several different jobs and ultimately decided to replace the kitchen linoleum at this time. We had some water damage that needed to be assessed and repaired. We went to the showroom and saw several samples and made a selection. Work was scheduled 2 weeks out. The 2 man crew that did the job was punctional, professional and courteous. They were meticulous and detailed oriented and the job was finished on time with no surprises.

Workers were on time as scheduled. Very professional and careful moving the furniture around. Excellent job installing the carpet and fixing minor defects in flooring. Completed as scheduled.

Phil provided many options I might consider, for instance: different colors, styles and whether or not I would use hardwood instead of carpet in my rug and he saw it all through to the end. He even tried to get me the scheduling I needed and the job was done well.

The job was done professionally and we are happy with the results. Floors Unlimited worked around our schedule and ordered and delivered the flooring before the installation so the wood floor material had time to adapet to our home climate. The installers called before arriving. There were 3 workers who worked solid for two days to install the floor in our master bedroom and main hallway. They made sure we were happy with their work before they left. The foor looks great!

They did an excellent job. Their prices were lower than others for the same quality. I appreciated the more personalized service than I was able to get at big box stores and other carpet retailers. I felt they listened to what I wanted, then didn't try to sell me more than I had budgeted for. Their installation was on time and well done.

We were very pleased with the entire process and final product. We will have them replace most of our carpet in the next couple months.

Their price is good and it is comparable to Big-Box stores and they do a lot more than the Bog-Box stores too. They are super professional. They are not happy until you are happy and are awesome.

On my first house, they installed the carpet on top of globs of sheet rock mud that was on the floor, so you had these hard bulges. They did come out and pull the carpet up and fix it, but what were they thinking on the install? On my second home, which I have been in 5 years, the carpets buckled and they sent a very unfriendly person out to restretch the carper. That lasted about 6 months, so I had them do it again, and that lasted about 6 months. I'm about to replace the carpet, but will never use them again.

They did a good job. I don't remember how much we spent on the job. They were very good. We didn't have any problems with them. The quality of work was good. They are out here in our neighborhood. We would use them again in the future.

based on Angie rating select the Company. Recommendation for type to purchase good. Installers a little late. Install looked good. Next day noticed that first step was poorly done. Noted same to company on invoice when final payment was made. No follow up by company regarding install or satisfaction. Good business practice to give a follow up call. I was an easy customer to bad they couldn't follow up to make sure things were right. Intent to call and complain until corrected. Will go somewhere else next time. correction.

We initially went over to the show room, and spoke with Phil about our general wants and needs. He provided us with some basic information, and answered all of our questions. He was very helpful, and stayed twenty minutes past closing to speak with us. We scheduled a day for Terry to come out and take measurements of the rooms, and he was prompt and friendly, and answered all of our questions at the site. We went back to the store, made our final color and carpet decisions, and scheduled a time for installation. We were not home during the install, but we got home to newly carpeted rooms - they looked great! The only drawbacks were that the installers had left carpet remnants all over the new carpeting, and nicked up some of the recently painted baseboards. Otherwise, the rooms really looked fantastic, and the stairway carpet feels great underfoot.

I was very pleased in the beginning by the person who sketched out the design. I was not as pleased by the worker they sent to do the job. He would bring his girlfriend's child with him, who would sit and watch TV with my kids. It was sort of strange. His work was pretty good with the exception that he did not end the tile where his supervisor and I had talked about in the design. He was told about where to end it.

We went to the store and were immediately helped by very courteous and knowledgeable employees. We made an appointment for an estimate. The appointment was a pleasurable experience, meaning he arrived on time, answered all our questions, and gave us an estimate before he left. The carpet was installed the day we were promised it would be, and they did an excellent job. The next day we had a follow up call to inquire if we were satisfied with the job. We were surprised to find a company that provided such exemplary service during these times.
