A-1 Inc Exterminators

As above. I ended up using Terminix for the moisture problem.

Had prior tenants who advised their dog or cat had brought fleas into the condo we own. Called around to several different providers but A-1's customer service on the phone stood out to me so I called them over. Had Technician Tony arrive on time and explained what he would be doing. He went into the house, showed me what the liquid does to fleas (the fleas were waiting for him as he walked through the door) and he hit up the entire house. Very personable and great service! Thanks!

They did exactly what I paid them for. They came by and were punctual. I'd say I got a pretty good deal.

A termite inspection was something I had been putting off, so when I saw an Angie's List deal, I jumped on it. My appointment was scheduled within 24 hours of the purchase. The office staff at A-1 is friendly and efficient. I hoped this would carry through the appointment, and it did! The technician, Tom, arrived a few minutes early, which was a real surprise. He had everything he needed to introduce himself and explain what he was planning to do. He was friendly yet buisnesslike. He asked a few questions to familiarize himself with the house and then got to work. It took about 30 minutes to complete the inspection and Tom took pleasure in delivering the good news--no termites! He explained the terms of the warranty and assured me that the company was available any time I found a problem. If termite hunting can be a pleasant experience, A-1 Inc makes it so.

Technician Selvyn was very pleasant to work with. He sprayed both indoors and outdoors as well as used the pellet barrier in the foundation for those nasty waterbugs that kept coming inside from the rain. He also baited our kitchen. There was very little odor to the pesticides. Two or three days later, we started seeing dead waterbugs (nymphs and adults) turning up in our kitchen. We believe the pesticides are working very well. Our family went on vacation for a week and when we returned we found more dead waterbugs and a two live ones. We called for a followup spray ($50) on July 30. This time Rick the project manager came out and resprayed the areas of concern as well as outside. He was super friendly. A few days later we started seeing a few more dead waterbugs. I believe this second round of spraying has pretty much taken care of the last bit of waterbugs. It has been 2 weeks and we haven't seen a single more cockroach. We are very very satisfied with their service and will continue to use them.

They are prompt and honest. They do a great job. I was so pleased with the work they did with my 2 Big Deals that we now have a bi-annual contract. They’re just great to work with.

A-1 was able to schedule an exterminator the same day I called, to our relief. They came on time, did a very thorough job inside and out and left our home ant free. They recommended a second treatment if needed, but so far, we have not had any more flying ants and were thrilled with the results. My parents were visiting and it was their room that was most affected. Very impressed by their responsiveness and results.

He was early, courteous, neat and professional. He answered our questions very thoroughly and didn't try to sell us anything, even when he found a borderline issue in our crawlspace. He would like to see it again when the ambient humidity is less in the fall before making a recommendation.

Tech Ted Edlin came 7/25/2013 to perform the termite inspection covered by the coupon I purchased. He was on time,inspected under the house,around the house, inside the house,and the shed. He told me that there was some moisture near the vents in the crawl space( I had been told this before by two other companies) He said he saw no indication that termites had been under the house. However,there were places on the shed that indicated termites had visited the shed. He recommended putting down vapor barrier,and access well and vent wells in front of the house. He carefully explained what he would do,approximate amount of time it would take,and the monetary amount. He took the time to explain to me each step he would take. As I stated above,I had been advised twice in the past something should be done about the possibility of even more moisture accumulating under the house. But I was impressed by Mr Edlin's knowledge and expertise and patience. I agreed to have it done, he scheduled the work to be performed 8/9/2013. 8/9/2013, he was there exactly on time - 8:30 - explained his steps to accomplish the work to be done. He needed to hook up to my well pump and the darn thing would not work so Mr. Edlin kindly asked for a pitcher of water and primed the pump so he could use the well water. I really appreciated him doing that since I have arthritis in my hands and would have been able to take the piece off the top of the pump to do the priming. He then did whatever he needed to do with the water and asked me about plantings around the foundation of the house such as flowers and I explained the flowers were "volunteers" and came back every year and if he needed to pull them out to do so. I don't think he pulled very many - laid the dirt on a plastic sheet and drug the dirt to the back of the yard near my fence(after asking permission to do so)and I told him to put the dirt on the other side of some largish limbs I had back there from an earlier storm. I told him not to worry about the limbs, I just leave them there until they dry out and I can easily cut them up. When I went back out later he had cut the limbs down to a manageable size. I truly appreciated that. He said it would take about 8 hours to finish up every thing and by 3 or so he was finished. Every thing was neat as a pin,looked really good. He took pictures to show me how the plastic (poly vapor barrier thing)looked under the house and showed me the ductwork and so on. I am really pleased with the tech Mr Edlin,the work,and the company. I can't speak too highly of them. Mr Edlin is a senior citizen's dream workman.

They had to comeback and spray again 2 weeks later, and still have ants using the same path they sprayed twice.

I had been this on and off for ten years I had no problem with until this last time, they wanted there money up front in the past I had given the money in installments , I thought this was the case but it wasn't, they sent me to a collection company so that said I( had paid them so when I asked them to restart the service they gave me a hard time the CEO talked down to me then she sent a person down to the home the service wasn't 1st rate because I had to hire another company to redo the job for less money so did I get a refund the answer was no what I did get from this CEO was best wishes for me and the new company , so that said if you don't question these people about the way they do thing or how they bill you this is the company or you ,but if you aren't this type of person run and look for another company to do your service there a lot of great companies out there.

I got a big deal coupon with them. When I called, Heather was extremely helpful and very informative. The technician, who came here, Selvin, was again most professional, prompt, actually he showed up early but he called first. He was knowledgeable about his product. He was courteous. So, everything was fantastic as far as that goes. We were very pleased. What I did not like was that they tried to sell us another product. May be, this is what they do but I just did not appreciate it. What they said they would do they did well and on time.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. I wasn't very impressed with him because I felt like they were more interested in trying to sell me something. They said there was moisture under the house. My boyfriend goes under the house all the time and he said he didn't see any moisture that would be concerning him. They said that they could do the moisture treatment. maybe that's their standard thing to try to get people to get their moisture treated under the house whether they need it or not. In fact, they've been trying to call me back to get another annual inspection and I did not return the calls to them because I will not use them again.

This Angie's List special was a great deal, but the service technician tried to sell us a bunch of additional services. Other than the sales pitch, the service was fine.

They were good, and very nice. It was easy to make an appointment – very polite through the whole process. He inspected the house and left a note with my mom about not being able to do the warranty. They said that they would need to do a treatment which would cost $1575 - not good. The big deal price was good.

We had ants inside and outside of the property The service tech sprayed inside and outside as well as providing bait for the ants patrolling the outside perimeter of the house. Tech was professional and well-versed in his trade. It has been a month and so far we don't have the ant parade that was going on inside and out.

It was an Angie's List Big Deal that I purchased. They're very nice. It was supposed to be an ant and termite inspection. They did a good job with the spray but the problem is they wouldn't go underneath the house to check for termites which was part of the contract. They're saying that it has asbestos underneath the crawl space. That was part of the deal, and they're saying, "No, that's not what it is. It's an inspection." The whole idea was to have it inspected for termites. I have a lot of trees around and that's what I really wanted the most. I was disappointed in that. There's gotta be a way to check the outside or the inside of the house with them going to the crawl space. I like them and they were happy that they did the spray. They called and showed up on time.

I called this provider and described the pest problem is was having in my home and that I would like someone to come and spray. Over the phone, the sales rep was very nice and responsive. On the first visit, the exterminator was early, which I loved. He was very nice and I walked him through my home to show him where I saw bugs most often. He told me that he would take care of everything and went back to his truck my make the proper solution for the house and garage. He was in my house for 15 minutes max. When he finished, he told me that the spray should kill just about anything that was crawling around. Fast foward 3-4 days. I look up at the ceiling in my guest bedroom/ soon to be nursery and I see the same bug crawling around that the solution was supposed to kill off. I call the company back and tell them my issue. I am told that they will happily come back for $50. I've already paid $125 three days earlier, but I want this solved so I tell them okay and schedule a time for a follow-up. The second exterminator is also early and equally polite. He sprays my house again top to bottom and tells me I should be good to go. A month later, I still have bugs. I've resorted to buying a can of bug spray and killing them off myself. I keep my house super clean. We don't even wear shoes in the house because of allergies. Frankly, I wouldn't let A-1 Inc take out my garbage. I appreciate how polite and punctual they were, but who cares if they didn't actually provide the service they promised?

This was a good experience. The technician was knowledgeable and completed the job in a timely fashion.

Arrived on time for their appointments. They did not find any termites so no need for follow up. Needed to have clearer communication.

The service provider arrived on time and was very professional. He performed a thorough inspection of the home and gave his recommendations for treatment. We opted to have only the exterior of the home treated and have not had a recurrence of the ant problem. Highly recommend and we will be using them again.

Absolutely delighted. I was given a phone call by the owner to discuss the termites that I found, and was immediately put at ease because of their location and given a free termite inspection. At my rental, they sprayed for ants (preventative) which included a termite inspection. They discovered and reported a water leak which will most likely save me THOUSANDS in the long run. To that, I am truly grateful. That could have ended in disaster, but as it turns out, made me a hero to my renters. Thank you, thank you, thank you! This is NOT my first service with A-1 and each time they are exceptional. I am very cautious about where I spend my hard earned dollars and they do fantastic work with exceptional support.

The company was very responsive, they contacted my renter rather than making me be the middle man. They continued to follow up with us about the services. So far, we have had no more issues with pests. The company was professional and a pleasure to do business with.
