While the tech was late (due to circumstances beyond his control), he was polite, courteous, personable and did a great job - in spite of the black widows which appeared. JJ took time to explain things to me and went the extra mile to make up for the delay in service. I would definitely recommend Rooterman's services and will use them again in the future.

The technician, J.J., did a good job locating the tank. We only had a rough idea of the location but he was quick to find it. He explained everything that he observed and did a good job replacing the displaced soil. Don't forget, there is an internet coupon for a $20 discount.

Everything went great! Robert and Matt (I think was the name of his assistant) arrived much earlier within the window of time that I was told they would be at my house, and that was a pleasant surprise. Most service companies arrive almost at the last minute within their window. Robert and Matt were courteous, helpful, knowledgeable, and they performed the work quickly and efficiently. They let me know that although my water heater was probably going to need to be replaced sometime in the near future, that this time, only a repair would be necessary. I am 100% happy with their services, and I will definitely call Rooterman of Virginia again the next time I have plumbing issues.

These guys were fantastic! They were able to quickly locate our tank, fight with tree roots, and pump with no problem. They were able to offer advice about the tree roots and provide a treatment for our tank. The treatment was extra, but it was well worth it. They honored our online coupon. Any potential issues, I was made aware of immediately. I would definitely hire them again. They even recovered the septic tank when they were done.

It was great. In fact we needed someone to change the electrical boards on the stove that this guy installed. He was like here is someone I recommend, so he was very helpful.

We called Rooterman, who responded by sending over JB (with whom we'd worked before). JB was professional, courteous and knowledgeable and he quickly -- and correctly -- diagnosed the problem: a break in our pipe, heading out to the main sewer line. Within 17 hours he and another Rooterman rep were on hand to dig the broken piece up, replace it, cap it and clear out the remainder of the offending roots. That whole process took a bit more than 2 hours, from start to finish. Impressive.

"JJ" was scheduled for 2-5 p.m. and he was here at 1:15. He was professional and courteous. . He recommended adding an enzyme to help restore the "good bugs" and that was an additional cost ($105). I would hire this company again.

Pros: They were polite and the gentleman that came was honest. Cons: EXPENSIVE, LATE, and they charge you $59 for an estimate (since they won't give you an estimate over the phone, they have to come to your home). This was my first time using RooterMan and I was thoroughly disappointed. My appointment was scheduled to be between 12-2pm, but they didn't arrive until 3:30pm. It sounds like they consistently overschedule their plumbers, and this isn't a new problem. IAt 2:30 I called to see if someone was still coming and they apologized for not calling me to let me know he would be late but they said they would call when they were on their way. At 3:30, I was in the middle of a work call when they came to the house (because they didn't call to say he was on his way) and I wasn't able to ask questions as he did the estimate. Estimate of services: $500 for 1.5 hours of work and a 12" piece of PVC pipe. I ended up just paying the $59 service charge to have someone come out. I called another plumber and they quoted me over the phone for about 1.5 hours of work, at $95 an hour plus parts. Much more reasonable. But, I ended up doing the work myself because I didn't want to waste any more time. 30 minutes later, I have a functioning sink. Overall: I am shocked that AngiesList ratings are not accurate of their true service and pricing. I will be going elsewhere for plumbing needs in the future.

Excellent, Rooter-man was able to respond the same day we contacted them. Robert and Dustin did a fantastic job in replacing our water heater on short notice. Highly recommend Rooter-Man, they were responsive, provided a competitive price and the work was done in a high quality fashion. Will definitely be calling them again for future work!

JJ arrived the morning I called though this was not an emergency. He expressed some concern about bringing his truck under some low hanging tree limbs and then helped me prune them back a bit so he wouldn't damage them. I showed him where the septic tank was and he complemented me on knowing! In short order and with minimum fuss he located the septic tank door and began pumping. He was efficient in his work and invited me down to inspect the tank after he finished his work. He left the sod over the tank in good shape. Though I already use a bacterial agent to help speed the breakdown of solid waste, JJ reminded me to use it regularly so it would work as intended. He calculated my bill accepting a discount coupon I had mentioned to him earlier. Throughout, we engaged in pleasant conversation. I was well pleased with JJ's punctuality and professionalism, and feel I paid a fair price for the work done. All around good job.

My water usage skyrocketed the past couple months so I called Rooterman to identify and fix the source of the leak. JB came out the next day and found the source of the leak at the fitting to the water meter. They dug up the sidewalk, fixed the leaky fitting, and replaced the sidewalk that same day. They were great at communicating what they were going to do and how much it would cost before performing any work. Great experience overall.

Everything went smoothly. The provider arrived on time, told me what he was going to do and what the cost would be. After he cleaned out the tank he checked to make sure it was operating properly. Then he discussed ways to keep the system working well in the future (minimize use of bleach and anti-bacterial soaps). Very professional.

Finding the septic tank was easy since I knew where it was. That part went like clockwork. Finding the distribution box was more difficult but they came back with a camera thingy and then located it which we needed for the inspector. This was not the cheapest service but they got the job done. The two guys were friendly and professional and very hard-working.

On the dad that my father was being released from the hospital, all the drains in the house became clogged (when it rains it pours). I called Mr Rooter and explained the urgency of the matter. They had a plumber over within an hour. They were able to clear the drains quickly and helped answer all my questions thoroughly. They also provides a quote for potential future work. The technician did a great job of explaining everything.
